60 of 113 · most liked firstThis is a month of fun scary movies for me, and we're starting off with HAPPY DEATH DAY and HAPPY DEATH DAY 2U. Horror-sci-fi, sort of? Hard to describe. There's a time loop. Wish they'd made the third. Jessica Rothe is amazing.
unlabelledView post →February 13th, 2019, the American science fiction, dark comedy, time-loop, slasher film "Happy Death Day 2U" was released in theaters. A sequal, it again follows Tree Gelbman, now trapped in the same time loop of a different iteration of her world. What are some of your favorite Blumhouse films?

unlabelledView post →I watched Dream Scenario, then was like, what if I watched a horror groundhog day that isn't that good, so I watched happy death day. And now I'm watching Happy Death Day 2U. Gotta love a sequel

unlabelledView post →getting mad "Happy Death Day 2U" vibes from this trailer. i expect the film will basically be a retread of the first film with a bunch of lore that no one asked for... ...and audiences will think it's serviceable on the strength of the lead and the central gimmick.
unlabelledView post →If you asked me for my favorite horror director is, I probably wouldn't think to say Christopher Landon, but I love all four of these films: Happy Death Day Happy Death Day 2u Freaky Drop

unlabelledView post →HAPPY DEATH DAY 2U That was a bonkers, timey wimey wibbly wobbly horror movie. It's not the most original but it's pretty good. Like it a half tick more than the first one, as there's more to the story this time around. 7/10 #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days #HorrorSky
unlabelledView post →Re-Watching Happy Death Day 2U (2019)! The only thing crazier than having a mix-up in the multiverse, is having a conversation about the multiverse with someone that is way too into the multiverse! You'll enter a moment in your life where time and logic hold no meaning & escape is impossible!

unlabelledView post →FYI "Happy Death Day" and "Happy Death Day 2U" are back on Netflix. They're really fun films in the time-loop time travel genre. Nice and short too, which can be a bonus.

unlabelledView post →HAPPY DEATH DAY 2U - Solid follow-up to the fun original that keeps the basic conceit but changes it enough to keep the audience on its toes. Solid performances, likable characters, and genuine heart... it's a shame the movie completely forgot the how it started. (Dropped plot points. No big deal.)

You really can’t go wrong with mixing grief and time loops, so far as I’m concerned.
