Hamilton: In the Interest of the Nation
Carl Hamilton manages to infiltrate an international gang that has stolen advanced Swedish GPS-guided missiles. But the league is subjected to a sudden deadly attack by a well drilled group of mercenaries of unknown clients. Hamilton escapes the massacre, but the rockets have disappeared without a trace. Among them, that Margaret Hamilton was a legend, one of the greatest film villains as the Wicked Witch of the West, and that Fred Rogers gave her the chance to separate the character from the actress. Also, Romero's segment? "Mr. Rogers Gets a Tonsillectomy."

After seeing The Wizard of Oz at the Thalia classic movie theater, my parents took my sister and me to a revival of Annie Get Your Gun with Margaret Hamilton, so we could see her as a normal actress.

Max was of course flawless all weekend, but I think either Hamilton or Alonso were more deserving of DOTD, personally. Both had insane pace today, but Alonso dragging that AM to 8th and holding off Norris at the end on pure pace was just an unbelievable feat. He was also really fast on slick tires in…

neutral · AI labelView post →Saw at the cinema and loved it. Re-watched it at home a couple of months ago and I adored it. It's an absolute tragedy how such a masterpiece of film-making got overlooked due to meat-headed culture war bullshit. With the recent loss of Margaret Hamilton the 1202 alarm bit feels a bit poignant.
neutral · AI labelView post →It’s a bit more formal than Ipcress (the steady hand of Guy Hamilton rather than the furious Furie), but it’s a handsome beast of a film, and all that period 60s Berlin footage is a massive plus.
neutral · AI labelView post →What made Jaws a 'Jaws movie' was Spielberg / Fields / Gottlieb / Williams / Scheider / Dreyfus / Shaw / Gary / Hamilton. It wasn't the IP and, with respect to Peter Benchley, it wasn't the original book. Just make your own killer shark movie and keep the name 'Jaws' out of your filthy mouth.

That's the legal hook the federal charges hang on: not kratom itself, but the synthetic derivative compounds the DEA specifically…

The most obscure one is in the new Washington movie, Christopher Gist does not die at Fort Necessity and it doesn’t make sense that they make this part of the film. More complicated, because I still completely love Hamilton, is the inaccuracies around Angelica.
