Of the Running Man adaptations I've seen: Guns Akimbo, Jackpot, The Running Man (2025), I'd say it ranks first. If you want something similar but lighter, I recommend Jackpot.

He randomly grew devil horns after his girlfriend died. He seems just to be picking roles that interest him instead of trying to chase money. The two movies are good, if you don't take them too seriously. I never saw Harry Potter, so I can't compare, but his acting is good. The storyline is worth a watch, imo.
