This movie barely seems to even exist three weeks after it opened in theaters, but Keanu Reeves is really wonderful in Good Fortune. One of his best non-John Wick performances in many many years. (And so un-Wick-like too!)

I loved GOOD FORTUNE (in theaters Oct 17). A hilarious movie that’s about what it means to be human and to struggle. A tight script with great payoffs and a wonderful performance by Keanu as an angel who’s just trying to help, man. The ending was beautiful and moving and left me in tears.

Keanu Reeves gives the very best performance I have ever seen in GOOD FORTUNE, and I’m not kidding that it should’ve gotten at least Golden Globe notice. A totally delightful film.

The movie “Good Fortune” has Aziz playing his Aziz character, Seth Rogen playing his Seth Rogen guy. It’s fine. Keanu, though, as an earnest but ultimately pretty stupid angel is really funny.

Whatever Good Fortune's appeal as a socially-aware comedy had been considerably dented by writer/director and star Aziz Ansari's bad decision to play Riydah Comedy festival. That said, this is a genial, sloppy comedy lifted by a funny role for MVP Keanu Reeves. 3/5 film-authority.com/2025/10/17/g...
