Golden Axe
Created by Mike McMahan, Joe Chandler
Legendary warriors Ax Battler, Tyris Flare, and Gilius Thunderhead reunite to save Yuria from the evil giant Death Adder, who just won't seem to stay dead. Their quest is complicated by Hampton Squib, an inexperienced and wildly underprepared adventurer whose dream of heroism far exceeds his abilities. Forced to work together despite their flaws, they must find a way to stop Death Adder once and for all. From TMDB

positive · AI labelView post →A few days ago, the trailer for a series based on Golden Axe, came out. Honestly, and as someone who played these games on the Mega Drive, it directly hits my nostalgia. I think the cartoon style is an understandable, so my edit is to give the poses and shapes a slightly less rigid look.
positive · AI labelView post →It looks like you just interrupted something~ 👀🍆💦 Have you heard about that new Golden Axe series? Well, I made Chronos 😼
neutral · AI labelView post →HAPPY GOLDEN AXE WEEK! All episodes drop on P+ on Wednesday.

I've worked on things like Monster High, Golden Axe, Invader ZIM + more. Hoping to work on more cool/spooky projects this year www.dinolich.com bookshop.org/contributors...
neutral · AI labelView post →I've written an article about Taku Makino, a little-known Sega artist whose face and work you may be familiar with (notably his contributions to the Golden Axe, Sonic and Shinobi series). vgdensetsu.net/takumakino/ Article aussi dispo en français vgdensetsu.net/takumakinofr/
neutral · AI labelView post →As we head into spooky season lemme reintroduce myself— I am a director, storyboard artist, and comic creator. Projects I've worked on include Invader ZIM, Taiko x Pokemon shorts, Monster High and most recently the upcoming Golden Axe tv series. I just released book 2 of my graphic novel HELLAWEEN

The best in the series, and sadly only re-released for the Astro City Mini and other home arcade repros. Don't let that stop you though! 📺 : Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death-Adder, Sega AM1, 1992
neutral · AI labelView post →NEW TRAILER - The Paramount+ animated series GOLDEN AXE adapts the classic Sega video game. Streaming September 16. Three warriors fight through the fantasy land of Yuria on a quest to defeat Death Adder, who wields the Golden Axe.

neutral · AI labelView post →Golden Axe? They made a TV show out of Golden Axe? The game we had a cabinet of in the dorm lounge almost three decades ago (ouch) which was fun enough to play but had about zero story? That Golden Axe? ...and it's actually decent? www.youtube.com/watch?v=-b1I... @jessiegender.bsky.social
positive · AI labelView post →www.animationmagazine.net/2026/09/gold... Golden Axe, the latest show I supervised is coming out in two weeks on Paramount plus! Get a sneak peek with @mikemcmahan.bsky.social and @joechandler.bsky.social !
neutral · AI labelView post →Hello Sega while we’re greenlighting stuff like the Golden Axe show, may I suggest: Jim Henson’s Creature Workshop Presents: Dynamite Headdy Critics are saying “I cannot believe it” and “yes!”
neutral · AI labelView post →If the genre's been dormant long enough, your new generation gets a different kind of exhaustion when all they've seen IS parody. All the jokes about the Golden Axe show being a hit for the divorced 48-55 dude demographic hit on that.
neutral · AI labelView post →Dang, really likin' Chronos in the Golden Axe show. Violent pantherman! @m@
positive · AI labelView post →Sega had a huge lineup for the 1990 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Moonwalker, Phantasy Star II, and Golden Axe were some of the gems on display. Images: Beep! MD.
neutral · AI labelView post →I saw the first two episodes of Golden Axe, but what I'm really waiting for is the Gauntlet series for...reasons.
neutral · AI labelView post →Golden Axe DooM!! This will be the last thing I show off for MAP09 "The Riddle of Steel" because it is basically complete! I am in the final stretch of FINISHING G.A.D! just gotta really hammer home the three P's now (Polish, pizazz and playtesting)
neutral · AI labelView post →Golden Axe (Series) (2026) - Chronos "Evil" Lait
neutral · AI labelView post →Nothing really to show for Golden Axe DooM other than massive massive amount of polish to the first 5 maps, enemy AI, player attacks, both mounts can cast magic specific to their class and a whole bunch of little things all throughout so look at cool old screenshots in the meantime.
neutral · AI labelView post →The upcoming Golden Axe TV show from Paramount literally debuff the tyrannical juggernaut that is the Death Adder. This commission artwork by fatwuff.bsky.social is how you bulid a bulky behemoth like him while actually emulating retro 80s cartoon styles like in He-Man and the old Marvel shows.
neutral · AI labelView post →Wait the Golden Axe show is made by Mike McMahon? You idiots this show probably rules
neutral · AI labelView post →Kind of odd that we're getting a Golden Axe show when there hasn't been a new GA game in 18 years (and that game was panned). I'm disappointed they're making this a comedy. I would've enjoyed seeing a sword & sorcery show that took itself as seriously as the source material.
negative · AI labelView post →I love Golden Axe. I would have loved a show with a dark fantasy setting that fit the tone of the games. This looks really bland. Really lazy comedy was not what I'd have expected in a million years.
negative · AI labelView post →So the trailer for the animated Golden Axe series already came across as aping lazy web comic humor from the 2000s, but my eyes almost rolled out of my head at the very end: *Title Drop* Voice Over: What, like the game? AWESOME. *On Paramount+* Voice Over: Thanks Paramount! Me: 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
negative · AI labelView post →The Golden Axe series is officially happening! And I just had to make this. ⚔️ #Sega #goldenAxe #pixelart #retrogaming
neutral · AI labelView post →Golden Axe animated series for Paramount just dropped and well... Furry artists are eating good. xD
neutral · AI labelView post →It’s pretty great that they’re releasing this Golden Axe show while still never porting/reissuing Revenge of Death Adder on a single regular game console.
negative · AI labelView post →See if Konami had an aggressive IP deal currently like Capcom and Sega do, *this* is exactly the kind of "memetically memorable but dubious-quality" game I'd put up to be a mid-budget movie or a show like the "GOLDEN AXE" cartoon.
neutral · AI labelView post →They are making a series based on the old Golden Axe games, and Chronos (an anthro panther) is in it! comes out Sept 16.
neutral · AI labelView post →It’s official! ⚔️ Golden Axe: The Animated Series. Coming this September from SEGA and Paramount+
neutral · AI labelView post →It's my last week on Golden Axe. Gonna miss working on this show, and you're gonna love it, though I wish I was able to enjoy my time with the crew more.
positive · AI labelView post →Maybe I dont know much about Golden Axe, and it's a rich game of lore and fantasy. But as someone who played it a lot as a kid, the show is hilarious. Highly recommend dispite all the negativity thrown at it
positive · AI labelView post →I got my boy Gilius Thunderhead. Actually got to show my folks because they're who showed me Golden Axe when I was little. Rare generational gamer bonding moment. Thanks Sega.
neutral · AI labelView post →The problem with a new Golden Axe show is that the franchise has been low-hanging fruit forever, as far as game humour is concerned. When I see Gilus Thunderhead I immediately assume he has a condom full of cocaine shoved up his ass.
negative · AI labelView post →Wrapping up on Golden Axe the beginning of August (sad) so I'm on the look out for directing, storyboard (tv or feature), and development roles. Lemme work on your cool comedy adventure show or board your spooky pilot. My gn HELLAWEEN v2 is also coming out Aug20! #PortfolioDay

neutral · AI labelView post →>> A Hi-Fi Rush animator is working on the Golden Axe show oh...oh is this show gonna be baller in the visual department, isn't it?
positive · AI labelView post →How life feels now that Helluva Boss is consistently good, Stupid Never Dies comes out later this month, Nier Automata is going to have a DBD collab, The Golden Axe show was a ton of fun, and I have two concerts lined up to attend in October
positive · AI labelView post →Watched the first four episodes of the Golden Axe show with Nil They had * A panther man who can cast a magic fog that people complain about the scent of but eventually say it grows on you (musk) * A centaur with a horse head * Vore * A friendly anthropomorphic gryphon guy who gets skeletonized
neutral · AI labelView post →I think I might be excited about Golden Axe, the animated show. www.youtube.com/watch?v=sStb...
positive · AI labelView post →The Golden Axe show looks great, Stupid Never Dies full theme song dropped, I'm starting to feel confident about my work again....man, if I had more money it'd be a perfect day xD
positive · AI labelView post →Honestly, Golden Axe hasn't had a good game since 1992. How can I get mad at a TV show that "pisses on its legacy" when it doesn't have a legacy worth pissing on?
positive · AI labelView post →Golden Axe was one of my very first games and I don't think I'm... at all interested in the show tbh?
negative · AI labelView post →The first trailer for Paramount’s Golden Axe cartoon contains magic, meta humour and a September release date. The show was co-created by Star Trek: Lower Decks and Solar Opposites creator Mike McMahan. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/the-fir...
neutral · AI labelView post →Huh Out of all the SEGA IPs to get a new animated show, didn't think it'd be Golden Axe o.o But hell yea! It looks like it'll be a good watch!
positive · AI labelView post →The imporant thing about the Golden Axe animated series is that we're gonna put it up on the ranking list of all the other good Sega animated projects, like the Virtua Fighter anime, the Panzer Dragoon OVA, and Sonic Underground.
neutral · AI labelView post →Ya know, it's crazy how the Golden Axe show came out on the 16th but I didn't realize it came out till the 28th despite being the only Golden Axe fan any of you follow and it's entirely because Paramount+ is the service where a show's chance of being marketed goes to die :/
negative · AI labelView post →Chronos "Evil" Lait from the new Golden Axe tv show and Golden Axe 3 #goldenaxe #bara #furryart

positive · AI labelView post →who was asking for a Golden Axe TV show in 2026
negative · AI labelView post →'Golden Axe' animated series is coming to Paramount on September 16th. youtu.be/sStbBtfGaLA
neutral · AI labelView post →I'm still a little uneasy about the planned Golden Axe animated series being a comedy of all things...
negative · AI labelView post →I like that new Golden Axe show. It has... like... actual good animation. I can imagine the writing isn't for everyone. But at this point I'm giving double thumbs up to anything that doesn't use AI.
positive · AI labelView post →every time I remember how good the Golden Axe tv show is going to be I get mad that it's not out yet.
positive · AI labelView post →I'm really enjoying working on Golden Axe. Funnest show to paint on since Over the Garden Wall.
