And gives advice to use an external software. You can't be serious bro ... I almost forgot to say, this game has been released with the development being completely abandonned. Want to play the 3 other campain you see on the campain screen ? Haha, good luck, there is only 1/4 available. That's what we call a scam.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game focuses on all of the least fun aspects of tactical turn based combat games. Combat is heavily based on your ability to push enemies into rocks... or rocks into enemies. Really? When you were designing the game, you were like "We could either have really cool abilities... or we can have people push rocks around." And you chose the rocks!?! You do have some weak regular attacks that don't involve throwing rocks... but those are heavily penalized by percentage based cover…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't review often, but i'm so disappointed... Campaign is good, you discover 4 different classes for humans, as it's the only campaign. And then, you finish it, a bit short but still good, and you think ok now time to try the other factions, I want to discover those new classes !! And then...you realize that no, they just copy/paste classes of humans, changed buildings so they give different passives to your units, but nothing new, so I just quit and stop play, else it's just boring doing…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fort Triumph isn't bad but it's not great either. Singleplayer campaign is pretty light and funny; your merry band of heroes have to defeat fallen paladin and safe the Kingdom. You will take command of three squads up to 5 heroes each, they will visit various locations on a world map, collect resources, capture towns and fight dozens of enemies. Sounds familiar? You are right, gameplay reminds Heroes of Might & Magic series. The main difference is the type of combat: you don't hire regular…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heroes of Might and Magic + XCOM sounds at first like an amazing idea, but the lack of variety in enemies and abilities means the game becomes repetitive long before you've finished the campaign.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can kick down trees to crush opponents and it's free on Epic this week 🏰
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Medieval X-COM. Combat is fun, but the game lacks interesting meta-progression mechanics. You're mostly stuck with the same 4 characters through the whole campaign, as it's mostly not worth it to raise any other characters. In my experience, I never got to fiddle with different builds or character combinations, just went up and chose the best choices with the 4 initial characters and it was enough. This is very different from X-COM, where you had to constantly switch between squads and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This feels and plays like a mobile game. The main attacks are pushing rocks or dropping objects onto enemies because this will also stun them (unlike your attacks that also seem to miss more than the enemies). This kind of play also makes any cover a threat. New abilities are random but i guess this is to make the units feel different with 4 classes. There is a bit of base building (for upgrades) and you can have more than 1 squad (i think 3 max). There is perma death and you can turn it off…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like strategic games with the round action, like "X-COM". But with 9 hours of playing this game, I'm done with this one. Only 4 classes, random abilities in the level up (rare, uncommon and common... someone is playing too much Magic), a flawed difficulty system (12 monsters and 3 monsters are rated difficulty 3... but without any area attack - I'm looking to you, mage - multiple monsters are a real TPK factor)... to me this game seems a waste of time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute game, but is extremely buggy. Opposition ranged units get up to 3 attacks and move per turn. Melee enemies can move twice as far as PC chars and attack. You get to move and attack once per round, OR move twice (range highlighted) you dont get to attack move attack and then go into over watch. The game should 100% be the same for npc as it is for pc

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fort Triumph is a procedural generated turn-based tactics game with RPG and base management elements. The game blends different elements well so that players can enjoy every aspect of the game. The game offers: 4 different factions (the campaign focuses on one faction only. Skirmish allows you to choose from all 4 factions). All factions share some common buildings. Each faction has its own buildings that provide different bonuses. 4 different hero classes are shared between factions…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The idea of HoMM-like TRPG with rogue-like elements is good. The idea of physics attacks in tactical battles is also good. However, the execution is bad. There is no way to predict how far an attack pushes someone or is it even possible or how much damage it would do. There is no confirmation dialogue or anything, if you accidentally try to shoot a rock next to a goblin with an arrow. And some physics attacks do not make sense, for example, one of my heroes was pulled through a wall without…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has 0 respect for your time. It sends waves and waves of trash enemies toward your castle that is no threat to your party but you must go back and defeat or they take your town. And the load times are atrocious.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun little game, not very complicated. Took me about 10 hours to go through the campaign. Didn't try out the skirmish or multiplayer modes. Gameplay is enjoyable but toward the end lost its shine. There isn't a lot of character customization, on certain level ups you can select one of three randomly selected new abilities but the pool for each of the four character types is small. I would recommend this if you're looking for a more casual turn based strategy game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Change your freaking controls. Jeez. Or at least let people change them in settings. Why devs don't stick to default generalized control settings? Why there is ALWAYS one game that OutStAndS™ others with UniqUeneSs™ by doing something that just pisses off more than doing something good? Who thought that accepting and confirming will be a good idea to assign to right click? I'm playing on legendary mode and controls add another level of frustration to it cause I'm fuccen up half of my movements…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1. Control scheme is not friendly to controller. 2. Unclear stats. ex. one of the selling point of this game is the physics system in combat, pushing rocks/trees to crush/stun enemy etc, but you cannot check how far you can push things... 3. The mix of XCOM cover/overwatch system and physics system are combined poorly. One requires you stick with the cover and the other wants you to stay away from it to avoid got stunned by enemies. It sounds great in theory to balance the risk and reward but…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm 100% sure that there is an audience that will love this game, but as a fan of the obvious markets... it's not me. While I haven't played for that long, but I'm really not enjoying the experience. It's a mash up of Heroes of Might and Magic Meta with X-Com combat. You and the others players are sending out heroes to explore a ProcGen world collecting resources, fighting static mobs and completing random events. These resources are used to build up your home cities and eventually letting…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Forth Triumph is an unexpected, raw gem I just discovered by pure coincidence. As a big fan of HoMM and XCOM I really liked Fort Triumph. It combines the core concepts of both games very well! The screenshots looked cheap though, but I am happy I gave it a try! Although, it has no full audio I really enjoyed the story writing and the dialogues (typically I am too lazy to read and just skip but here I took the time to read). The graphics are not as bad as I first thought. They are actually…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Times like these are when I wish I could give a 'meh' rating. I'm giving a thumbs up because I like the game. But this a hard, hard sell. For clarity's sake, I got this in a humble bundle, so I got it cheap. Despite this, in some way I feel like I didn't get a quality product. This is frustrating because there was not a moment with the game I didn't enjoy, and I'll probably keep enjoying it. But that's mostly because of the kind of game player I am, the sort that enjoys a tactical challenge…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fort Triumph takes the strategic layer of Heroes of Might and Magic and replaces the tactical layer with XCOM-like combat. It's a very cool concept that I'd like to see more games take. That said, don't expect a full length game, this is more of a mini-game, with far less complexity and content than either HoMM or XCOM. I got 100% completion in under 20 hours. The main campaign is quite short, only three missions. For what it is, I had fun, and considering I only paid $2 for it, it was…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got stuck in the final act, can't path to the quest objective. Fun fun fun. Maybe don't do procedural generation if you suck.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Devs, This game feels unfinished - where is act 2? what happened to the characters that were created? and the artifacts i found?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I finished first campaign chapter, then I clicked "save and exit" on the screen where you select characters/items to start next chapter with, and it saved into auto-save slot (of which there's only one) which got overwritten when I later started a skirmish. Well I guess I won't be playing the stupid campaign, all the dialogues are cringe anyway. Other than that, it's an OK combination of HOMM/Disciples and XCOM.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Makes my GPU catch on fire every time I play it. Must be the amazing graphics??? WTF? House is nice and warm now. *cough* *cough*
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →5/10 combat is just soo dry its got this weird cover system and key binds that kill the game for me
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If some one or 'somting' is standing in your way, just kick them around the map to they die, trow in some water/ice strom then sitt back and watch them slide into each other like bowlingballs. Strike! 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →🏆 Overall rating: 8.5/10 This is truly one of those great games that not many people know about. With 3 races, 4 character classes, each class has a different way of building a skill tree, combined with positive/negative characteristics, making the game much more diverse and interesting. The interaction between the environment and the game's skills is a point that I appreciate. Collecting items, skills and resources on the map will help your army become stronger. With 3 levels, it is enough…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it was a great game until act 2 started you can't take your progress from act 1 with you items you've collected can't be taken over to act2 and you have to collect everything again even all the heroes can't be taken with you this is a bad game design
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fort Triumph provides a fun and compelling spin on the XCOM formula. Battles are both tense and strategic, with the option to manipulate the environment using a wide-array of varied abilities proving hugely enjoyable. If you’re looking for a new turn-based tactical RPG with colorful graphics and a lighthearted story, then Fort Triumph could be for you. It offers lots of content to take on, four factions, and four hero classes to level up as you go, making the most of their skills and abilities.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game deserves more recognition, it may be the best example around of phisics added to tactical combat. I only wish it had more variety. There were only 4 classes, and in mid to high levels, you had a thousand skills that let you do more or less the same thing. Felt a little wasteful. Also, not a fan of the comedic approach of the story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fun and worth a play. I got the game for free on epic and then bought it here on steam to support the developer. It seems to be their only game, so I'm curious to see what they do next. If they do a second game with these mechanics, They can expand on everything as it is a good base game with good expansion potential. I really liked the idea of building up a fort and attacking and defending forts. And that was the main reason i tried it. It would be cool if they did more with that.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not perfect, but ultimately enjoyed this game, an interesting spin on the XCOM/HMOM formula. Worth getting on sale. I like some of the things they add, though I do think there's room for improvement - I would probably go for a sequel that addressed them. 1) I like the overworld map, adventuring over a span of turns, building parties, etc. I find, however, that each chapter is so short that there's rarely a reason to actually explore the world in any detail (and since monsters are constantly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR - Cute but has no content, get it on sale. I absolutely love the concept of this game, but it is lacking severely 😞 There's barely any content - needs more campaigns, creatures, factions and overall more replayability value. It could be a top tier co-op game if it was more polished towards it. Battles rely too much on physics - which can be an upside to some and downside to some, I liked the physics system but I think winning the game feels too reliant on it. Game seems abandoned…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Started OK then I killed myself by attacking an enemy which made a tree explode on me (?) and then I uninstalled the game. I guess the whole physics gimmick is what sets this apart from other turnbased games but it's not for me. No way to tell how far stuff travels when you kick, or what direction a tree will blow from a tornado etc. Meh.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I booted this game up and had hopes that it'd be a combination of Heroes and Might and Magic and Xcom. It's a combination of them, for sure, but bad. The strategic layer is more bothersome to deal with than particularly helpful, and I ignored it almost entirely throughout the campaign. The tactical layer simultaneously relies too hard on physics gimmicks while not having those physics do enough damage to make fights fast; ultimately, I found that using physics to stun enemies and just bonking…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fort Triumph does a lot of things that should appeal to me, but in the end if I play a game for about an hour and a half and feel bored instead of engaged, then there is a serious problem with the game. The game tries to be both a tactical battler a la XCOM and a Heroes of Might and Magic-style quest and exploration game. There are some good mechanics in the game, like the interactive terrain and some interesting synergies between the characters. However, the factions (at least in the opening…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would like to see more of it, cause the physics based combat is really good but lacks in depth.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun indie game, imagine the 4x map of Heroes of Might and Magic, with Xcom style combat. Pretty fun though short campaign. Needs a few more factions though. I got this through humble choice.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun enough to play...lots of freedom of action but not hard to learn. Clever dialogue...relatively short campaign...clearly meant for players to explore skirmish but game play not compelling enough for me with a story line. Worth a play through for certain!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The strategic map is similar to Age of Wonders: your parties of heroes roam around the map fighting groups of enemies, collecting loot and capturing resource producing buildings. Combat is turn based, moderately complicated but fast paced. There are 4 character classes all with interesting skills. Due to the somewhat random way that new skills are made available at level up, different traits the characters can have, and powerful artifacts they can have, no two characters of the same class…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty nice game. It's short, lighthearted and not overly complex. The main gimmick is using the environment to fight and it's pretty fun. It becomes repetitive quite fast but since it's a short game it doesn't bother me that much. Kinda reminds me of Dungeon of Naheulbeuk for the storytelling aspect.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Murder hobos, tossin gobbos. Now Fortified with even more Triumph!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to like this game, since I love XCOM and Heroes of M&M, but there is something that makes it boring. I can't put the my finger on the exact issue but I hate the negative traits that suddenly makes the heroes useless. I don't like the skill tree and I don't like the simple item slots. Completed Act 1 but felt no need to explore the map and could complete everything by just doing the main objectives.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cutsy. Its entertaining for a short while but then it becomes very boring and repetitive very fast. Gameplay loop is basically the same over and over; fight battles to gain renown, use renown to upgrade your party skill and size until you can just click "Auto-Win" on every NPC, then go wipe out the enemy "player" towns. OR: same thing but you didn't do it fast enough and the AI "player" comes at you with overwhelming force. Refund even at $5. It also must not be doing well since they…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game campaign length is just alight. You learn all the mechanics and campaign ends. Really, many of modern games continue after the point they become boring. This does not. The game does not offer a lot of replayability, most races are essentially the same. If you want something like HoMM, this is not the case. Play the game once for two days and have fun. Legendary difficulty is ok if you don't rush campaign encounters. A piece of advice. It is not possible to max all skills. Thus most…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun. I just wish there was more of it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too simplistic, not enough unit/hero variety, high ground means nothing ( if you can find it ), lack of tactics, and overall rather bland. I can not really recommend this game to anyone at this time as it just feels half baked as if it was not totally completed. I do like the idea but it is far too simple in comparison to other titles and what they can offer so spend your gaming dollar on those instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been tearing through tactical combat games for a while, and this is a standout. It's on a very short list of titles that have thoroughly engaged me and left an impression in my memory, It's the enemy push/pull and environmental interaction that do it. Use an arrow to push a goblin in front of an ally, the ally kicks it into a pillar that falls on its head, it's great! Where it falls short: elevation is not a mechanic. That means you can't kick an enemy off a cliff to take fall damage,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's OK. But the meta-map doesn't quite work. And the random hero traits & skill trees are more irritating than fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was very hyped about this game: a strategic map and city building like HoMM and tactical battles like Xcom. What could go wrong? It turns out, a lot. First of all, the writing is horrible (unless you are 5 years old). It tries to be funny, but in fact turns out to be too long and boring. The jokes are pretty dull, the character's are rather stupid than funny, and there are zero memorable scenes in this game. And, of course, the story is as chiched as it could possibly be. Then, the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantasy XCom, what's not to love?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice tactical combat with a heavy slant towards using the environment. The writing is charming and fun too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its ok for what it is but there is not much replayability in the game since there are few classes that can be [picked. buy on sale main campaign took me 5 hours to complete so its not that long of a game. towns are limited of what can you build and mostly there is not that great variety in skills per hero
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok. This game is just ok. It's not XCOM enough to satisfy the itch, and it's just meh in the RPG department. I would leave a neutral review, if I could. 5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simplistic and overly so. From the city to the party building, it feels shallow. The combat is interesting as you get to kick objects and stun or crush enemies by doing so. This works sort of well but it does make cover useless. It also introduces situations where you will misclick and something unsatisfying will happen as a result. Unfortunately, there's no way to undo a turn. There are approximately 3 campaign levels and they're very short. You're allowed to carry over 4 adventurers,1 item…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recipe for "Fort Triumph"" Take 1/2 cup of base-building from "Heroes of Might & Magic", 2 full cups of "Warcraft III: graphics, 3/4 cup of tactical combat from XCOM, add 1 teaspoon of hilariously useful kick from "Dark Messiah of Might & Magic" and 1 pinch of Sir Terry Pratchett's humour. Stir vigorously. Once you reach a colourful mass, bake it in the oven for 2 hours. Best served with mead.
