60 of 77 · most liked firstThis game is good. Exceptionally good if you are looking for semi-casual arcade F1 racing game. After the updates the steering is crisp and precise on the controller, the cars handle really good and predictable, the difficulty is (mostly) fair. Custom camera settings is just a cherry on top. However, as of right now I can't recommend it for a very particular reason. The reason is the DLC strategy. We are only 3 months after the release, and the devs already released 5 DLCs, that sum up to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8 DLCs for a game that isn’t even one year old. I haven’t seen such a scammy business model even from AAA companies.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun to play but all the DLC's are almost as much as the game, the new one is an actual new season with new cars instead of one for an already existing season and devs are planning more :) not a fan
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While at launch the game was a litlle raw (controls were difficult, AI contacts were bad), all of this has been corrected. Its a fun game rather arcadish but with some interesting twists (should i keep my tires one lap more or change them now but risk to need to change them again if rain come ?) Moreovver it takes the history of F1 starting now in 50s and ending with actual season. The feel is nice, the DLC are getting better and better, the last one is a must ! I spent 50 hours and want to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →when you have hundreds of players complaining about controllers not working, DO YOUR JOB. I don't want to launch a brand new game and have to do tech support to make it work. Not worth it's price (promotion btw) and why is this still having good reviews?! It looked fun tho, it's a shame.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR Good with a controller, great with a wheel General comments This review is relevant as of the 1.4 patch. This game is an arcade racer with chibi-style graphics and, surprisingly, many sim elements (chibisim?) that blend together really well to make a good racing game that is well worth the money. Nevertheless, the game has its idiosyncrasies, especially in the way controllers work. This means that I can't recommend it unreservedly if you play with a controller. Despite the oddball…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would say: Don´t buy yet. This game has a lot of work to be done. The gameplay is not balanced at all and is very punitive. For a game considered "arcade" I was expecting a funnier and relaxed gameplay. For steam deck players is even worse, and I got the game to play on deck. I will keep it tho because I liked the concept and the way the carreer mode was designed. The complexty and strategy present is also very interesting. It has potential. I really hope that the driving experience itself…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've tried the demo, with all it's flaws. I loved the atmosphere, the cars, the tracks, didn't like the handling. It felt like the game was intended for keyboard controls, and it was. Controller had no analog steering or analog breaking/accelerating, you had to constantly finger acceleration in corners because it wasn't analog. New patch with the controls update (alternative) released, and boy was I excited. I bought the game in hopes that devs decided to support controllers, and....…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the concept is awesome, the gameplay is arcade-ish but still tryhard the problem is that it's a racing game which means you have to race other cars. Either put normal or below difficulty and outlap the whole grid, either put in hard+ mode and have them play mario kart with you, crashing into you as soon as possible which is stupid for a f1 game. Throws away the interest of this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →🏁 We beat the game! Genuinely onna my fave driving game experiences of the year. Thank you all for coming! Tomorrow we get to try Formula Legends for the first time! #DieselTV
unlabelledView post →The premise of this game is fantastic and right up my alley. In reality, this game falls short in quite a few aspects. - The AI is incredibly inconsistent and performs completely differently on a track-by-track basis. Sometimes I’m lapping the field, sometimes I’m getting absolutely gapped. Could be a skill issue, but it feels off. The AI also will just ram you off the track - zero attempts to avoid contact - they will constantly spin you out. With some racing games, navigating through…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very fun game. Arcadey but it's pretty tight, you can't expect to just wing it on an unknown track. Loooots of content: tracks, cars, teams, seasons. It has a demo. Why are you reading this? Go play a demo instead. Then you can decide if you want it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →uninstalled because it said wheel would work it didnt and then got ghosted by devs for a fix
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm at a war with this game. I feel awful not recommending it. When I first saw it, I thought "this is an awesome idea". I have thought for a long time about a game that would tackle autosport historically, but always knew F1/EA would never tackle this. FL is different from what I thought about but still looked great. The reality is, I can't handle it. I play a lot of racing games and I'm far from great at them but mostly I can get better, have decent races and, above all, have fun. The…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good concept, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ai, horrible physics are penalties only for the player and the worst understeer i have ever seen in my life
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Formula Legends - What to expect & What is required of the player I was anticipating the launch of this game for almost a year prior to its release. It was something I was looking very forward to, in-part due to my time with Art of Rally whilst I found out Formula Legends was in development. I was at the start of my "sim-cade" racing debut; only just starting to explore the rabbit hole. Time went on and updates were few and far between. This only increased my anticipation for the title.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Experienced on the Meta Quest 3 You can view my VR gameplay here: https://youtu.be/Kbh33asMK1A Yes, you can play Formula Legends in VR using UEVR (nightly) by praydog. It's completely free. Just search for it. No special profile needed, it works right out of the box. However, I do recommend turning off depth of field. Also, you will probably need to mess with the custom camera to get the right camera angle and turn off helmet. Game was running at a steady 90 fps on my RTX 5090. I used a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The potential of this game is huge but right now after two updates I cannot recommend it. The AI in this are not up to scratch sadly, they drive like complete amateurs not F1 drivers, I can go from last to first on hardest difficulty and win by a handsome margin. After completing all the championships I have no desire to repeat because there is no challenge to be had, the £20 price tag is also too steep for longevity of this title, It badly needs multiplayer and much better AI, if this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would really, really like this game to be the fun F1-themed arcade racer I sometimes crave for. But it isn't. While steering has improved, there are still bland tracks without flow and braindead AI that follow their predetermined path and rear end you at every opportunity. You are not racing against opponents but trying to navigate around the shortcomings of the game. Never a good sign.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: As a long term motorsport fan I was really well entertained by the creativity of “coincidentally” familiar drivers and teams, however, as an arcade racing fan, I was a bit disappointed with heavy car handling and overall racing experience and technical issues that appear way too often. All in all, if you want an arcade racing game, there are definitely better options when it comes to driving at the cost of comedy value. Let’s start with positives. I really appreciate there is a demo, I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Protip if you don't like the kart-like "steer the camera" cam: the option to loosen up the camera is buried in the in-game pause menu. Pause, switch to the custom camera, adjust position, then adjust the rotational velocity option to your liking. This is a cautious recommend because Formula Legends essentially suffers from an identity crisis as of now. It's good... awesome even, but who is it for? It is clearly intended for the fans of historical F1 and they have done their homework on that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the few games I refunded. It is charming but it needs a lot of work. Most issues I faced had to do with AI opponents and the car failing seamingly for no specific reason. It is frustating and not fun at all. I had an easier time adapting to rally sims. The fact that this game already has 5 DLC doesn't bring me much hope for improvement.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do I think the gameplay such as car handling and AI drivers are great? No. Does the game have balance issues? Yes. But you can tell a lot of heart and soul went into this loving tribute to Formula One racing. Lots of little details, history, nice UI, good sound and this unreal engine game runs fine on aging hardware. So it gets a thumbs up despite room for improvement.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know. There are some things to like here: mostly the tracks and general presentation. But the bad handling which feels like you have configured have your controller range as a dead zone, paired with the mountain of DLCs they keep pumping like there is no tomorrow makes this hard to recommend. There was a patch a while ago that added an alternative, so called improved handling model, but to be honest I found it worse than the original one. After a few hours you still get used to the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty cool racing game with lots of content, although most of it come from paid DLCs you will want to buy to enjoy a full experience, and this is where you realize you nearly spent the base game price twice. This is a common issue in racing games anyway. Attention to detail is great (some will say this is what you should expect) REGARDING THE PLAYER: fuel and tire consumption, slipstream, pit stops, DRS/aerodynamics/battery modes, different car models with their own handling…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →According to the trailer for the Formula E DLC for Formula Legends you will be able to drive the Gen1. You had better be able to get out and switch cars mid race or else game ruined. youtu.be/aEelrOjZJdc?...

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Demo was great but the full game has all the cars randomly steering off into a wall with zero imput from me! why could the demo car drive in a straight line but the full game cars cant?! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ false advertising ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! Don't get this game!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The difficulty isn't fun. Thought I'd found the sweet spot at Easy (as appose to Very Easy, which doesn't account for any Achievements) with the first track of Story mode, then I'm just getting wasted on the second/Monaco track. Sooo many Qualifying/Race Laps, and now I'm looking to have to restart the Championship all over again 'cos I can't come even remotely close to podium at Monaco, which kinda sucks. Everything else seems cool, but the difficulty makes this a super-frustrating…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Downvotes are people with skill issues. Great game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Everything is great in this game: the track design, the car design ,the ui, the carrer, everything great except the actual racing, opponents will push you off the track even if it will ruin their own race, if you dont start at the front you will encounter a huge pile of cars just standing still in the middle of t1.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is phenomenal!!! It has everything it takes to be the perfect couch game for a ruthless, head-to-head battle with friends. The only problem... It doesn't have split-screen, so I can't do that. It's a perfect arcade racer for overtaking and counter-overtaking, maybe with a good handicap setting to balance out different skill levels.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At least at the time of writing this review there is little to no content to delve into. The so called "story mode" has NO story at all, and is more of a pre made selection of races. If they add an ACTUAL story mode or a career mode I could recommend this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Difficulty curve is a lot. As a casual gamer i struggle to hit podium even on easy difficulties and with assists on. More expierenced racing game fans will probaby enjoy this and find it much easier than I do.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Moza wheel/pedals don't work and there seems to be no way of fixing it. Also, I can't use my controller as the controller option is locked to wheel only.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanna like this, but at this point, I can't. Both steering models are terrible. The original one feels like you're controlling an oil tanker. The alternative model is more responsive, but the cars still don't behave like cars. There's a lot of understeer at the beginning which then suddenly turns into oversteer - but not in a snappy way, it's more like an accelerated shift from 'not turning' to 'turning a lot'. This is neither realistic nor fun. Honestly, I don't get the idea behind…

unlabelledView post →This game is awful. The original controls are absurdly terrible, the alternate is okay but nothing special, there is absolutely no sense of speed, 50km/h feels exactly the same as 250km/h, the camera is hard glued to the same location which means that the sense of driving in this game feels dead, the tire change minigame requires you to press buttons in the right order and their animation just literally makes them grow in size, no sound effect, no emphasis on the button coming into existence,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lots of fun, more enjoyable now wheel support has been added. Looking forward to watching it get better and better. Those reviews expecting this to be some sort of alternative to the F1 series with their multimillion dollar budgets... what the hell is wrong with you lol
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They say steering wheel support? There is no support id stay away from this game a lot of issues! Controller does not even work game is garbage!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →please I am begging you make this game multiplayer. This is an amazing game that I would love to share with my friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is ok, and I had some fun with it. But it's becoming something of a base game with a bunch of DLCs, even for seasons, and the game was launched not a long time ago. If this follows as it`s going, I think that, in the next months, they will release DLCs for menus, for controllers, and so on. For those who followed the development, as I did, it feels like wasted time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game... But I can't. The handling is terrible, the A.I. are consistent — at crashing into the wall and taking you out with them at genuinely EVERY. SINGLE. OPPORTUNITY. When you're just behind the A.I. drivers, they seem to slow down and body block you so you can't get past; yet when you're ahead of them they drive like prime Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher had a baby and Max Verstappen was the surrogate mother. The game lacks any real polish. I mean, it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have a huge chunk of time on my Ps5, bought it here for the steam deck, and to support the devs! Love this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the vibe of this game. The small, cartoony yet detailed cars look amazing, the tracks evolve naturally and look fantastic, and the UI changes for each era are nigh-on perfect. For an unofficial arcade-style racer, it honours the history of F1 in a way the official games stay away from. The legally-distinct driver / team names are hilarious too (Gerd Berg, Chuck Morris, Nicholas Goatifi). The game runs decently, if not spectacularly. I haven't encountered any game-breaking bugs, though…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is broken, it has the the kind of issues that can't be fixed in a patch, the game needs a total overhaul, a reboot maybe. The handling is a joke, the kind of game play you would expect from a game developer that doesn't have any in house games testers, that actually play the game, it's frustrating when you start a game and it asks me to choose which style of handling I want, before I've played the damn thing, it has issues using the keyboard and mouse, like the mouse curser is there…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted a break from one of my favourite recent arcade racers, New Star GP. Which was great but the progression was a grind. Then I saw this, loved the historic angle and aesthetics but I heard the handling and AI was off so held out for a bit. Bought it after I heard the patch was out and improved things ... Well, after less than 30 minutes (a record for me abandoning a game), I'm going to have to concede this isn't for me. It doesn't feel any fun to drive from either a sim or arcade…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm only on the first two races of the 60's but the steering feels really bad, braking feels super inconsistent, and the AI are outright braindead, just sending it into the wall on T1 and not even trying to follow the semblance of a line. I hope it improves because I like the concept but this has a ton of flaws at the moment.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really Good game and shows the history of formula 1 with easy to learn controls but hard to master
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has the absolute worst AI I've ever seen in a racing game and it makes it nearly impossible to have a clean race. They just added a new 'Very Hard' difficulty to fill the demand of people wanting better AI to compete against and I swear they just upped their speed and qualifying time instead of changing any of ways the AI actually reacts and drives in a race. On top of that, when it stops raining on the track, you are the only driver who will have traction issues until the track is bone…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is actively un-fun. It seems to expect and require sim racing precision when you'd expect it to be an arcade racer that can easily be played with a controller. It's like the worst of both worlds. I enjoy sim racing, but those games are tuned with precision, support the full gambit of sim racing kits, and run with pretty exceptional performance and graphics fidelity which doesn't make them feel punishing. This game on the other hand is a goofy fun charming indie racer that will punish…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is absolutely incredible. Mod friendly and all the real life skins are already available. The developer is super active on discord and constantly listening to feedback. Takes a few races to get a feel for it but man when it clicks you won't put it down
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A new update has added online multiplayer to arcade racer Formula Legends, as the game celebrates its first anniversary. More info here: traxion.gg/online-multi...
unlabelledView post →It's a fun game that probably excels in multiplayer or local co-op. You can see the love for the sport in the era-adjusted HUDs, tracks, and names. Who could Hans Troll be? The menu has some performance issues but once you're in-game, it runs smoothly (1440p @ 120 on a modern mid-tier GPU) For me it's just not my cup of tea (meh tyre wear, full throttle at the apex in the dry AND wet). Refunded only because I was assured more realism by the developer in the discussions - which isn't…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a game that's supposed to be an arcade style F1 racer, it tries very hard not to be. The weather conditions are far from consistent. Rain stopping in one Era on a track will have a completely different duration on a different Era in the same track. You can't time your tire changes properly and have to restart your race after you figure out you can keep your Wets 2-3 laps after it says the rain is stopping. Walls are far too punishing for a non-sim F1 game. You can barely scrape the wall…
