They couldn't be bothered to disable a couple of network calls and release a 55kb patch, so the game is busted. They still sell it, though. Why? Because they're F-Youbisoft, that's why. I paid for this game, but I don't own it, apparently. "If buying isn't owning, then piracy isn't stealing." Infer from that what you will, but I do not recommend paying for this game. Don't get me…

unlabelledView post →This is definitely my favourite Far Cry game. I completed it once when it came out, and then now 10+ years later, and it still slaps. This is what happens when developers are allowed to make a fun game and have fun making it. However, here's an elephant in the room — the game freezes for a solid minute each time you open the menu, because greedy Ubisoft decided to just turn off servers for their DRM or something, instead of removing it from the game completely, or, you know, not adding it at…

They know your Steam email but still can't sort their ♥♥♥♥ out properly with decade-old games. i mean look it up your self dighead. Cracked torents of ubisoft games are always better since the management system is a joke. Not to mention the whole Asmongold cameo shit. I genuinely wish grifters nothing but the worst and I hope they all experience bankruptcy after their side throws them under the bus.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon was made in a time when even big Publishers threw money at a studio when they told them about a fun idea and let them get to work. And thanks to this, we are blessed with the absolute gem Blood Dragon is. And it is rightfully very beloved. The best way I could describe the game is with a recipe: Step 1. Add all super manly 80s action movies into the bowl, the more muscles, the more guns, the better Step 2. Add Cheesey one liners, the more the better Step 3. Add Guns,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is stupid, not in a bad way at all though. It has all the things we hate about poorly made video games, so so storytelling, repetitive catch phrases, and next to no explanation for half of the stuff that happens. The difference here is that all of this was intentional. It's all meant to feel like a poorly written 80's action movie, and boy did they nail that feeling right on the head.

unlabelledView post →I originally played this gem years ago on Uplay. I recently bought and downloaded it on Steam to properly finish it and hunt the achievements. Unfortunately, classic Ubisoft launcher antics struck: the autosync immediately unlocked every single Steam achievement the second the game booted. It felt incredibly sus and honestly a bit sad, since I wanted to earn them all over again by myself (but then again I had the same issue with Far Cry 3 few days ago). But I didn't let that stop me. I still…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was something...not my type but for some far cry scy-fy action it is ok...6/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Completely ridiculous and i absolutely love it. The 80s action movie aesthetic is taken to its logical extreme and the humor is perfect. Short but packed with personality.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is proof that when developers are allowed to stop taking themselves seriously, magic happens. It is a glorious, neon-puke love letter to 80s sci-fi and action cinema that manages to be better than it has any right to be. It’s no secret that this game reuses the Far Cry 3 assets and effectively the same map, but you’d hardly know it. The tropical paradise of the main game is replaced by an eternal night illuminated by blinding lasers and synth-wave aesthetics. It’s a…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember playing Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon upon its release and, at the time, I (mis)understood it primarily as a tongue-in-cheek parody of 1980-90s science-fiction action films (Ranging from Escape From NY to DEMOLITION MAN). Something amusing, ridiculous, and deliberately over-the-top—a gloriously stupid little side project built around neon, explosions, cyborgs, one-liners, and the aesthetic excesses of the Reagan era - it was very...NOT Far Cry...luckily, this has helped it stand the test…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You install a cool game you've bought a while ago on sale. Some blurry launcher window shows up asking you to create another account. You close the game and search for a way to refund the game. Simple as. Having additional level of DRM in a 13 year old game which has been cracked 13 years ago is very unnecessary.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely awesome game. I think I enjoyed it more than FC3 base game. Initially it seems like a mod but it has a really cool 80's synthwave style which is just awesome. Guns are fun. The dragon and base mechanic is really cool. Its too long around 10 hours but that was the right amount of time for the game. Characters are over the top and funny. Its actually pretty corn and funny at the same time. I strongly recommend it to anyone who likes shooters and especially the purple haze / neon of the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you’re on the fence about Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, let me just say this upfront: I went in thinking it was just a lazy neon reskin of Far Cry 3… and I was completely wrong. First off, yes, a lot of the regular wildlife basically has glowing eyes and a radioactive makeover. On the surface, it does look like a stylish rehash. But once you actually start playing, it quickly becomes clear that this is its own beast. The storyline, while much shorter than the main Far Cry 3 campaign, is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Review of Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Pure 1980's action flick cheese mixed with a high octane twist on the base of Far Cry 3's open world fundamentals? Yeah it's no wonder Blood Dragon spawned a community of its own. Blood Dragon started a trend with the Ubisoft Far Cry titles, where we'd see a spin off game released in between the mainline titles every other year. Or at least, that's how it was for a while. From Blood Dragon prior to FC4, Primal prior to FC5, to New Dawn prior to FC6. As someone…

If you're a fan of 80s action movies, neon aesthetics, and synth-wave, you are going to absolutely love this. It takes everything that makes Far Cry fun and just cranks the insanity up to eleven. The humor is spot on, the visual style is iconic, and the whole 'VHS-era future' vibe is just perfect. It’s short, punchy, and doesn't take itself seriously at all, which is honestly exactly what I needed. It’s definitely a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun game with a badass cyborg hero and strong 80s cyberpunk vibes. The soundtrack absolutely slaps, and the dumb humor somehow makes everything even better.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is the epitome of what a DLC should be, delivering a tightly focused, neon-drenched campaign that proves to be far more than a lazy reskin of the base game. The gameplay turns you into a total killing machine with fun dragon mechanics and over-the-top weapons, offering a pure power fantasy that even removes fall damage for maximum freedom. While the story is a self-aware cliché, it captures the perfect 80s action satire through corny characters and jokes that…

I changed the name of "fc3_blooddragon.exe" to "fc3bdupdatersteam.exe" just so I can launch the game for 5 minutes, staring at a broken black screen, and I can write this review.
