unlabelledView post →By the way Arnold Schwarzenegger’s assessment of Mr. Freeze’s one weakness — love — was correct. Indeed, Arnold’s weakness in ALL his movies made during that period was love. (End of Days, Collateral Damage, etc.) Because he is a great film artist whose movies tell a cohesive story across decades.
unlabelledView post →There’s a late ‘90s/early ‘00s atmosphere style that I call 'Buffy opening credits.' Every big budget religous horror movie had it--Stigmata, Bless the Child, End of Days, The Order, Lost Souls, Mother of Tears-and they aaaaaaaallllllll sucked lol. I am a sucker for that style though.
unlabelledView post →Now watching: ‘End of Days’, dir. Peter Hyams, 1999. Always interesting to revisit films that were panned and/or which flopped on their original release, without hype or anti-hype getting in the way. 🎬🎥

unlabelledView post →Superficial observation but I never saw Tim Robbins’ film CRADLE WILL ROCK because of the title; this was back in the late 90s when definite articles were not used in film titles which made every movie seem like Cookie Monster was a studio exec (END OF DAYS, etc). Should’ve been THE CRADLE WILL ROCK
unlabelledView post →I watched the Schwarzenegger film End of Days (1999) on VHS last night. The tape was released 2000, and it opens with a Coming Soon To Theatres teaser for Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses, when it was intended as a 2001 Universal movie. The teaser is a 50 second scene not in the movie that exists.
unlabelledView post →END OF DAYS: Someone put their Arnold Schwarzenegger actioner in my grimdark Y2K Satanic horror movie! And I liked it! Arnold fights Miriam Margolyes, Gabriel Byrne pisses gasoline, and Peter Hyams shoots every scene like he’s Caravaggio. The opening credits are eerily similar to SPAWN’s. A delight.
unlabelledView post →I actually have a great affection for post-TRUE LIES Arnold, the stuff where his star was fading and he was just, like, Trying Stuff. END OF DAYS is the pinnacle of the Trying Stuff phase. “What if we did a goth horror movie but made it Arnold?” I dunno! Better spend $100 million and find out!!
unlabelledView post →This week’s watches. Greenland 2 is your typical disaster film with the same old tropes, serendipitous timing, & corny coincidences. A couple scenes looked cool but for the most part a boring one. Rewatch of End of Days was the most fun this week. #LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday #FilmSky

unlabelledView post →6. END OF DAYS (yes, that one): "I like making movies and I was sort of looking at the idea of making a movie in a very short time frame, and there would have been something quite entertaining about doing a Schwarzenegger picture."
unlabelledView post →Tonight, after much deliberation, I am watching ‘End of Days’ (1999), a late period Arnie movie battling against the evil of Gabriel Byrne

unlabelledView post →This reminds me of the movie "End of Days' from 1999. A dark thriller in which the devil is looking for a bride..... in our world, he's found her in American democracy and it won't end well.....
unlabelledView post →Witness explosively demonic pee, Arnold Schwarzenegger lose a fight to a 50 year-old woman, and the goofiest apocalypse ever committed to film as we talk 1999’s END OF DAYS this Friday on Kill By Kill!! #Horrorsky

unlabelledView post →I’m reminded of that Arnold movie End of Days (1999) where as set dressing for the future there’s a rusted out VW Beetle (the new one, not the 60s icon) sitting on the curb to tell viewers it’s the future
unlabelledView post →John Debney presaged the Bloodborne score with his work on End of Days, which is a very Bloodborne film if you think about it
unlabelledView post →Wishing a happy birthday to film icon Arnold Schwarzenegger! Here's some art inspired by Terminator 2, End of Days, Conan the Barbarian, and The Running Man art to celebrate!
unlabelledView post →I too got Red Alert 2 for Christmas, along with a huge jar of whole dill pickles and the CD soundtrack to the movie End of Days. I played through both campaigns in one sitting, and ate all the pickles, with the CD on repeat. Ah, memories.

unlabelledView post →11. End of Days (1999) My love for this film is indefensible. It's not good, but in the same way a Cinnabon drowned in jizz sauce isn't good for you. I find this sticky heartclogger of a movie goes down so easy. Stealing a bunch of plot points and other bits for my RPG
unlabelledView post →Very few people like the movie End of Days but I always appreciated that it introduces Arnold Schwarzenegger's character as a complete slob. He lives in squalor, surrounded by food garbage and bottles like he's an unhealthy pig of a man, and he's Mr. Universe Arnold Schwarzenegger.
unlabelledView post →1999’s END OF DAYS is what I like to call the forgotten Arnold horror movie. Originally intended for director Sam Raimi, then offered to Guillermo Del Toro, and originally intended to star Tom Cruise. It’s not Arnold‘s glory days, but it sure is a fun one. #filmsky #movies
unlabelledView post →Missed that the Schwarzenegger flick End of Days - one of the few I've never seen - has been downgraded to a 15 rating.

unlabelledView post →Watched The Wrecking Crew with Jason Momoa & Dave Bautista last night and I must give this movie credit for having Momoa follow the same path of Schwarzenegger in End of Days. You cast a man known for being a massive, muscular beast and then try to tell me he's a slob. I love that.

unlabelledView post →Movie #47 End of Days (1999) Satan seeks a bride to usher in the end of the world. Another one I skipped for a long time. It was ok. Gabriel Byrne chews the scenery with the best of them. Needed some trimming as it runs too long. But it's enjoyable late 90s fluff with a decent budget for the time.
unlabelledView post →Fifth place goes to Gwendolyn Christie in The Sandman (2022), then Gabriel Byrne in End of Days (1999) - absolute dogshit film, great Devil - in seventh.
unlabelledView post →Wow 🤯 The Taco King took this evil image straight out of the devil movie “End of Days.”
unlabelledView post →The 1st to attempt to introduce the fucking Heritage Foundation in his 2nd run; I VOTED AGAINST him, in the 80's FASCIST NAZI DICKS WERE NOT ACCEPTED IN MAINSTREAM AMERICA; NOW WE HAVE A FASCIST NAZI GOVERNMENT. THIS IS A COMBO OF ALL THE END OF DAYS MOVIES from the 90s COMBINED INTO 1 HORROR FILM.

Head for my $250K debut feature END OF DAYS, INC. & we were bowled over to have her & so many other hugely talented crew members agree to do our little film!
unlabelledView post →I saw my first R-rated movie in theaters at 17, buying a ticket to something else and 'sneaking in' to... Arnold Schwarzenegger's End of Days. The fact that it was my first R-rated movie in theaters is pretty much the only thing about it worth remembering. 😄
unlabelledView post →We went to see the film End of Days with a couple we knew through my husbands work. The woman never stopped talking all through the film, then at the end of the film she shouted out that she'd just remembered that she had read about it and Schwarzenegger was going to die - just before he died.
unlabelledView post →For a chaser, their example of a well-drawn post-Biblical Apocalypse world was "End of Days" (the Schwarzenegger movie), which in addition to being a movie and not a prose story is *also* not a movie that takes place after a Biblical Apocalypse...

unlabelledView post →i'm really stoned and watching End of Days and like 40% of this movie has metal music set really low in the mix like barely audible, but then there's other score on top of it and i just want to know what the fuck was going on
unlabelledView post →End of Days. Gabriel Byrne. Arnold Schwarzenegger. 1999. I got so pissed twice: first at the movie, then at my friend who drove us because he refused to walk out of it and go home.
unlabelledView post →Peter Hyams is also really great for this, though I've yet to see a good transfer of THE RELIC where that film doesn't look like murky shit. But OUTLAND and END OF DAYS look just great, and they're pretty dark movies.
unlabelledView post →his hammy priest in End of Days is top notch for me and he elevates the whole film
unlabelledView post →Wait so when you guys watch movies the cast isn't all Muppets? I don't think I understand the engagement prompt at all. No movie stars "human beings" anymore they were all phased out after an incident in the 1999 spectacular End of Days.
unlabelledView post →For a moment there, I thought you were describing End of Days (1999 film). Though Rawhead Rex came out in the 80s and is irish folklore and doesn't star Ahnold "Get To The Choppah!" Governator.
