unlabelledView post →I’m playing my second game of Quest for El Dorado, and I’m in love. It’s so clearly a deck builder designed by someone with the same issues with the genre that I have.
unlabelledView post →The Dog Island. This 2007 RPG/adventure was developed in Japan and all dogs in the game were given Italian names. When they published it in the West, Ubisoft de-italianized some of the names (like Edoardo becoming El Dorado). So, this Japanese game was... uh too Italian for the West. Woof.

unlabelledView post →The video game series “El Dorado Gate” is being translated: seven discs (originally there were going to be more) that were released every two months for Dreamcast before the console lost popularity and this idea was abandoned.
unlabelledView post →We also got in a game of Quest for El Dorado. I didn't do well but enjoyed the game as a whole. #boardgamesky #boardgames
unlabelledView post →Amazingly The Quest for El Dorado - not a game I've ever played - is now the top ranked Reiner Knizia game on BGG
unlabelledView post →Some after school El Dorado with my son and his grandmother. This game is such an easy teach to all ages but retains a lot of fun deck building depth. #boardgames

And just like he seemed like a lost cause before Smash Ultimate, so was his chase for El Dorado in Diddy Kong Pilot, a game that never came to be, but still gave him a unique look! #DonkeyKong #KingKRool #Nintendo

unlabelledView post →This weekend at #boardgames night we played the brilliant deckbuilding race game The Quest for El Dorado with the Hexes and Heroes expansion. Then we played it straight away again!
unlabelledView post →After playing our third game of Pandemic Legacy Season 1, we played Orbit. Felt a little too chaotic for me. If I were to play another Knizia racing game, I’d choose The Quest for El Dorado. Otherwise, I still find Flamme Rouge more fun. #boardgamesky
unlabelledView post →WARNING: GAME DESIGN NERDERY AHEAD! 1) Recently I saw someone extolling the common board game mechanism of deckbuilding. I enjoy deckbuilders – Clank! Catacombs and Quest for El Dorado are two of my favorites, and I’m always down for Dominion, Lost Ruins of Arnak, and similar games.

unlabelledView post →The Quest for El Dorado I really like the mixture of deck building and the more old-school "move a guy to the finish line" type gameplay. Makes it one of the more accessible deck builders too, with various map configs to adjust the difficulty.
unlabelledView post →You know, in the future? I think I'd like to do either a) a two-player horror/mystery game (because, hey, the Mulder/Scully dynamic is always fun) or b) a two-player comedy game where the PCs are partners in crime. See, famously, Road to El Dorado.
unlabelledView post →Quest for El Dorado is such a great game, it makes me sad that the English distribution is so confusing. I can barely keep up with its status in the US, I'm not sure how it is in the UK.
unlabelledView post →On Sunday, I played Tavern of Tiefenthal with all modules from the base game and expansion module A. So fun, even with 4 Players. Played The Quest for El Dorado. The game is still fun even though it's a 2P game. Finally got my copy of Pergola too that day 😂 #boardgames
unlabelledView post →Indivisible El Dorado @indiv-eldorado.bsky.social absolutely crushing it with their overpass bannering game!
unlabelledView post →The Quest for El Dorado - It’s been years, but today’s play reminded me how enjoyable it is. For a very short game, it’s quite a bit fun trying to maneuvering around the terrain with the right cards assembled through deck building. Going forward this will be a 2p game for us. #BoardGames
unlabelledView post →I'm beyond happy to share that El Dorado is now available to play in @counter-strike.net ! This has been an on and off passion project for the last 3 years so to finally see this in the game is a great feeling! unlabelledView post →When I first discovered board gaming I would buy all expansions at once, but now I only buy the base game and it's got to be a real keeper before I even look at the expansions. Our favorite family game is Quest for El Dorado and I'll never buy the expansions because the base is perfect.
unlabelledView post →Yay! #Jeopardy had a board game category! Oh... four of the answers were about Candyland, Risk, Monopoly, Connect 4. 🙄 The only decent game in the bunch: The Quest for El Dorado. #BoardGames
unlabelledView post →Im making a movie based off the PS1 adaptation of "Road To El Dorado". Yes it will be Queer coded No it will not be the same coding as the movie the game is based off of. No further questions.
unlabelledView post →But I'm specifically thinking of stuff like Shining Force 3, which was a three-part release where stuff you do in the first game ripples through to the third. Or El Dorado Gate, Capcom's gorgeous seven part rpg with Yoshitaka Amano art

unlabelledView post →5) The Quest for El Dorado. The only deckbuilding racing game in my collection. The cards you play allow you to move along a track of varying terrain. It's a good intro to deckbuilders if Dominion is too sterile. Plays quickly, easy to teach, very smooth, and modular boards keep things fresh.

unlabelledView post →Another PS1 game I really miss is Road to El Dorado. Not Capcom but it played a lot like Dino Crisis and the old Resident Evils. I think it ran on the same engine as In Cold Blood, which was also a sick game, but I've no idea who made that

unlabelledView post →Introduced two favs to some friends who'd never played them - Spirit Island and The Quest for El Dorado. Normally I wouldn't play SI with more than 2 because it can get long, but they are board game experts and we handily won the two base games we played. Need to add Adversary and Event cards next.
unlabelledView post →I played Quest for El Dorado at a party recently. I think it’s a very easy game to learn and teach. But people would walk by the table and comment how we were “smart group”. To someone with no exposure to the hobby it looks very complex.

unlabelledView post →#ElDorado: a deck building game with a board, which makes it less abstract. Cards are varied, simple by themselves, but combined effects make for good complexity. Different strategies are viable. I really love this game! Just wish the path could be longer. The way it is, even on the longest imaginable route, the race will remain close. This is good playing with kids, but against adults, a longer game would be nice. https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/217372/the-quest-for-el-dorado

unlabelledView post →Tonight’s stream was the usual Flash Cart Friday fun, but I gotta say: I’m totally over this damn PSIO and it being a general pain in the ass to deal with. EVERY game (save that Road to El Dorado game I can never get to work) was one that I used the PSIO software on to merge files.
