This game VIBRATES with colorful tones, which greatly strengthens the changes in tone that the game applies as you progress. The animations are also great, revealing a lot of the characters' personalities in the middle of the gameplay. The game won my heart when one of the enemies died in Yamcha's pose. And the music too! It's really good,…

While I am barely scratching the surface of the game I wanted to write a review to recommend this game to others. So far it is a charming rpg with immediately love-able characters and battle mechanics. The world is beautifully crafted and vibrant. My favorite detail is seeing the characters react during battle. I can see this being one of my favorite RpgMaker games on steam.

The story is dark and intriguing and it kind of reminded me of OMORI in the way it delivers its horror. It definitely left me excited to find out where the story is heading. The turn based combat is what you would expect from an RPG but where Ekorella really shines is in the art direction. I loved the animations for the moves and how the character's expressions changed in the portraits during battle. It…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like rpgs you sure won't regret playing this one, it might not be the full game yet but for what it is , I cannot stress enough how well made and interestingly written it turned out. The game's main strenght is no doubt it's art, every enemy, character, and enviroment has tons of original, well drawn art associated to it. The game is made by a very small studio as well which is very impressive. Absolutely recomended

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: - Very well written - Animations are amazing - Hilarious - Nice OST - Very good value Cons: - Short I'm surprised by how good the story is. Cuteness and darkness walk side-by-side in this 100% original plot with a deep worldbuilding. If you are into classic RPGs and don't mind them being a bit short then you have to give this game a try. I'm hoping for Vol 2 to come out ASAP.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty decent first shot at a standard JRPG, Ekorella is carried by a really well-defined art style, good music and decent theming. The game is a bit on the short side (taking around twoish hours to complete the bulk of Vol 1) and I have a few other mild critiques I'll bring up below, but overall there's a lot of potential here and I think for the price it's worthwhile to support the devs. Small Critiques/issues The game occasionally crashes here and there. I crashed approximately three…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A unique JRPG with a fantastic presentation. It's only a demo for now, but already very much worth playing https://youtu.be/KsglqwTKfgA At its core, this is a SNES or Genesis styled top down RPG, but instead of Dragons and Wizards, its setting is a bit more unique with a world about sapient plants, and instead of continent spanning journeys, this story is a bit more intimate. The game's most prominent feature are the striking visuals, with the detailed pixelart and complex animations, but it…
