Political bs to match the current elections. If I wanted to play U.S. politics I'd watch MSNBC or play a political game. This had loads of potential and I was enjoying it but the dev had to be a jackass and ruin my gaming time with the same crap that's on every liberal media station every minute of the day. Requesting refund. Sadly disappointed as I enjoyed the 1st game and would've continued to support this dev in future games. edit for examples - Ok example, The blond queen loves the…

The Ice Crone is Hillary Clinton, Deiter is Donald Trump. Seriously, do the introduction quests and when Deiter talks about building a wall around the whole kingdom and keeping criminals and rapist southerners (Mexicans) and Saracens (Muslims) out, and then meet the corrupt Ice Crone and her corruption and likelihood of war with the "Muscovites" (Russia) and support for the Northern Treaty (TPP Deal) as well as her cheating husband and the "Saracen Beauty" they even named Huma after her aide…

As I'm from the U.K and couldn't care less about the politics the rest of the users are talking about, I just enjoy the game for what it is, it's not broken, it plays well. The graphics are lovely and there's so much you can do. All the comments aren't because of the game, it's because of the politics.

I've been a fan of the Eisenwald series since the original Discord Times way back in 2004. Most of my friends were obsessing over Oblivion back then, but I've gotten my hands on a demo copy of Discord Times and have imediately fallen in love with it. And now comes the third game in the series. Blood of November is a follow up on Legend of Eisenwald with one big difference. Instead of a campaign, it has a sandbox mode - and only that, not counting a short tutorial. So how does it hold up?…

As other reviewers stated this game is just full of hidden political messages, which the timing obviously is for a reason, if it wasn't full of these messages it might actually be a fun game, but its impossible to follow the story without reading them and overall they are completely intolerable. The gameplay is less fun then alternative turn based or squad based games, I was looking forward to another game that would be good, instead I got this and I requested a refund, hopefully that goes…

It's basically a standalone DLC to Legends of Eisenwald, one big sandbox map with 3 endings. You can side with one of two main factions or you can ''do the thing'' which is a secret ending. Main factions endings are on timer, but there is more then plenty of time to roam around, explore and max out everything. The secret ending have no timer and have even more freedom. All factions including two main are interesting and hilarious to some extend, quests are interesting, items are plentiful and…

Supporting good developer making a good game and gave my kickstarter key to a friend. Happened to be his birthday, I had no idea. Got my name in the credits with the $8 backing and fulfilled a childhood dream: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=791609955 The gameplay is solid, more of the same formula that makes this game great. Story is deep, with native support for multiple monitors and the game is running smooth at 5040x1050, all settings maxed.

As a point of disclosure: I did not pay for this game, I received it as a gift and was asked to provide a review when I had a chance. I wanted to like this game more than I actually do. At first, I thought the reviews that mention the US election must be off base, but it really is the basic premise of the game, albeit in an attempt at a humour. The game has you supporting a caricature of one of the candidates for the US election and going to war on their behalf along with some subquests that…

Unlike origina Legends of Eisenwald which included a campaign across several maps, here you have only one (large) map and the gameplay near the end is really tedious. You need to control the most castles on November 8th and there is no way to skip to this date if you control everything already, so you just wait on max game speed and hunt respawning brigands. On the other hand, the enemy forces respawn too, so you'll have a very difficult fight until you level up your troops a bit and capture…

Probably one of the most frustrating DLC type games I ever played. First part was fun going around and capturing castles, building up your army and doing quests. But then you get to play ring around the map, chasing down bad guys who just appear out of thin air and take your castles. Why did they mess with the original game concept where it was more of a story and less of a fight fest. The last 5 hours of game play on this was the developers prolonging the game with 100's of fights over and…

Had several technical issues where the only fix seemed to be restarting the game or restarting my computer. The combat annoyed me enough I started doing auto battles and I didn't seem to get too far in with the amount of time spent. I still don't understand some of the mechanics that should have been explained in the tutorial. This whole game seems to be aimed at the elections and as such was way too rushed for development. I don't think I'll try this game again.

The Legend of Eisenwald is one of my favorite games. This game however, does a disservice to the spirit of Eisenwald. This stand alone DLC is just a single map scenario, where the devs use the toolset to crack a political joke about the 2016 election. This may have been relevant during the election season, but a year later I've had my fill of Trump and Clinton. My fear is that folks will buy this as a cheaper alternative to Legend of Eisenwald, which would be a huge mistake. The great lore and…

Wonderful game, a great addition to Legends of Eisenwald. Really big map and a lot of things to do. Taking over enemy castles initially was hard but it was because I tried to capture them all. I changed my strategy and started taking a few and protecting them and it worked much better. Once I captured all, enemies stopped respawning, and I needed to defend my lands only against a few raubritters. Side quests are good, many have a nice touch of humor. I really liked Underwater Bees, I think…

Eisenwald: Blood of November is sort of a stand alone expansion to the original Legends of Eisenwald, it's a pseudo turn based strategy game much in the same vein as Heroes of Might and Magic only with much more focus on character development (eg RPG elements). One of the most defining aspects of the game is it's "oldschool" difficulty, even on the easiest difficulty I found myself confronting unbeatable enemies frequently. In addition to focusing more on the RPG side of the game (vs Heroes…

I love legends of Eisenwald and if you haven't played it then i recommend you give it ago. Blood of November the game story is entertaining enough if you like a bit of political satire. Choose who to fight for Trump, Clinton or Putin. Unfortunately the game towards the second half turns into a wack a mole chase never ending spawning enemies around the map that scale up in power making some fights very difficult. This monotony carries on till you reach a certain game date.

If you want a more detailed overview then read what I wrote for Legends of Eisenwald - this is a stand-alone expansion pack for that. I am only going to touch the subject that some people have been crying about. It's amazing how thin-skinned some people are: the game has elements of SATIRE in relation to certain political events - SATIRE has been a thing in relation to politics since the ancient times. The game is not taking sides in its use of SATIRE. Seriously, if you are so thin-skinned…

I didn't play long enough to have any deep, cutting remarks here. I found the graphics to look at least 10 years older than they actually are, with an unappealing art style/aesthetic. Movement across the map is very slow and for no apparent reason. Combat is similar to Heroes of Might & Magic or King's Bounty, though I would check out those franchises before considering this one, as I felt they were better made. It's good but probably the least favourite of the Eisenwald games. The story is a medieval take on the American presidential elections... which I do not follow by choice. I kinda got the point here and there cause you gotta live in a tower not to hear of certain things but I preferred the legends and the magic feel of the main campaign to this. I really enjoy the idea of mixing RPG and turned based strategy and the game is not as easy as I thought. There is a lot of mico-management in the game. Eisenwald: Blood of November is a semi-standalone "expansion" to Legends of Eisenwald. It's a big world map adventure game with combat resolved in turn based hex map combat, not completely unlike the old Heroes of Might and Magic series. While the concept is golden, and should be a no brainer recipe for success, there's problems here. The developers abandoned the rich storytelling that made Legends of Eisenwald a great success, and exchanged it for a "sandbox" experience. Developers must…

Just play the original Legends of Eisenwald and the workshop scenarios if you want more. I'll probably finish it, but that's because I enjoy the base game mechanics and have literally nothing else to play right now.
