There was so much fast and flashy action, and the reveal of my favorite Super Saiyan form still went so crazy 😭 I loved seeing this story arc again!
unlabelledView post →I watched Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods! The movie was 1h 45m long. This was a cool movie! The plot would go on to be the first story arc of Super, and it was cool to see it in movie form! The action was fast and flashy as well, and the animation looked awesome! It was fun to revisit this story arc!

But when it starts leaving out important plot details, can it still stand on its own? youtu.be/LLBfVLFigzY
unlabelledView post →Great movie! Definitely in my top 5 for Dragon Ball movies.
unlabelledView post →They literally show canned film reel upon canned film reel of episodes of Dragon Ball GT & the original Pretty Cure up front. Now, to be fair, Pretty Cure did actually get an HD remaster & Blu-Ray in Japan back in 2023... but you can't say that for GT! Even Crunchyroll just re-releases the DVDs!

unlabelledView post →The big problem is that a lot of "fans" prefer the look of the aged film. There's no consensus on how Sailor Moon should look like with Dragon Ball. To me, the original intention is how it should look, but that's not the consensus.

To mark the DBZ anime’s 20th anniversary, a revamped, filler-light version named Dragon Ball Kai (Z Kai overseas) begins airing on Fuji TV in April.

unlabelledView post →The passing of Tatsuya Nagamine is tragic. If you ever watched One Piece Film: Z, the later parts of Dragon Ball Super's Tournament of Power arc, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, or One Piece's Wano arc and noticed a certain *energy* about them, its because he was at the helm of all that stuff. RIP.

unlabelledView post →I've now watched both of the unlicenced live action Dragon Ball films from the 90s. The Taiwanese one is more like a real film and that Roshi was great, but the Korean one is more accurate to source material in an interesting way, and more charming!

unlabelledView post →Watched the infamous Dragon Ball: The Magic Begins last night. I didn't know there was some sort of Ultimate Edition re-release that added a bunch of hilariously bad CG work over a much more normal charming low budget effects job but it made me laugh a lot so it's fine. Really weird film.
