Drag Me to Hell
After denying a woman the extension she needs to keep her home, loan officer Christine Brown sees her once-promising life take a startling turn for the worse. Christine is convinced she's been cursed by a Gypsy, but her boyfriend is skeptical. Her only hope seems to lie in a psychic who claims he can help her lift the curse and keep her soul from being dragged straight to hell. From TMDB

unlabelledView post →Send Help is a hoot and a half. Equal parts horror, adventure, and sly social satire, boosted by great pacing and two fantastic leads. makes for a perfect double feature with the director's earlier film Drag Me to Hell.
unlabelledView post →They’re not in the office anymore. And no help is coming. Director Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead, Drag Me to Hell) is back early next year with the darkly comedic psychological thriller SEND HELP, and 20th Century Studios has unleashed the official trailer today.

unlabelledView post →After seeing The Mummy I need to see Evil Dead Rise! The film had a very Evil Dead/ Drag Me to Hell Sam Raimi vibe which I loved. I love gore and gross things though so I was laughing a lot! Everyone was horrified, but one guy in the back was laughing hysterically like me. A kindred spirit! 😆😂

unlabelledView post →Sam Raimi’s DRAG ME TO HELL still rips! It’s one of those films I cite in the “I can’t believe it’s PG-13” category, since it’s as intense, disturbing & disgusting as any Rated-R movie. If you’ve never seen it, rectify that immediately this spooky season.

unlabelledView post →Drag Me to Hell might still be my favorite horror film of the century. It’s crazy how Sam Raimi is one of our most gifted filmmakers (one reviewer of Evil Dead II compared him to Welles) and he’s perfectly content to make one non-IP movie every 10 or so years

unlabelledView post →Picking a random film from my collection to show off for no real reason! Day #170 "Drag Me to Hell" (Sam Raimi/2009) Awesome old school feeling Raimi flick about a bank worker who gets a curse put on her by an old woman. A pure slice of Raimi's creativity. Check this one out, it's worth your time!
unlabelledView post →I don't know why Drag Me to Hell is a stealth Evil Dead movie and not proclaimed as such from the get out. The trailers all made it seem like a serious horror film... but it's totally not. It's 100% an Evil Dead film by Sam Raimi
unlabelledView post →#NW Drag Me to Hell. I love this movie. It was the first scary movie that really clicked with me. The whole reason I decided to give other horror movies a chance. 🖤
unlabelledView post →Just very happy to have gotten to see a new Sam Raimi movie in a theater and it was so good and so Sam Raimi and that hasn’t happened since Drag Me To Hell 17 years ago
unlabelledView post →Send Help is the most Sam Raimi movie Sam Raimi has made since Drag Me to Hell (2009). In fact it feels like he made this in the 2000s. Such a fun throwback, bonkers horror comedy. Mean spirited, gory, gross out looney tunes that twists and plays with audience sympathies. Rachel McAdams and Dylan

unlabelledView post →THIS right here My fave film AND film experience of 2009 was Drag Me to Hell, and Sam Raimi - when he was let out of his cage and ran rambunctiously rampant - was without equal. A PG-13 movie that WENT WAY HARDER than its R-rated brethren. Send Help AND Rachel McAdams? Deliriously entertaining.

unlabelledView post →Caught Send Help today. It’s really fun to see Sam Raimi do his first non-franchise film in 17 (!!!) years. Like all his movies it was scary and gross and really fucking funny. Now I’m going to watch Drag Me To Hell later.
unlabelledView post →I wish SEND HELP was more in line with DRAG ME TO HELL; that film punishes a lot more than this one does, and I think certain characters get off a bit too easy. Raimi doesn’t moralize as much in SEND HELP and I wish he did. He certainly does in DMTH, and it gives that film a lot of dark energy.
unlabelledView post →Drag Me To Hell: Lohman is a delight in Raimi's heady film, a campy and gory delight. There are fascinating asides about the bank crash and the lead is essentially the antagonist, which gives a delicious layer to the superbly mean in the final scene. Pretty great.

unlabelledView post →Drag Me to Hell was one of the first horror movies I loved. I’m a giant terrified chicken and it both used common horror tropes and flipped them on their head. I loved the acting and it’s got one hell of an ending. Sam Raimi can split me in half.
unlabelledView post →284. Drag Me to Hell 🎥 | 1️⃣ outside of the entire thing hinging on some extremely racist stereotypes it’s a pretty mid PG-13 horror movie with some of that raimi cheese, which is most of what carries it. i kinda dig the message of it ultimately 6 / 10
unlabelledView post →I recall thinking that this wasn’t as mean as Drag Me To Hell but it’s a pretty mean movie that’s got a very amiable attitude. It’s a good mix, I think it sneaks up how dark it’s willing to go.
unlabelledView post →Also watched They Will Kill You this weekend. Think The Raid by way of Drag Me To Hell and Kill Bill. The movie was fun but the premise wore thin quickly. I can't believe I'm saying this, but it got boring watching Zazie Beetz kill the same people over and over again.

unlabelledView post →#OTD in 2009, Drag Me to Hell was released in theaters. Sam and Ted Raimi wrote the screenplay for the film back in the 1990s under the title of The Curse. The idea was to make the film after they completed Army of Darkness, but other projects drew their interest away.
unlabelledView post →I’m sick of talking about how good Skinamarink is and how wrong its detractors are so I’ll say Halloween III: Season of the Witch is the best Halloween film after the first one, and also I believe a lot of people that hate Drag Me to Hell don’t realise it’s supposed to be funny
