neutral · AI labelView post →A shame "American Akira" is no longer in the site, it would've been funny showing it due to the cancellation of the WB movie. So instead I chose Tribly Dogtooth vs The Snapperchap! www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/...
neutral · AI labelView post →i saw DOGTOOTH at the maryland film festival and will never forget the collective sound the audience made at the climax of the movie. i was a yorghead for life after that
positive · AI labelView post →Dogtooth, 2009 Yorgos Lanthimos "The new words of the day are: 'Sea', 'Highway', 'Road trip' and 'Shotgun'." #filmsky #moviesky

neutral · AI labelView post →Post a movie that doesn’t get enough love but should! Dogtooth (2009)
positive · AI labelView post →POOR THINGS basically begins where DOGTOOTH ended, with a warped experiment in parenthood kicking open her cage. No wonder it might be the best movie Lanthimos has made since. My full review at Digital Trends: www.digitaltrends.com/movies/poor-...
neutral · AI labelView post →Don't let me down, Yorgos! Poor Things and The Favourite are two of my favorite movies. The Lobster and Dogtooth are great. Kinds of Kindness... was a movie (sort of).
positive · AI labelView post →fair but Dogtooth was a good movie I’m talking Dogooth Alps Lanthimos
positive · AI labelView post →Celebrated Greek auteur Yorgos Lanthimos sent shockwaves through the international film scene with his 2007 thriller DOGTOOTH, an eerie mystery of sex, suppression and family secrets. See it starting Fri, June 20 in a new 4K restoration from @kinolorber.com
neutral · AI labelView post →I'm watching Dogtooth and I don't think I'll ever recover. Bonkers!
positive · AI labelView post →Not only did Tyler, The Creator name a song DOGTOOTH after the movie, the chorus is a reference to one of the freaky subplots. T knows ball, put him in a movie Yorgos!
neutral · AI labelView post →Read Ebert’s review of Dogtooth way back. He pointed out something similar, and it’s made it impossible for me to muster much interest in any Lanthimos movie.

neutral · AI labelView post →And now I can say @schlocklustervideo.bsky.social, I'm interested in what you said about Dogtooth because the Plato's Cave allegory is so apt for this film! Have to think about that some more #FrightClub #Bugonia
neutral · AI labelView post →With my third watch of Dogtooth (2012) tonight, I think I've finally determined that I like that movie
positive · AI labelView post →It’s fine to critique the way women are treated in his work but I’m beyond sick of this pervasive idea that bad things happen in a movie = filmmaker supports bad things. Dogtooth is a film about language and control. It’s an extremely shallow way to engage with art that is meant to be challenging

neutral · AI labelView post →“DOGTOOTH is like a car crash. You cannot look away.” - @ebertvoices.bsky.social The breakout second film from director Yorgos Lanthimos (POOR THINGS, THE FAVOURITE) returns to the big screen in stunning new 4K from @kinolorber.com Opens Friday!
neutral · AI labelView post →I recommend you to watch one of the director's earlier movies, Dogtooth, that was the best movie he has made and I'm pretty sure anyone enjoying Lobster will like that one too.
neutral · AI labelView post →The movie itself is good, but Tinder date wanted to watch "Dogtooth". She had seen it before, she knew what it was about.
neutral · AI labelView post →Oh, shit, Dogtooth! I haven't thought of that movie in years, but yes! Absolutely! #folkhorrorfriday
positive · AI labelView post →This will (I very confidently predict) be the first time that film also wins the Skandies, my annual cinephile survey. SCHINDLER’S LIST predates us by two years. We gave Best Pic to THE SWEET HEREAFTER in 1997 and to DOGTOOTH in 2010 (even though SOCIAL NETWORK won Director, Screenplay and Actor).
neutral · AI labelView post →#Filmsky #MovieChallenge 5: First watch of Dogtooth. Week 3 ( Five), 5 members of the family. A very surreal, disturbing film that stays with you long after it’s finished. Unfortunately, another film that is cut on streaming services. Physical media remains king. 8/10
positive · AI labelView post →13. Poor Things / Dir. Yorgos Lanthimos Was surprised how fun this movie turned out to be. It requires Emma Stone to give an impossible performance and she's able to nail it. The whole cast is good, tbh. Script made me laugh a bunch, some bits really reminded me of Dogtooth, tho. 4 stars
neutral · AI labelView post →Don't sleep on his non English films. Dogtooth is one of my favorites ( Be prepared for even stranger dialog), I also really enjoyed Alps.
positive · AI labelView post →#JuneMovieChallenge #Moviesky #Filmsky 8. A Greek film Dogtooth (2009) dir. Yorgos Lanthimos
neutral · AI labelView post →watched “Dogtooth” (2009), which was a boring slog for the first 40 minutes and then really compelling pretty consistently for the rest of the film. an impressive movie for such a tight scope and it also had exquisite production design.
positive · AI labelView post →Dream Scenario is fun and weird, I blind bought it so thankfully I enjoyed it. Also liked Poor Things, haven’t seen the other Yorgos films besides The Lobster and recently Dogtooth. Curious about them though! And I too enjoy collecting movies on disc. Though I’ve been at it for a while.
positive · AI labelView post →I’m glad he kept the original ending, which was one of the things that made Save The Green Planet! so fucking funny. That movie induced tonal whiplash so many times and for it to end on that note was amazing. I haven’t seen any Yorgos movies since Dogtooth; I should probably go see this one.
neutral · AI labelView post →Saw "Dogtooth" at the Tomorrow Theater. It was even more disturbing on a big screen. Enjoyed it. I always like the clusters of youngs outside that theater afterward, talking about the movie.
positive · AI labelView post →On September 23, 2009, Dogtooth was screened at the Athens Film Festival. Here’s some fan art!

neutral · AI labelView post →I said earlier they're acting like they're in an avant garde play, but I think they're from a Yorgos Lanthimos movie. Dogtooth/The Lobster level of dumb ladies. #Splatterday
neutral · AI labelView post →I want to tell stories that’ll make people feel the way the movie Dogtooth makes people feel.

neutral · AI labelView post →Oh you know I never put this together but I guess that's why there's so much incest in Dogtooth (the movie)
neutral · AI labelView post →It's hard to talk about ROSEBUSH PRUNING (2026) without talking about DOGTOOTH (2009), but the comparison doesn't really do the newer film many favors letterboxd.com/jbushnell/fi...

neutral · AI labelView post →Tonight's film. 'Dogtooth'
neutral · AI labelView post →Dogtooth is my favorite Yorgos movie 👍
positive · AI labelView post →1. Kinds of Kindness (film): had the thought to start the new year with absolute diarrhea so it could only get better from there. Not Dogtooth level bad, but still another Lanthimos stinker for me. Mostly he feels bored & exhausted of tricks until the last story brings in some new dubious crap. 3/10
negative · AI labelView post →#MovieNight 2009's Dogtooth Yorgos Lanthimos really has mood and tone all his own. We can laugh at the horrific, gasp at the funny.
positive · AI labelView post →Dogtooth is my favorite of his (third favorite movie ever!) but I actually think it’s better appreciated when you’ve seen Lobster and Sacred Deer first
positive · AI labelView post →Perfect Blue, that's gone from an anime film for anime people to "I don't watch anime but have you ever heard of Perfect Blue?" on some Dance With The Devil shit Raw is up there, Dogtooth since Yorgos made English speaking films
neutral · AI labelView post →Wasn't aware of that, thank you!! I was referencing the movie Dogtooth about a dangerously isolated family!
neutral · AI labelView post →i'm just saying, i'm no horror movie fan, and i wouldn't even qualify Dogtooth in the genre at all. Poor Things i would not try to push on anyone lol i'm intrigued about The Favourite because it just seems to be about lesbian royalty based on my (extremely limited) knowledge of the plot
