unlabelledView post →you might know them for Infinos Gaiden or Andro Dunos 2 (or even Disc Creatures—Picorinne's a 2-person team & the other guy made that one); these game are rawer than those, obviously Pixelheart's been porting/republishing their stuff since the Dreamcast homebrew days, albeit not always well

Think the Detective Pikachu games showed interactions that weren't fighting and talked about habitat. The game Disc Creatures did this a little but could have been more.

unlabelledView post →Disc Creatures! It's a fun gameboy color style monster collector. The combat is a little more like Dragon Quest Monsters and the story is broken up into "episodes" almost. Although it's all in one game. They're coming out with Disc Creatures World next year as well!

I figured it would be best to try all manners of monster taming and not just the typical RPG format. I may even consider a Megami Tensei game, but which one?

Disc Creatures in contrast, this one is descended from the Dragon Quest Monsters games, which I'm not so familiar with... though this game made me want to fix that! a bit of an old-school grind, but it's all part of the pitch-perfect GBC aesthetic. dripping with charm from every pixel

unlabelledView post →I still remember the #Collectems project, an RPG with gameplay similar to the GameBoy Pokemon games (which was sadly cancelled), but it turns out there's a similar game out now called #DiscCreatures: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1083190/Disc_Creatures/
