The climbing sections of the game are horrible in the extreme. The writing is very preachy. All the male characters are either terrible people or effeminate. All of the female characters are amazing at everything they do.

Almost everyone in the game is unlikeable and insufferable especially Issac and Kathy (protagonist) with only exception being Ryan. Everyone has constant moodswings and just does things out of blue. The charm of the previous game is also ruined via adding faces to characters and nonstop talking. The laser is…

It is a sequel to the game called “Deliver us the Moon”, so it is more likely you will like this game if you have played the first one very recently since the story will make more sense. The game starts well, but shortly into the game you are stuck with annoying characters throughout the end, and the story becomes worse. The whole game builds up to a moment and then just fails to execute. They…

I was a fan of the previous game from @keokeninteractive.bsky.social, Deliver Us the Moon, and so far this game has been a big step up in every way. There's no artbook for the game, but check out some concept art from Brenda van Vugt and Gerben Pasjes!

unlabelledView post →Game....is this a game? not really. It's a novel with some interactive puzzles. Which is not to say it's bad...it's a well enough told novel, but the "game play" only just barely fails to avoid getting in the way. The laser puzzles only barely rise above "do the only thing you can do". The climbing sections are barely a skill check, and the decryption puzzles are just a chore. That said, they're all 3 very well executed, controls are well executed, nothing is unclear. But they don't add…

I went in expecting a sci-fi game about exploring Mars, but the story ended up being much more personal than I expected. Kathy's whole journey is really about her relationship with her father and trying to understand why he left. You can feel how much she still cares about him, even though she's angry and hurt, and that made her story hit harder for me. The atmosphere is probably my favorite part. Mars feels so empty and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DELIVER US MARS This game is a fantastic experience from start to finish. The story is emotional, engaging, and full of memorable moments, expanding the universe introduced in Deliver Us The Moon, but better in my opinion. The narrative keeps a great pace and builds a strong connection with the characters. The graphics are beautiful, with detailed environments and an art direction that makes Mars feel both stunning and hostile. The feeling of walking, climbing, and exploring the planet…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seems like an interesting exploration/puzzle game, but there's a section called Herschel Crater about 5 hours in (I play slow, to explore and find all the hidden secrets) where there's either: 1) Buggy code or 2) An Impossible Jumping/Climbing puzzle That people on the net have gotten through by either uninstalling and reinstalling the game and starting over, or got through it once and couldn't get through it again, so probably buggy code? Anyway, life's too short to play games I'm stuck on,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a waste of my time. Deliver Us Mars is just good enough to keep me playing through to the end, but just bad enough to make me regret the time I spent playing it. Here's why: The story is "Daddy Issues: The Video Game". Protagonist Kathie has one defining characteristic - her father, Astarion Isaac. That's where her personality begins and ends, that's all she ever talks about, that's all the story revolves around. I sincerely hope you like their relationship, because there's a whole lot…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Deus ex mankind Divided was half a game. When you finish the story it is obvious that there is still a chunk missing. Deliver us Mars is also half a game. It's story is finished and contained. However everything else is not. To put it short: Deliver us Mars Plays, Looks and Performs like a Demo of the actual game we might get some day. - The animations look stiff and unfinished, characters switching to idle position that look more like "A-Posing with some jitter" that is the same for…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd rate this game a 4 or 5 out of 10. The concept is interesting and the story has some interesting points but it's mostly poorly executed and lacking in depth. There are just too many plot holes and things that don't make any sense for me to really get invested in the story or care about the characters. The gameplay is also terribly dull with tedious climbing mechanics, simplistic puzzles, and overall very lackluster level design. The visuals are the standout feature of this game but the…

unlabelledView post →This is a fine game but I don't recommend it. There's so much potential here that it's frustrating. I'm willing to look past the floating hair, odd character models, and a few other issues. I would even be able to overlook the frequent crashing. What I'm trying to say is that I could look past any issues for a good game. Mechanics wise it's a little tedious but the complaints are overblown. The mechanics are the best parts of the game. It's impressive they were able to make it all work. You…

unlabelledView post →An absolutely terrific sequel to Deliver Us the Moon. Everything from the production value, story, level design and overall aesthetic was a major step-up from the first game. I adore games where you can get sucked into the lore and really get attached to characters, and the dev team really pulled it off here. The narrative does a great job of speaking to our current climate crises without being overly heavy-handed, and deals with moral gray areas in a way I don't see in many games these…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A decent follow up to Deliver Us The Moon - where the story and characters continue on. There's a lot more theatrical flare to this, with cutscenes and and much more deliberate pacing - but it all feels a little cheapened with how sloppy some of the presentation is. Worth playing for the story, but the comments here complaining about the climbing aren't wrong - there are multiple areas of extended climbing sections, and they all control really poorly. I wish more time was spent on making it…

unlabelledView post →For some reason, every creator of a sci-fi space game these days fancies themselves a writer for Interstellar... despite having Redditor-level writing chops, at best, and access to minimally-viable-product-level character modeling tech, which doesn't jive well with attempts at being serious. Despite loving every aspect of Deliver Us the Moon, I couldn't sit through the self-indulgent "narrative" sequences that are so prolonged, you forget the game mechanics. Somewhere beneath this is a decent…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible.. Multiple game breaking glitches. The first rock climbing area would not work on Keybaord or PC. Multiple times stuck within walls at first facility and the first ARK. Had to uninstall multiple times and restart full game twice for the first rock climb. How can your game be this broken...? Cannot recommend this game, and the glitches and bugs obviously wont be fixed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls are not smooth they make the game very difficult to play
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Numerous bugs, Broken climbing in chapter 4 prevented me from progressing. Character refused to attach to the wall or randomly was unable to use pickaxes mid climb. Would not recommend even on sale.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a beautiful game. not perfect, but still has a great storyline, gorgeous graphics, and immersive gameplay. even if i wish we had more choices in the game and i got frustrated a few times during puzzles and character dialogue, i still think this is one of my favorite games. it's so good i had to purchase it twice. it's worth the price and i can't wait for the next game to come out. if you love space and puzzles you need to play!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Worthy Sequel to the Moon Saga I just finished Deliver Us Mars, and what a story it was! It serves as a really solid sequel to Deliver Us The Moon, tying in the events that happened on the moon perfectly. The narrative depth here really gets my hopes up for the third installment, Deliver Us Home. The Good Story: Incredible narrative that expands the lore significantly. Continuity: If you played the first game, you'll appreciate how well the events connect. The Bugs I did run into a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not for me. The game is mostly story focused, which I don't mind, with an occasional puzzle thrown in. Again I don't mind that. But some of the random things it has you do are not even really puzzles and mostly just irritating time wasters. Like the "decryption" mechanic for holograms. My sensitivity for everything is turned up pretty high for accessibility reasons, and this stupid thing just takes forever as a result. It's not hard, it's just tedious.

unlabelledView post →Worse than the first game. Main character sucks. New mechanics are under cooked (the climbing is atrocious) and boring. Wouldn't recommend. Would refund if I could.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the only thing that was making the game worth it of being played was the story and that gets destroyed by the end,the writer had amnesia and destroyed the main character and story at the last segment of the game don't even bother playing this mess, unless you love being bored by the gameplay and disappointed by the story
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mediocre like Deliver Us The Moon, in fact, previous game was far less annoying that this. MC being trash talked the whole game. Every character pissed me off. If this is humanity then we are fu**d lmao. Ost is good. New climbing mechanics suck pretty much. Short like first game. I feel like i wasted my time sadly, get on sale. 5/10
