A simple and addictive electronic version of a tabletop game, which is quite simple to understand, and luck is often a very important factor in the game, in addition to careful thought and a strategy for steady progress. Players can often turn the tables in a single turn by chaining card combos. Of course, Dead Man's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Card game without multiplayer? It's like going on a date with yourself, you know it's not that bad but it feels empty.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really do like this card game. Simple enough premise and early play before the booster make a difference. Full of RNG, not a bad thing it is what it is (your play can mitigate). Great for a couple of hands, and I can see myself getting more achievements with further play. If you don't like RNG with a number of ways to mitigate the effects don't bother, for everyone else; have fun and try again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I received a free key for Dead Man's Draw during a giveaway held by the developer and I’m glad I did because this game turned out to be fun, challenging and captivating. You can really get hooked on Dead Man's Draw and play it nonstop for hours. It’s a must have for card games fans.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dead Man's Draw is a Push your luck game with strong RNG elements. I own the physical copy and I like it; often I play it with my friends during our game nights. Sadly this digital version is disappointing, because: -Odds are always in opponent's favor They always draw the best combo and rarely bust. They can even draw 6/7 cards without problems, while you often bust on the second card. -Lack of multiplayer You can only play against AI -Bust pile is not visible You don't know how many…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well... Not a big deal. This is a variant of a solitaire game with some traits and effects. The Graphics are decent. The music is OK. No story here. No bugs or crashes. Overall, it's entertaining for a while, then slowly, but surely, it becomes boring and feels like a chore. The game puts emphasis on the risk aspect, but the risk is mostly for you, as your AI opponent pulls super combos all the time while you DO know you gonna bust with the next card. Once you get that the game is pretty much…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amusing for the first hour. Then it becomes a repetitive activity dominated by RNG.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game opens to a resolution that does not fit the screen and option buttons disappear. Which makes the game unplayable. Even uninstalling game does not fix it. This is an issue that has been known about in the forums since at least back to 2015 and yet nothing has been done to fix the issue.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is very "rigged". Once you pass the first few levels (to hook you), other than a few lucky wins, you will find yourself CONSTANTLY losing in the last few draws. The AI seems to always get the better draws (yeah right, rigged draws), and you will find yourself on the receiving end of MANY MANY "doubles" that end your turn (especially when you draw the card that forces you to draw 2...at least 70% of these have been me being forced to draw a pair every time!...that isn't just bad luck that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, first: This is a card game! So if you don't like playing cards...you won't like this game! Two: Card games DO involve luck or randomness. So if this drives you nuts, stay away from it as well! For everybody else: This is an EXCELLENT card game!!!! It looks great. Runs very well with zero issues. And offers a fresh take on the genre by bringing-in a completely different and refreshing deck of cards instead of the classic 52 cards hearts and spades we are so used to! I play this with a rum…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →95% RNG! 2/10 play time past 30 mins is from card farming. 1 more game for the hidden library abyss
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is great and lots of fun in the first few rounds or so. But after some time the opponents seem to get extremely lucky with the cards they get and will quickly over take the game and there is nothing you can do about it. Only once in a while do you get lucky enough to win a game. Yes, this game cheats.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a decent little game. The RNG is heavy in this one, and the AI is somewhat unfairly balanced. As many have said and tried to prove with statistics, the player will more consistently end up with early busts, and the AI will consistently be favored with longer/better plays and plays almost as if it knows what is coming next. I have also experienced a few crashes. Overall, it's a decent time killer, and if there was a neutral rating, I would give it. Since there is not, I have to lean…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: Lazy coding ruins an otherwise fun strategy card game that rapidly becomes too frustrating to want to deal with. While it's a decent card game, it would be better with friends. The reason is instead of crafting any sort of AI for the computer player the dev just seemed to code hard "cheats". You have RNG, the computer gets predictable strings of plays. This quickly becomes frustrating because there is literally no lead that you can amass which will overcome the final hand, which is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game but the ai is a cheating a$$! one match they drew 1 card then stopped, why just one? because the next one would have been a bust. it will also stop if the next 2 cards are the same (so you bust). get the physical version it's way better. also single player? these devs missed the point of a party game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really limited version of the physical game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has a fun concept and is cool, the only problem is that it is way too luck based, so when you win, you don't feel like you did anything special, and when you lose it's kinda frustrating. The whole aim of this game is to draw cards with different effects, but the luck based aspect comes from the fact that if you draw two of the same suit you "bust", you can have all the skill in the world, but when all the draws that you get is litelly draw a card and the next card will bust you, and you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was fun for the first couple hours, until I realized that the "random" draws very often favor the computer opponents and the number of times you'll get a draw 2 bust is unreasonable since I NEVER saw the computer do it. Unless you're okay with losing several game "just because", don't bother wasting your money on this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't be too put off by how the game is presented as frantic and real-time. We're putting finishing touches on the non-real-time version, which my various game groups and I prefer to play. If you like push-your-luck games like Dead Man's Draw or Circus Flohcati, this is worth your attention.
unlabelledView post →Play Slay the Spire. Much more skill based, you still get some RNG if you're into that, and much less grinding. In all seriousness, while its fine, I'd never recommend it to someone.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Believe those who say this game cheats because: THE AI IS CHEAP! You can be up 45 points towards the end of a game an d lose as the AI continually "Just happens" to get the perfect cards. Add to that there is No 2 player option!??!?! Finally: FORGET about getting a response from the publisher: NEVER happen. I paid under $2.00 for this. I was ripped off.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →! Jarrizard's Pros and Cons Review ! The game provides a little bit of fun for a certain amount of time but, games like this should've been cheaper ($1-$2 tier). The idea and mechancis are well thought but the execution of the game itself (while not bad) looks like it was given minimal effort by the devs. There's a lot of potential in the game, you'll find yourself wanting to play more until the RNG starts to screw you over and you'll ragequit the round before it's even finished. Pros + A lot…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nope, nice idea but the third opponent cheats, so can't recommend as I'm quite sure the rest of them will do it too.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game has a horrible problem with the resolution, tedious work just to be able to start playing in a normal screen. Still I haven't succeeded. EDIT: After being able to set the screen resolution, windowed mode forced in order to work, I could checked that is a kind of game of "push your luck" with some ability strategy add to it. Luck is the most important factor, but its the best I've played so far of these kind of games. If you have ever played a card game with your friend in which you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I actually love this game. It is the perfect game to play a few rounds to chill out. Mixing and matching traits is key on some of the levels as well. Some traits just won't work well against certain AI opponents. Some reviews state how the AI gets lucky runs in the game. I haven't really seen that much in my time playing. It has sorta a blackjack feel at times because you can either play the odds and end your turn or risk taking one more card to strengthen your point total. Sometimes…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool concept but lacks in places. I really like the game rules and it's worth playing and sticking out until all the deck abilities are unlocked so you can have fun with some combos. However, the Ai's make bigger risk pulls than what would seem sensible to a human but seem to only bust on 3/4 cards on the table. The most annoying part for me was the XP counter music.. it sounds like a broken slot machine.. Overall I wouldn't recommend. I picked this up for <$1 in a humble bundle and was done…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As has been noted by other reviewers, this game appears to cheat. After getting the same losing sequence of cards 22 times (I started logging it when it seemed to happen so often) I've come to the conclusion that either the game is programmed to cheat the player, or the coders really just sucked at their job. In either case, this game is not worth buying. I paid $0.50 for it and feel kind of cheated. You deserve a better play experience and you can do better buying something else. I own a…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game for $0.50 as part of a Humble Bundle - and it was a deal!! This is a simple little game that is easy to learn but difficult to master. I see other reviewers talking trash about how "random" the game is, but it's really not any more random than any other card game out there. You draw random cards and then you need to make a series of decisions based on the current situation. I was able to pull off some killer combos to crush the opponent. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I guess the AI has a lot of fun firing combos every third turn. After i realized that my win rate is not getting worse when i play like a clicker monkey, i stopped.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A challenging card game with a steep learning curve, the difficulty of earning all achievements gives it a high replay value.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game revolves around praying to RNGesus.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overlooked game. Deeper than it appears and pretty fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Real boring game that is heavenly RNG and the AI is sometimes dumb as bread and sometimes the AI makes clever and almost unbelievable combos. The problem: Winning is easy. But getting the 3 star chests is hard. Simple because the AI get only clever and make combos, after you reach a specific number of points at the battle (higher then 60). And the AI not even tries to win at this point. It only make everything that you have lower points at the end of the battle. But since the chests give…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A hard game to review. If you want it short, skip to the TLDR. The game "can" be really good fun at the start and for some people even well into it. But it's not long until you realise that the ai is scripted in an extremely horrible way. For me, this tipped my review to a downvote because whilst the game is easy and relaxing, the ai downright cheats badly, but not in your typical way. This is more so aimed at effecting the 3 star rating of a level and in no way makes them win. The ai is easy…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's pure RNG, you do almost exactly as well by spamming left click as you do by trying to be clever, just tap every time you get 20+ points and it's over

unlabelledView post →Enjoying it a lot since it has huge random and relatively radical skills. Also a notable "one more turn" example. Simple, fast, not punishing, not demanding. Playable with mouse only, so can be played fine from phone + steam link, and works fine with native touch screens too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doesn't work, i get an error on startup, i have been getting the same error for years.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the AI cheats and removes certain cards from the stack so you can't have it. instead it pushes 3 of the same bad cards into discard pile to bust you 100%. that's most evident case, not to mention wall hacking and knowing all cards upfront, getting a cannon to blow my cards almost every turn while I'm getting that card once per match if lucky, dealing enormously long line of cards without busting (over 7) and finishing it with chest/key from a heap pile to win a match where I had huge lead.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The basic gameplay for Dead Man's Draw is very entertaining. It is quite simple to learn and there a lots of different combination that you can use if you include the traits you take into each round. Like most card games, it has an element of luck involved. The problem is, luck is the main feature. I have found myself losing games I should have won and winning games I should have lost all because of luck. It happens far too often and over time, gives the impression that any skill you have is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Deceptively simple at first, but gets more complex and starts to be very interesting in the different ways you can combine cards.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Click simulator. Alot of RNG, alot of click. The AI is very competent though. Good to waste 1 hour.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No multiplayer, even local. Good game, but gets boring fast playing alone. Local multiplayer would have been good to add, but they couldn't even do that.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great little time killer if you don't mind matches that are contingent on a bit of luck. Rounds are very quick, so even if you do truly draw some garbage cards, it takes no time at all to hop back in and seek revenge. Also if the dev is reading - I would pay again for an Android port! :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Refreshingly, this game provides exactly what it says on the tin. •The goal of the game is to collect high value cards, so you have more points than your opponent when a match ends. •The cards have different abilities depending on the suit. They allow you to chain together impressive combos of abilities, as long as you're willing to take the risk of losing precious cards to bad luck, potentially letting your opponent collect them. •There are many gemstones that are unlocked as you play,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoy card games and I've played and reviewed plenty in the past. Dead Man's Draw is great concept but the game becomes very repetitive with not enough in the way of rewarding the player or even making any effort in mixing up the levels. Everything looks the same in the game from beginning to end, even the music seems to be entirely made up of just one track looping over and over forever. You have about a dozen suits of pirate-themed cards with various abilities with the simple goal…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Easy to learn But can it be mastered? The computer player Is a cheating bastard!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dead Man's Draw is a lot of fun ... at first. Cards and pirates and duels, oh my! But as you get deeper into the game, you realize how random it really is. Also, the AI is really good and more than a match for a new player. So, you play and replay hands until you get lucky. Many times, the AI will turn the game around on the last draw. The total randomness leads to a lot of anger and frustration. I haven't felt rage like this since I was heavily into Hearthstone.

It's the first tabletop game that, to my knowledge, offers an accurate portrayal of life with ferrets.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a 45 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my Son, who is 14 now. My son got this game from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I…
