60 of 183 · most liked firstI'm not really a fan. Doesn't mean it's bad. I just don't recommend it to those like me. $15 is actually probably a good price, but this game is punishing. Any little UI error or decision can f you over and waste up to maybe 2 dozen hours of your time due to permadeath mechanics. The difficulty does not come from gameplay, but from not knowing the results of chocies. With no manual saves, you're left guessing @ what the developer decided would happen next. It feels harsh, unfair to the player,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Casual yet quite charming, Simple yet quite fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite rough around the edges but overall not a horrible game. Personally would recommend waiting until it goes on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This should be one of the hardest reviews I write. For gamers (those who have experienced many games), this game is garbage. Skip it. That's all I can say. But if you are not a gamer and currently finding some "SIMPLE" turn-based games to play without minding too much about the fancy systems, I will recommend this game. The combat is very boring and very repetitive; so are the gameplay and animation. There is a thin line between simple and boring; you can judge which adj. suits this game based…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →mixed feelings... - boring repetitive battles which takes most of the time (80%) - Game has so convoluting stats, but my curiosity pushed me on. To learn how this mess works. (rest 20% of playtime). - even on the easiest difficulty the game has a tight time limit on most quests. - finished 6 areas all the way to round 20 and the bosses are kind of lame (bullet sponges). In other tactical turn-based games you get a feeling of accomplishment when outsmarting the enemies. stoping an…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very repetitive, just glad I bought it on sale or I'd be pretty bummed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →uninteresting story, uninteresting characters, half-assed animations, unintuitive and glitchy UI. if it was done last year, I would ask if it was made entirely by AI. anyway, stay away.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awful UI. simply Awful
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →RANDOM GAME 31 This is one of the worst UI's I've ever had the displeasure of using. Also the gameplay is just a snoozefest.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a simple zombie game, looks nice at first sight. But the combat is too simple, and all the locations look the same after 2 hours of play. The game just becomes boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →🧟♂️ Dead Age: Great Idea, But Too Dead for Its Own Good 🧟♀️💤 Dead Age promises a lot: turn-based combat, permadeath, and survival management during a zombie apocalypse—sounds epic, right? Unfortunately, the execution is about as exciting as a zombie doing paperwork. 📝🧟 First off, the combat feels sluggish. Sure, it’s turn-based like Final Fantasy, but without the excitement. It’s a constant grind against waves of predictable enemies, and after a while, you start to wish the zombies…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has a decent basic gameplay loop, but the repetitive grinding is a chore and by the end you'll be bored to tears with it. The art and 3D modeling are terrible. There are just so many better turn-based and zombie games around that there's no reason to put time into this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Comparable to not FTL but more to dogos dongos. Turn based gameplay in the vein of typical JRPG. This time with zombies. Some contextual choices and management are involved. Generally gameplay feels slow. Visuals are pretty bad. Music mediocre but that's not the biggest con here. Better to play Walking Dead series or just grab some decent JRPG. On the plus customization is pretty good and allow for variety of weapons to choose from and different approaches.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got it for free during a promo, no way I would pay 15$ for it. The gameplay it's alright but it gets extremely repetitive, you basically fight the same enemies and just use the same powers there is very little strategy and very little ammount of thinking, I guess it works for a game to kill time, I kind of dislike the archivements basically force you to complete the entire game multiple times. But well, I did feel entertained playing it considering I got it for free I would say it's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Platinum Trophy #773 - Dead Age 2! Not as fun as the first, and the brutal RNG made it a slog to get through. Restarting a game for 23 hours to get one event to spawn is not even my idea of fun. 😅 #TrophyHunter #PlatinumTrophy #PlayStation #DeadAge2
unlabelledView post →The main thing about this game is the turn-based combat and it's rather tedious, forcing you to click a lot. The game could also be more informative about the items that you use. When all is said and done, it's just not very amusing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An okay rogue-lite turn-based combat game with strategy elements set in a zombie apocalypse. This game offers: Rogue-lite gameplay: if your main character dies, medals earned in the playthrough can improve the main character (although I find these upgrades not that helpful) for the next playthrough. Character skill management: You can recruit many survivors throughout the game and manage what roles you would like to assign to them Resource management: A few resources to manage to ensure the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dead Age is a combination survival, management, and turn based combat game. You play as any number of characters, struggling to survive in the wake of the zombie apocalypse. In my particular playthrough, I played as a student who woke up, couldn’t find his sister, and joined up with a group of survivors. As with any zombie game, the player must fight to survive, battling zombies, raiders, and the constant demon of starvation. Dead Age’s mechanics are an interesting combination. The management…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun, repetitive and a bit disappointing game. Graphics are nice. The characters and zombies are a bit weird looking, but is ok. The environments are really well done with a lot of detail. The art style in the mini cutscenes is cool. And the notebook style of the UI is great for this type of game. Sound effects are a bit lacking. Some of the weapons attack sounds and animations don't match, sometimes the death sounds of the zombies doesn't play, and sometimes the weapon type doesn't match the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A solid indie mix of turn-based RPG combat and zombie apocalypse survival management. Scavenging for resources, making tough moral choices, and positioning your party for tactical combat loops keep things engaging, even if repetitive grind and minor balancing issues hold it back from greatness.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've put 35 hours into it, so I must have enjoyed it. Dead Age is a turn based combat (which does get stale quickly), party management RPG with some well implemented qualities in the background. There are multiple endings (I won't be chasing them all) and some decent twists and turns as the story progresses. It's a real challenge on the normal level, but if you want to get through the story and see what the game has to offer, there is a Casual Difficulty. It's probably better than it has any…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am not sure what to make of this. The UI is very confusing. Either I hit a glitch and the game prevented me from traveling, thus ending the game, or the UI is so damned unintuative I could not figure out how to travel. Then I need to pick up some materials for a mission. I have 48 and I need 50. I go out on a mission and get 5 materials the first fight and 5 the 2nd. That is more than 2, right? So I head back to camp. Rather early, I know, but I had picked up 10 materials when I needed 2.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played the game for about three days now. It has a lot of repetitive content. Collect items, manage repeating enemy types, food reserves and defense. But you really have freedom of choice. Am I helping this family? Do I open this box? Do I assign guards today or do I go into battle with everyone? Do I want to meet this survivor privately in the camp? The gameplay also includes failure. You get medals through achievements that you can use for a new game to get better conditions. A good…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Massively disappointing. A sheriff that shows up to give warnings but does little else. A medic that never ventures out of the base but gives quests that drain resources. Yet they both dare to take food. Depletion of resources occurs at a ridiculous rate. The survivors can pout if they don't get their way which means they are useless for in-game days. Yet they still use up resources. Oh and some of the quests have unreasonable time limits. Zombies can block... Need I say more. Not worth the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Score: 3/5 A tedious, overly difficult and RNG-based management + turn-based combat + RPG game that doesn't have enough going for it. I'd much rather play Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead or Darkest Dungeon. Writing is okay, but not engaging enough to carry the other parts of the game. Combat is the majority of the game, and it's boring and repetitive. To be successful you need to use firearms. You will not get enough crafting components from using them to justify using the bullets. Enemies do very…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only played for 15 minutes but it just feels too janky and offputting, I will probably play more in the future but it's such a let down so far.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple game mechanics which i like, unfortunately it incorporates the factors that your goods gets stolen a lot and you run out of food and people that you can utilize to prevent this things from happening while you are surviving in a time limit events or you lose again the game. Its not fun for me.

Starting over 5 hours in is rough. Slow & repetitive. Only for masochists. That said I got the best ending. 2.5/5⭐️ @polykillpodcast.bsky.social #justbeatit
unlabelledView post →Slow and tedious gameplay, almost completely devoid of any tactical gameplay elements. Game structure is strange and not engaging. Story and setting isn't original in any way. Graphics are mediocre at best, the sound and music is annoying. This game currently has a 81% poitive rating ... I'm tired of low standards, so tired. It's a 3/10, not anywhere near worth the asking price.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Upside: gameplay is awesome ! I really enjoy this one. Geuinely love the mix of turn based tactics and base mangement. Always wanted a zombie game like this Downside: Characters are very one-dimensional and boring, with generally a single personality trait. A bit disapointing for a sub-genre that generally focuses on character development and phsycological horror Very fun, though! One of those games that you should buy if it looks interesting to you, because what you see is pretty much…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's a lot going for this game, but I can't recommend because the meat of the game is boring and shallow grinding through battles. Some sparse narrative and character dialogue albeit nicely written just seems mindless. I felt like a mindless zombie clicking through a lot of things.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, let's cut to the chase: this game is janky and forgettable. It's the kind of experience that leaves you scratching your head, wondering if you missed something. Sure, maybe the sequel holds promise, but this one? It's just too grindy and aesthetically unpleasant to be enjoyable. It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack of disappointment. So yeah, if you're considering giving it a whirl, maybe think twice. There are plenty of other games out there begging for your attention, ones…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent game, but the grind is too much. I kept playing it till the end since the game mechanics and the story kept me somewhat entertained, but at the end credits I felt hollow inside. There was no feeling of a worthwhile achievement. My rating 5,5/10, barely recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Janky and forgettable. Nevertheless liked the genre and still had some fun the first two or three hours. But regretted I grinded just to see a few endings. I could give the sequel a try. But this one is too grindy and aesthetically unpleasant to have fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good little turn-based management game with an interesting variety of endings. The gameplay itself is not particularly difficult, and there is quite a lot to enjoy at first. Unfortunaly, it becomes very repetitive very quickly. 100% steam achievements Time : 63.4H Completion Difficulty : 5/10 Playthroughs : 6 minimun Missables : None Guide Recommended : Yes - strongly for the different endings Notable requirements : obtaint all 6 endings, complete all romances, and experience various…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dead Age, developed by Silent Dreams and published by Headup, is a distinctive fusion of survival management, turn-based combat, and roguelike progression, all set in a grim world overrun by the undead. Rather than chasing the high-octane thrills of typical zombie shooters, it takes a slower, more strategic approach, tasking players with the daily grind of survival—balancing resources, protecting survivors, and making moral decisions that determine who lives and who dies. It is a game that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dead Age is a zombie survival game where you make choices, fight turn-based battles, and try not to die (spoiler: you probably will). It’s kind of like The Walking Dead meets old-school RPGs. You play as a survivor during a zombie outbreak. You build a base, go on missions, and manage your group of survivors. People can die (for real), and the game changes based on what you do. That means your choices actually matter. Cool, right? Combat is like in Pokémon – turn-based – but with guns,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I must admit, I realy realy enjoyed this game. Worth all the Euros I paid. Ofcourse it could have more RP elements, more survivors etc, but those are small details. I will try the second game soon and we will see how things have evolved.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At first the game was fun, but it quickly became way too repetitive. The “roguelite” elements are incredibly weak, as the only real difference is how leveled-up each character starts. Plus, the “classes” don’t feel unique - they’re just characters with different skills leveled up, which is pretty underwhelming. The dungeon crawling is awful. Enemies are repetitive, and the events are super generic and boring. Crafting feels really underwhelming too since you have to leave someone behind at the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite challenging camp management and interesting learning curve
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can´t give a positiv review cause the pure gameplay in the fights is slow and onesided and sometimes based on luck

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Enjoying the game, but can't seem to get any buttons/mouse pad to work on steam deck, so having to use the touch screen to play. Fun game recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun turn-based zombie game where you send your party members out for a day of scavenging and try to run a camp. It's pretty easy to pickup and not super difficult. I'm enjoying this and would recommend it for zombie gamers.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For Zombie survival game enthusiasts this is a gem
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tedious combat.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →15 mins in and I've seen the same environment 4x, had the same combat sequence and with WAY too many clicks. Storyline is vague, first mission is very long and immediately kills me. Even the tutorial bugged out. Requested refund.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It may not be for everyone, but I have been enjoying it. It's a game you can play in a window, while watching something in the background... and then finding yourself very engaged with the game (hours flying by) and not really paying attention to what ever you were watching in the background. People may find combat and quests/events to be repetitive, saving at dawn to feel inflexible, and may not enjoy the resource management (keeping your camp supplied). If a turn-based, resource…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I did not like this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having played this game twice (once, years ago on mobile, all the way to the end - and now, to some 90%, on my Steam Deck for some 30 hours) - here is my (re)view of it (hopefully helpful to others). :-) Would I recommend this game? Yes, I would strongly recommend it to anyone who enjoys its core elements: Zombie survival setting, turn-based combat, Party/camp management. If you like these things you can't go wrong here, esp. when it's on sale. Because, to me, the positives (appropriate…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid survival horror game. I'm enjoying figuring out how to survive in the turn-based format.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even though I love everything zombies, this should have been a game I would have enjoyed, I didn't. It just didn't work for me, and became boring very quickly. It didn't help much that the graphics, music and sound effects all were very basic and failed to immerse me in any way.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun and re-playable. Something new every time with small improvements to your baseline each time you go through. i am looking forward to the second game.
