Used to go on sale for -75% on average for YEARS, now it's on sale for -50%, and off sale it's still full price, which is insane! While it definitely would be worth it like 5 years ago (and honestly in terms of quality, it definitely is worth it if you have the extra money to just burn), my gripe is how slimy the publisher is with the pricing of this game. I urge…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Since my therapist said I need healthy coping skills, I decided to find a cozy game to unwind with. I decided to pick up Dark Souls III because it seems to be a relaxing experience. There are loads of pretty castles and people excited to say hello to you. I even met a man shaped like an onion, and I found a cute dress. I hope this helps.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I never thought id be able to play one of these sorts of games let alone make it past the first few stages but its taught me a valuable lesson in perseverance and not to give up so i'm very thankful for that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why Do We Still Reach for the Fire When It Is Dying? I did not truly understand Dark Souls when I defeated a difficult boss. That understanding arrived slowly, like cold rain sinking into old stone. At first it only felt lonely. Later I realized the loneliness had already settled somewhere much deeper. I completed Dark Souls in October 2025, and Dark Souls II a month later. Two months is not long in ordinary life, yet in the world of Souls it felt enough to watch entire kingdoms fade…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This used to be my all time favorite game. Why is this still 60 dollars? Why is every DLC 15-25 dollars? It's 10 years later and this game: 1) runs less efficiently 2) costs the same. Bandai's marketing team is more concerned with releasing game breaking updates for its predecessors (DS1 remake, DS2 Scholars edition, even yours truly) than actually providing any active support for it's prior titles. Elden Ring? Great! Dark Souls 3? Wonderful! DS2, DS1, Bloodborne. All really nice. My wallet…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In 2017, a stranger on Twitch bought me this game saying it might help me get through one of the bleaker moments of my life. That gift was perhaps one of the wiser things I've ever been given, because it taught me the meaning of the phrase "Don't You Dare Go Hollow". As someone who battles suicidal ideations on a day to day, I really can relate far too much to those wayward souls who rock back and forth in despair clawing at their head hoping for it to end. But I can also relate to the main…

I went in seeing it through the lens of Elden Ring, which was my first real experience with this kind of game. Right away, you can feel the difference. Unlike the open world of Elden Ring, Dark Souls III is much more linear and focused. For me, that actually worked in its…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why is this game $80. Its been out for nearly 10 years and is still full price. $113 for the Season pass. What is fromsoft smoking with these prices.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8.5/10 What a nice game, really made me feel the same feeling I felt playing ds1. I feel like this would have been a better start to souls games, if anyone who hasn't played and wants to try souls game I think I would reccomend this game first. Great Soundtrack, great boss fights, really good level design.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game itself is really good but the developers still haven't enabled cloud saves. After losing a 550 hour save because I had to reinstall windows, I can't recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The penultimate action RPG. Only for the daring and courageous of heart. You may loose many battles in this game, but you only loose the war when you quit.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dark Souls III is, without a doubt, the best Souls game FromSoftware has ever made. The combat feels smooth, every boss is memorable, and the world constantly rewards exploration. But what truly elevates this game is its soundtrack. Nearly every major boss theme is unforgettable, turning already incredible fights into masterpieces. The DLCs are just as amazing. They don't feel like extra content—they feel essential. They introduce some of the best bosses, areas, and music in the entire…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Masterpiece. Even after 10 years, I came back to it, and it’s still my favorite Souls game. DS3🔝👑🤍
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I decided to buy Dark Souls 3 I pretty much walked into it expecting it to be less entertaining than Elden Ring. Oh man.. It surpassed my expectations in literally every possible way. Since I'm not really an open-world games enjoyer, the way this game is constructed was perfect for me and I can't think of a single location that I would change when it comes to that topic. Combat was comfy, took me a second to get the hang of since I had a small break from souls games, but after that it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bruh... its Dark Souls 3. You KNOW its a good game... I will say, I think 3 is a bit harder- in an overall sorta way- as opposed to 1 and 2. Not Sekiro hard, but hard in a fun, challenging way. Buy it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Came here from Elden ring being my first souls game and honestly I like Dark Souls 3 a lot more, Havent played both dlcs for this game yet but I am loving this. I just defeated the final boss tonight and am downloading the dlcs as I speak.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dark Souls III feels like the story of a knight who kept their vow until the world ended. Everything here is tired. Kingdoms have collapsed into ash. Gods have withered into memory. Great warriors have forgotten what they were fighting for. Old duties continue long after the people who gave them meaning are gone. And somehow, you keep walking. That is what I love most about this game. You die, you return, you learn, and eventually you overcome something that once seemed impossible. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Used to be an ultra hardcore DS1 believer, installed both DS1 and DS3 again after some time, speedrunned through DS1 cause I know it by heart, got bored after a while. Then came DS3, played through the entire NG and did both DLCs once again and damn: better graphics, more variety, affined movements, DS lore and musics (Motoi Sakuraba the goat) and almost everything is just done better. Truly the best game series that exists as of today and DS3 is at its peak. PRAISE THE SUN ! A wandering…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DARK SOULS III – God Is Dead, and the Flame Belongs to Man Playtime: 119 hours I stood upon the High Wall of Lothric for a long time, gazing at that sun forever rimmed in darkness. As my journey neared its end, I suddenly understood that this was not an adventure about saving the world, but a stark funeral – a funeral for the gods, and for the old order itself. Nietzsche's proclamation that "God is dead" was no longer an abstract philosophical pronouncement; it was ash slowly cooling…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I dipped my head in wax and that's all that is important in the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ds1 and ds2 are "hard" in the sense that the levels are extremely punishing and everything will majorly inconvenience you. ds3 still has some aspects of these, but most of the difficulty has been transferred over to bosses, which is preferable imo. also it suits players who started off with elden ring
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Dark Souls 3: From Ashes to Memories" As someone whose favorite game of all time is Elden Ring, I always wondered what it would be like to go back and experience one of the games that inspired it. Among all of FromSoftware's titles, Dark Souls 3 was the one that people praised the most. Also, the combat and mechanics are very similar to those of Elden Ring, so it was the perfect destination for me. I just wanted to experience a good challenge and memorable boss fights, and it turned out that…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dark Souls III is a masterpiece of atmosphere, challenge, and rewarding gameplay. It perfectly blends the slower, methodical combat of earlier Souls titles with faster, more aggressive mechanics, creating an experience that feels both intense and deeply satisfying. The world design is exceptional—dark, interconnected, and full of secrets. Every area tells a story through its environment, enemies, and haunting soundtrack. Boss fights are unforgettable, pushing you to learn, adapt, and overcome…

Then there's this guy called Soul Of Cinder who's like the final boss of the game and stuff I don't wanna spoil more but. Let's just say, Pontiff Sulyvahn beat my ass way more then the final boss of the game. This is what I expected coming into a FromSoftware game and I must say, I am impressed by the levels of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Thank you, FromSoftware

The lore is so deep in this trilogy it is INSANE. Every game is connected to eachother in so many ways. It is mindblowing. When you will play it, you will understand what I mean. Enough of the lore let's talk about the best part in this game bosses. Peak Souls 3 has the best bosses of any video game. Most of my favorite bosses I have encountered in my…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The ultimate act of artistic honesty: a monument that chooses its own end. Dark Souls III serves as a reflective meta-commentary on a franchise that has exhausted its own cycle. It is rare for a series to be so honest about its legacy, asserting that the only way to honor itself is in the courage to finally let it go so that something new can be painted. A masterpiece that knows when to put down the brush.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Took me about 70 hours total to finally 100% this game, farming isn't so bad when you have 80+ luck with the most optimal setup. I probably wont ever touch this game AGAIN, IM SICK OF IT(I'll be back on in an hour). But fr, I LOVE this game and all the other Soul's born games; I even called off work for this game, I didn't go to school for this game, I STAYED UP FOR 2 DAYS STRAIGHT FOR THIS GAME, AND I REGRET NOTHING!!!! 10/10 game, HIGHLY RECCOMEND

Your path tested by yourself. Dont give up Brothers and sisters. This game gave more motivation for your living life. Don't be scared! Dont be afraid! Your true kind was at THIS GAME!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game really speaks to my soul (No pun intended, as my soul isnt dark and scary (not a racist remark, its just that i like to sleep with a nightlight because one time a ghost came into me (not in a sexual deviance manner, more like a phasmophobia-esque haunty spook that shivered my timbers (sometimes i use pirate slang because my mother suffers from scurvy - i also have 100 hours on sea of thieves, so stolen valour? Meesa dont think so.))))) Ignoring the elephant in the room (the elephant…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dark Souls III: FromSoftware's Best Souls Game TL;DR Dark Souls III is my favorite Souls game FromSoftware has made and, for me, the best entry in the trilogy. It combines deliberate combat and build variety with faster movement, phenomenal bosses, excellent level design, memorable environments, and some of FromSoftware's strongest music. It is not flawless. World progression is more linear than the original Dark Souls, a few areas are weaker than the rest, and some builds are better…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ive beaten this game at every stage of my life at this point, when it launched, then two years later, then again, and again, its one of few games i return to on a cycle without even really deciding to, i just find myself reinstalling it, and every time its different, not because the game changed but because i did, the first playthrough i was dying to everything, watching boss videos, a couple years later i was clearing the same bosses first or second try and noticing things in the level design…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hate this game JK, I just perfected the game It's a classic I mean it doesn't even matter what I'm gonna say However, a very great game, won't recommend it for casual players though Edit: Actually, I think I made a mistake So lemme fix it by talking more about the game I'm not much of a story guy, when I load up a game I just play like if I wanted a story in the first place I would've read a book or watched a show But as I was playing the game trying to get all the emotes and doing random…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good entry point for soul like games. It's easy enough and gives you an idea what the rest of the series is all about plus basically puts you on trail. If you like ds3 you're going to try bloodborne (ps4 exclusive) since a lot of things come from that game, if you hate ds3 then elden ring is your game. If you think ds3 was to fast then you can try the first game and the second one but that one is more challenging like kings field in 3rd person view. From here you can either try to finish…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a bad game, but a game with insane flaws. Dark Souls 3 is probably one of my favorite games of all time. I have put in a thousand hours across the Playstation version (way before I had a PC) and the Steam version. I'll start by saying that the Souls games are not for everyone. They are hard, sometimes unfairly so. They are also fairly buggy at times. You will die to stupid ♥♥♥♥ a million times. You will get annoyed. You will put the game down 12 times before you finish a full run…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Epic boss fights and art style. Personally my favorite part of the dark souls series as it has everything improved from the rest. Amazing game overall 9.6/10, And now give me your dark soul.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Insanely epic game. Gael and Friede were my favorite bosses
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game very difficult tho dont play this if you dont have much experience with video games or a lack of patience
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Some of the earlier Souls games had some sketchy level design here and there, but DkS III is just... consistently great. This is the Souls formula in its pure essence, the greatest hits with all killer and no filler. Replaying this after 10 years and it holds up so well. Amazing game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game for starters to the souls like genre and soulsborne games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I came back to this game 8 years after i first time played it, during that time, I played many of Souls-like games, but even after all that, DS3 still very hard and challengeable. And definitely harder than Elden Ring.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game with amazing combat, memorable bosses, and a beautiful dark world.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Personal Rating: Extremely Positive (95%) Okay, before the review, I just want you to know that I got Dark Souls 3 right after getting absolute whiplash in Dark Souls 1. At the start, I was very skeptical about this, as many people refer to this as ‘‘The Hardest Dark Souls‘‘. And while that might be true, DS3 honestly feels easier than DS1 to me, because you have much more control over your character in DS3. The fighting feels smooth, and there weren’t any questionable hitboxes yet. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is actually designed to make you face yourself. Every time a boss kills you, it asks a simple question: will you give up and quit, or will you stand up again and test your own patience? The graphics look great imo, and the gameplay is satisfying, although the walls can be a little annoying when your sword keeps hitting them. If you are impatient, can't handle trying the same thing multiple times, or are too lazy to run 5 kilometers back to the boss every time you die, dont buy this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like it sm! I think this game is a "cult masterpiece". One of the most RELAX and SKILL-BASED game I've ever play. Truly, if you haven't played it, you're missing out a lot! In this game you will find: cool dark fantasy atmosphere, unusual design and cool music (ESPECIALLY LOBBY)!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is unplayable on modern hardware. Constantly freezing for several seconds. EDIT: the solution was to go into task manager > details > right click DS3 > set affinity > disable core 0. It also sucks that there is no Steam cloud syncing so I have to copy over my save file from Appdata > roaming anytime I want to play on my other computer. EDIT 2: ♥♥♥♥ this laggy game. Won't buy the DLC nor any of the other Dark Souls games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Years later, DS3 is still amazing with its fun combat and beautiful scenery. Plenty of mods to make it even better too, like the ultrawide fix or seamless co-op. Was my most played game of 2025 regardless of all the other new games I played.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's the funny meme game that people like to compare other games to. Jokes aside, I'll be honest: GRAB A COPY of this game! WARNING: Contains minor spoilers. DARK SOULS III's combat is quick and responsive; each enemy presents a challenge without seeming outright unfair, no matter how it may seem at first! Even the lesser enemies are have some tricks up their sleeves, and if you're here for the narrative? Then DARK SOULS III has that in-spades. I love the atmosphere and world that DARK…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game as previous ones (i blink at second game), cool bosses and story but covenant items farming was a bit overwhelming, especially proofs and vertebras. Also had alot of fun with Zweihander like in good old times in DS1, but nearly endgame someone special for me start arguing with me about weapons, and recommend me other weapon than .. bad Zwei, like Murakumo, what has cool animations and i was enjoying that weapon too.
