unlabelledView post →So.. uh.. Daddy's Home 2 is kind of an ok Christmas movie. It does have Mel Gibson.. so that's a big strike but it somehow works. And the last scene was literally the biggest laugh I've had from a movie in a very long time.
unlabelledView post →It's Christmas movie marathon time with my buddy. Tonight's selections are Daddy's Home 2, Home Alone, Muppets Christmas Carol, and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Tonight's drink is egg nog with vodka and Kahlua.

I was hoping we could do one Advent Calendar run without it but I guess asking for that as well as no Jack Frost and Santa Clause was pushing it... Anyway, the film's fine. Done and dusted for another year. boxd.it/c0PNB9

unlabelledView post →Not really. He was good in Shrek and Rise of The Planet Of The Apes and even Daddy's Home 2. It was probably down to the writing and the direction. He's even been open about how much he hates this film...
unlabelledView post →I've seen Daddy's Home 2, and let me tell you - not only did God definitely not will it into being, the very existence of that movie is a compelling argument against the very existence of a benevolent, all-powerful being.
unlabelledView post →I've got Elf, Daddy's Home 2 and now Spirited. Last thing I need is another Christmas movie with Will Ferrell! We've already done Daddy's Home 2 and Spirited in the past week alone. Guaranteed Elf is gonna make an appearance in the next 9 days. It always has, it always will...
unlabelledView post →Elf is another film the Advent Calendar wheel will absolutely give us. This one almost always comes up. Fortunately, unlike Daddy's Home 2, this one is an actual Christmas gem so if it comes up, I have no objection...
unlabelledView post →While Daddy's Home 2 is a very mediocre Christmas movie at best, there's a sing-along at the end where the cast cover one of my favourite Christmas songs. Sure, it takes 90 bleh minutes to get there but the end of the film is a true delight for this music lover... www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdCn...
unlabelledView post →Daddy's Home 2, comedy movie. Got a bit serious with toxic masculinity on one side and toxic -positivity- on the other side. Fortunately a healthy 'middle' was found. Including the positive message of 'I love who I choose, even if they don't feel the same way, my feelings are not an obligation'.

unlabelledView post →Christmas Movie #7: Daddy's Home 2. This gets picked every fucking year. Christmas sequels to non-Christmas movies are never as good and this one is no exception. It's OK but it's not as good as the first movie, which was also average. Mel Gibson is great, the ending is fun, but that's about it...

unlabelledView post →#12: Daddy's Home 2 Never have I laughed harder at a movie than I did and continue to with this one every time I watch it. And while Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are always a good acting pair, this movie in my opinion would have not been as good as it is without Mel Gibson. He is HILARIOUS! 🤣

unlabelledView post →I didn't even remember watching the 1.5* original when I chose DADDY'S HOME 2 for my ODRWHDR. Objectively, I know this isn't a good film & 3/4 of the daddies are bad/horrible men, but I still ended up laughing a lot. Isn't that what Xmas comedies are all about? Fun new cameos & great soundtrack 3*

unlabelledView post →Christmas Movie #24: Elf. I'm pretty sure I saw this in theatres in 2003 and it's been a family tradition ever since. I swear, this comes up on the movie wheel every year, but unlike Daddy's Home 2, this is a genuine winner, unless of course you're not a Will Ferrell fan...

unlabelledView post →It's like Daddy's Home 2 is a hilarious, great, movie. Until the end when they all show support for a racist song 🤦♀️ They could've picked ANY Christmas song.
unlabelledView post →There is a Die Hard 2?? Sorry I'm always busy this time of year watching Daddy's Home 2 - that movie is awesome!!
unlabelledView post →Daddy's Home 2 is such an underrated Christmas film.
unlabelledView post →I'm not doing great with my Christmas movie viewings. So far, I've only watched Christmas Vacation, Four Christmases, Almost Christmas, This Christmas, Home Alone, The Preacher's Wife, Daddy's Home 2, and various holiday episodes of TV shows. I need to pick it up!
unlabelledView post →I have no rational explanation for why one of my most vivid movie-watching memories is a sparsely crowded screening of Daddy's Home 2 on opening weekend in Brea, CA. But I can wholeheartedly advise you to NOT watch this movie. 🫣
unlabelledView post →Not as good as the first. Still pretty funny. It would have been better without their dad's in in so much.
positive · AI labelView post →Like the first film, 'Daddy’s Home 2' is nothing special but isn't bad either. A fine watch, nothing more or less. The plot doesn't have nearly as many laughs as it needs, with that said there are a couple of decent bits - and some weird parts, particularly one at the end. Talking of the end, it's very cringe. Mark Wahlberg (Dusty) is probably the best onscreen, Will Ferrell (Brad) does well enough too. Mel Gibson (Kurt) and John Lithgow (Don) are two newcomers. Both have one or two moments,…
