Cult of Chucky
Confined to an asylum for the criminally insane for the past four years, Nica is wrongly convinced that she, not Chucky, murdered her entire family... until a string of grisly deaths occur after her psychiatrist introduces a new group therapy tool -- a "Good Guy" doll. From TMDB

Finally finished Cult of Chucky today and honestly for how many other horror series can you say the 7th film is possibly the most exciting and inventive? SO. GOOD. Onto my full S1-3 rewatch of the show!

Plus the movies keep getting gayer and gayer! Now @w1ndhund.bsky.social and I move on to Movie #9: CULT OF CHUCKY….. welcome back to some old friends.

Don Mancini (2017) Thank god Don Mancini got the "appeal to the haters" thing out of his system because this rules now that the series can be funny again. Top-heavy cast aside, I really enjoy all the new angles this film takes with Chucky. Score: 3.5/5

unlabelledView post →Cuse and Cult of Chucky - Two movies I'm excited to watch again. Catwoman: Hunted - A non-serialized narrative doesn't play to Greg Weisman's strengths. Wonky plot structure, could've been hornier. Birds of Prey - Very overrated. Feels like everyone wanted to like a women-led action movie.

unlabelledView post →Scary Movie Month #23: Cult of Chucky IDK, the twists of the actual horror movie are really fun. A 2016 movie setting itself in a mental institution while having a 1980s understanding of mental illness is not my favorite thing. Can't hate that ending though!

unlabelledView post →23. Cult of Chucky (Movie, 2017) Honestly, I was really into the direction for this movie the most out of all these movies. Some absolutely amazing composition and visuals. Felt like this one leaned too bleak, especially with Nica's life just being completely ruined. It's neat that Chucky wins
unlabelledView post →26th, Cult of Chucky Whew, we made it to the last Chucky movie (don't worry about that other one), and I can't say I enjoyed it as much as say Bride or the first two Child's Plays. I did only realize in this one the main actress is Brad Dourif's daughter, so that's fun 😅

I recently watched the entire Chucky film series with my friend @underalls.bsky.social, and despite its ups and downs it's an extremely fun series with an surprising commitment to continuity. unlabelledView post →Cult of Chucky (2017) I appreciate that it follows on directly from the previous film. It is more fun than the previous film with more stuff happening and great violence. It’s fairly similar to the previous film but they fixed it with far more Chucky. hellholehorror.wordpress.com/2026/03/12/c...
unlabelledView post →20. Cult of Chucky: Holy fucking shit... At least for the movies this was a PHENOMINAL way to end things off. The entire movie taking place mostly through a mental ward just added to the pure terror this movie brought. BUT TWO MOVIES IN A ROW WHERE CHUCKY ULTIMATELY WINS?! I need to start the show.
unlabelledView post →Cult of Chucky This movie has some really good cinematography, but I wasn't vibing with parts of it. The movie has a good gimmick, but the horror comedy didn't land as well as the older movies, IMO. It's still a solid watch, and the ending was a nice change of pace. 4/5

unlabelledView post →Cult of Chucky! All the style and class of Curse, but with much tighter pacing. Nica absolutely made this movie and Nica!Chucky is an instant classic amongst horror villains. My only big problem is the complete lack of am ending, it felt like two hours of setup for the show. Still loved it.
unlabelledView post →I gave Curse and Cult of Chucky 3.5/5 stars because of the serialized nature of the storytelling. Now that I know what happens after each movie I think I'll enjoy them more upon a rewatch.
unlabelledView post →Well, tonight is the last of the original Chucky movies, Cult of Chucky. I...MAY have seen this one. Not sure. But, yeah, I'm enjoying these and may end up watching the series. unlabelledView post →88) Cult of Chucky Works well as a follow up for the last movie, even with its dark ending it does have me curious as to where the show takes the series. Regardless, won't be watching that for now. Still, liked this movie and the setting it provided. It's really cool and one of the better films.
unlabelledView post →This Week's Movie: Cult of Chucky Not bad, but I do feel like this one was a little boring, though there was one really cool kill and the whole thing of Chucky being able to be in multiple dolls as once is interesting. Plus having Chucky work off of himself is funny. I may check out the TV show.
unlabelledView post →OK. Here goes. Cult of Chucky, the final film in the franchise, and one of two I hadn't seen before. I am sceptical but excited.

unlabelledView post →I think it's only fair to make two distinct lists: every Chucky film ranked from best to worst, but also, every Chucky film ranked by the cuteness of the Chucky once he's gone evil. Cult of Chucky simply has the latter on lock
unlabelledView post →Finally saw all the Chucky movies. Cult of Chucky is very much a movie "for the fans," which means it can run into the MCU Phase 4 problem of being hard to follow if you haven't seen the older films. Even so, it's still a solid slasher, and as somebody who just got done watching the whole series, the fanservice was a treat that had me eager to keep going with the TV show. unlabelledView post →My 2nd favorite out of the series. More chuckies to deal with and it's pretty funny and awesome. And the original Andy from the first 2 is back in this movie. Loved it!
positive · AI labelView post →Literally one of the worst films I've ever seen. I saw Child's Play 1 and 2 years ago and enjoyed them but skipped over the later movies. Watched this as I saw it had a great review somewhere online in those 'overlooked horror movie' lists. But wow. This was awful. I was angry with myself for watching until the end. Total garbage.
negative · AI labelView post →Kind of shits the bed in terms of the Child's Play mythos, and looks as cheap as it is, but it's always a good time watching Chucky do his thing. Final rating:★★ - Had some things that appeal to me, but a poor finished product.
