60 of 75 · most liked first94. Creed III The second best Creed movie. And I have my issues with the pace of some plot beats, but once we start training for that final fight? I'm locked the fuck in. I'm not kidding, MBJ admitted a good chunk of the final fight was inspired DIRECTLY by Naruto and I'm kneeling SO hard.

Jordan would turn the "what if sports movie took all its cinematographic language from anime?" movie into a "what if anime took all *it's* visual vocabulary from sports movie that already spoke fluent anime?". It would just be a fun experiment to watch

unlabelledView post →I'm pretty sure I was in a theater watching CREED III when the news/truth about him broke so I walked out of the movie thinking "Majors is one of the our greatest new stars!" and then an hour or two later knew it was the last movie I'd ever see him in.

Little uncertain, the Rocky movies are certainly much weirder, and 1 & 2 in particular have a quirked out charm to them. The boxing itself is just really good here tho.

unlabelledView post →Creed III When people say the fights in this movie are inspired by anime, they definitely weren't exaggerating. Probably the most dynamic camera work in this trilogy. Unfortunately seems like they were also inspired by characters not talking to each other to drive tension. Solid movie regardless
unlabelledView post →61. Creed III (2023) Tell, don't show issues aside, this was such a fun movie. I desperately need to see Michael B. Jordan direct more movies, because this does so much cool visual shit I never would've conceived of seeing in the other 2.

The movie just feels boring to watch and for being the ninth movie in this franchise it definitely shows, and this is the only movie where Stallone wasn’t not in it and it makes it less enjoyable.

unlabelledView post →Creed III Pretty strong directorial debut from Michael B. Jordan here. The first film in this sequel series where Adonis feels like he's come fully out from his father's shadow. Dame's history with him though feels a tad undercooked, but still good overall. 8.5/10

I can say, without fear of contradiction, that Creed III is a film which passes some amount of time, such as that required while downloading a big game. It didn't really leave much of an impression beyond that tbh.

unlabelledView post →Creed III directed by Michael B. Jordan; starring Michael B. Jordan, Jonathan Majors; written by Keenan Coogler, Ryan Coogler and Zach Baylin Adonis Creed must come out of retirement and face his past when an old friend just released from prison challenges him. Skillfully crafted but has none of the emotional impact of the franchise’s best as it follows an outdated formula and a plot relying on drama that is at best tepid. Rating: E+ #CreedIII #MovieReview #Movies

unlabelledView post →This Week's Movie: Creed III Pretty good. Had great some emotional moments, but I do think I'd put it at the bottom of the trilogy. Mostly since the final fight was way too short. Like I get they were trying to be artsy with it, but I think suddenly cutting from round 3 to round 11 hurt it.
unlabelledView post →Well you gotta address it at some point so might as well do it in your second film to get it over with. And I know everyone calls Creed III anime as fuck but II’s plot is almost equally anime in my opinion.

Georgia isn’t NY or LA. Volume work and CG in a film like CREED III, where athleticism is the point, adds up.

unlabelledView post →CREED II is deeply redundant, but I wonder if more people now realize that CREED III is not a good movie at all. Adonis is a character with no friends, no real bench of characters that make him interesting at all. By III he's just an urelatable rich guy.
