positive · AI labelView post →I had a great day in London at the poliziotteschi event 🙌🏻 I guessed three of the movies correctly, and the other two came as a welcome suprise 😃 Contraband Live Like a Cop, Die Like a Man The Big Racket The Heroin Busters The fifth movie I'll quote with this post as it was the highlight for me 📽🇮🇹🤌🏻
neutral · AI labelView post →Picking a random film from my collection to show off for no real reason! Year 2, Day #60 "Contraband" (Lucio Fulci/1980) Fulci does a Eurocrime film the way he knows how, sleazy and ultra-violent. It's damn good, you should go check it out!
positive · AI labelView post →The theatre/cinema has dropped clues as to whats being shown tomorrow. I'm 99% sure I know 3 of them but here's my guesses... Contraband Violent Rome Almost Human The Heroin Busters Milano Calibro 9 If I'm right that's one hell of a line up 🇮🇹📽🤌🏻
neutral · AI labelView post →Best picture quality I’ve ever seen of ‘Contraband’ (1940), my 5th favourite Powell & Pressburger film, on YT. No UK DVD release (and the international copies are rare and damn expensive) so feel morally justified posting this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLLl...

Available at both diabolikdvd.com & @cauldron_films diabolikdvd.com/product/cont... #physicalmediaadvocates #fulcilivesfilmweek #fulci #contraband #diabolikdvd #cauldronfilms
neutral · AI labelView post →#NowWatching Contraband (1980) Italian smuggling gangs in Naples get upset with each other. A brutal film by Lucio Fulci
neutral · AI labelView post →Lucio Fulci didn't just make gory horror movies -- join me today as we cover the Godfather of Gore's splattery Poliziotteschi flick, Contraband! @CauldronFilms knocked it out of the park Likes, shares, & subs appreciated! 100k in 2024? Fingers crossed...
positive · AI labelView post →Somebody needs to take his TV away or simply make sure it only shows Faux news. I wonder what movie he was watching that put the drug cartels on his mind again. Maybe he was watching Contraband seized at the border.
neutral · AI labelView post →I was just about to recommend another Powell & Pressburger film, I Know Where I’m Going (which has just been rereleased) and I second all of this! P&P’s other film with the wonderful Veidt, Contraband, is also great.
positive · AI labelView post →First time watch. I think it is the last Powell and Pressburger film I have left to see, other than Contraband.
neutral · AI labelView post →Weekend pickups. That’s the Lucio Fulci poliziotteschi/Eurocrime film Contraband, not the Mark Wahlberg one. #PhysicalMedia
neutral · AI labelView post →#nowwatching Contraband (1980). Fulci's only crime film, released the same year as City of the Living Dead. It'll be interesting to see him trying a new genre, especially when he was in the middle of his most fertile horror work.
neutral · AI labelView post →The film Contraband was remade in 2012 as a new film called Contraband! The remake is about a man who sometimes lifts up his t-shirt during the day and sometimes lifts up his t-shirt at night. It was a financial disaster because everyone was too busy watching the original version of Contraband.
positive · AI labelView post →My ★★★ review of Contraband on @letterboxd: boxd.it/38rr95
neutral · AI labelView post →Film 047 for '26 ▶️ Someone is muscling in on the two brothers' cigarette smuggling into Italy at Naples. The police is tipped off, then Mickey's stable burns down, then the killing etc. starts. Luca responds: #NowWatching "Contraband" (1980) #Film #PhysicalMedia #Bluray
neutral · AI labelView post →Cinema icons Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger (also know as ‘The Archers’) are the creative duo behind this weeks movie CONTRABAND, but what’s your favourite Powell & Pressburger film? Hear more in our CONTRABAND review: pod.fo/e/2ecccd
neutral · AI labelView post →I seem to have become unhealthily interested in the film Contraband but particularly the moment immortalised in the DVD cover. I even managed to find a screenshot of that moment from the film and present it here as a side-to-side comparison. I've never seen the film Contraband.
neutral · AI labelView post →It’s great – and one of the things I loved is the scene where they’re navigating London streets in the blackout. I’m not sure I’ve seen another film that represents what that was like. I agree, ‘Contraband’ – and every P&P film – should be lovingly restored and given a blu-ray release!
positive · AI labelView post →I don't know why 'Jim Traficant' is such a funny name for a crime guy. Like if you were writing a mob movie and named a guy Larry Contraband or Tony Smuggletown.
neutral · AI labelView post →Is am just about to see a Powell and Pressburger film which I've not yet seen (Contraband) Younger viewers may be puzzled by a UK government which is resolutely anti fascist.
neutral · AI labelView post →Contraband (1980) kind of rules because it's such a bog standard crime film elevated a good deal by its psychotic levels of gore, lol.
positive · AI labelView post →I wrote a film review for Baltasar Kormákur's crime drama Contraband (2012) starring Mark Wahlberg, Kate Beckinsale, Ben Foster, Giovanni Ribisi, Caleb Landry Jones, Diego Luna, & J.K. Simmons. boxd.it/eldjsl
neutral · AI labelView post →I really enjoyed the crime drama Contraband (2012). I think it’s actually an underrated Mark Wahlberg movie, where he pulls offs heists and smuggling jobs. Wahlberg plays it cool and clever. Ben Foster & Giovanni Ribisi are fantastic in this too.
positive · AI labelView post →It's a fairly by the number cops vs smugglers story but it is elevated by a serious dose of ultraviolence. Sort of like Lucio Fulci's film, Contraband...
neutral · AI labelView post →Fulci's Contraband is a Violent Gangster Movie Cult Classic! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5I0_SBObAgs&ab_channel=TheHorrorGeek #TheHorrorGeek #MikeBracken #SickFlicks #Contraband #LucioFulci #MutantFam
neutral · AI labelView post →Contraband is good, a very violent gangster film. Only crime film he directed but you already probably know that... If you can't find it online and don't want to pay a fortune for Blu-ray, DM me coz maybe I can help...
positive · AI labelView post →Now beginning: Contraband (1980) At his height, my guy Lucio Fulci decided to make a politziotteschi This is a gore movie disguised as a crime movie - has a cliff kill to rival his best.
neutral · AI labelView post →Here is some information about the film Contraband. "In the second week of a ten-week shooting schedule, the production exhausted its budget and received funding from real life smugglers in Naples. The smugglers also made changes to the plot and title of the film." So that's Contraband.
neutral · AI labelView post →Is this a documentary about the making of the film Contraband? If it isn't, I'm afraid I'm not interested. The only film I'm watching from this point forward is the film Contraband or documentary films about the making of the film Contraband. But thank you anyway.
neutral · AI labelView post →Jaw-dropping, for sure. Went in expecting maybe Contraband after you ruled out Macumba Sexual, so this was a surprise. Glad to check a rare film off the Franco list, but also flabbergasted to the core. 😮!

The Bayou where he supposedly buried his treasure is still called Contraband Bayou His story is told in many movies, including the one I am watching this morning, The Buccaneer, with Charleton Heston as Jackson

I google to see if I can find a picture for a friend who'd like it and see...Fabio Testi out on the town in the same coat. Motherfucker stole it from set.

neutral · AI labelView post →The most realistic dialogue I’ve ever heard in a movie is from Contraband when Marky Mark’s partner says “tell my wife” and Mark goes “will you shut the fuck up, I’m not telling your wife shit”
positive · AI labelView post →There’s a movie on Netflix from 2012 called Contraband. It has an absolutely stacked cast, yet somehow I’ve never even heard of it.
