2017 was such a ridiculous year for movies, i don’t think it gets talked about nearly as much as it should. it honestly doesn’t get much better than: Get Out Lady Bird Phantom Thread Dunkirk Good Time Blade Runner 2049 War for the Planet of the Apes Call Me by Your Name Coco
An 81% on Rotten Tomatoes is solid, showing critics are generally loving it. And if GOAT is on track to have the biggest domestic opening for an original animated film since COCO (2017), that’s huge
Coco (2017) builds so beautifully that by the time the final “Remember Me” plays, it just wrecks you. Pixar’s team made multiple research trips to Mexico to ground the film in authentic Día de los Muertos traditions.
