I do not agree with the obligation to constantly check what you have changed in the contract. and it's completely crazy that I have to keep checking, and it's my duty to keep track of what you've changed in the contract, otherwise I automatically agree to it. Is gaming supposed to be my job? How dare you make such changes without any information about it. "13. Updates to…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Huge player of Cities in Motion 1/2. I still play both of them to this day. Cities in Motion 2's city building elements were basically a prototype for Cities Skylines. The look and feel are very similar (of course CiM2 didn't really have city-building management layer, just public transit).
unlabelledView post →Contrary to many reviews, this is a fun, enjoyable game for building urban transportation systems. But the original Cities in Motion was better, even though it was *very* limited, and had numerous technical problems and simplifications that this game improved on, for one simple reason: The cities in this game have no soul. In the original Cities in Motion, you felt like you were in a living, breathing city, with some history and presence. Its versions of Berlin, Vienna, London, etc are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too easy. 1. Tak a huge loan 2. Build a metro 3. Win a game. If you want to make with buses or trams, it's not working. Moreover if you want to make metro and add trams, you can but the it's hard to feel a difference, Big potential, badly lost in simple mechanic
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mixed. More transportation management than city builder, it is an average sim with an unintuitive interface. Maybe when it was first released it was considered good, but it has not aged well. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game saved my life. I am 43. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and adopted our son together. They are now both 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I found myself lost and miserable. I was self destructive. I got so mad one day from everything spiralling out of my control that I punched some concrete in a moment of overwhelming emotion. That caused me to break my 5th metacarpal in my right hand... my working hand... my games hand.. the hand that I held and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got bored and started bulldozing buildings and roads. Personally isn't for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has so much potential but it should be called "Cities in Gridlock". If you have trams, busses or trolley busses eventually you will get to a point where everything just stops moving due to the amount of people crossing the road. You will then get a message saying last departure missed as everything is stuck in one place. If you have built a network across the city this can affect several lines. Another annoying thing is the price adjustment, every 5 minutes the ticket prices are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cannot recommend for $20 with Cities Skylines available for a similar price from the same company.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the genre, but this game's controls and mechanics make it unplayable for me. I tried 2-3 times and every time I start with some new hope I get to like this game, I fail :]
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The 'odd' thing is that the later build Cities Skylines has a much better toolset to analyse traffic density and flow. It could be me, but after 11 hours playing I am still just struggling to determine what lines to build to get a good flow. In the end, I felt there were no highlights to be enjoyed, even though the premise does interest me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cities in Motion 2: A Bumpy Ride for Your Transit Network 🚍💥 Cities in Motion 2 promises to be a deeper dive into the world of mass transit, but unfortunately, it stumbles in a few key areas that make the experience more frustrating than fun. While the game introduces some new features like multiplayer modes and dynamic cities, these additions feel more like distractions than meaningful improvements. 😕🛑 The core of the game is about building and managing a transportation network, but the…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game makes you question “Why is my entire city stuck behind ONE bus?!” So you boot up Cities in Motion 2 thinking you’re gonna casually draw some cute lines and boom—perfect transport empire. Nope. This game grabs your hand, slaps it, and goes: “Place. Every. Single. Stop. Individually. You lazy gremlin.” You don’t build a network here—you babysit it like it owes you money. Every stop, every line, every tweak… micromanagement level: corporate middle manager with trust issues. You want a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game in theory could be awesome, but the frequent freezing, the depots being to small to allow frequent routes, the fact that my viechles can create traffic jams so easily... really ruin the experience for me
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first game was a charming transport tycoon type game with a ton of character and delightful real-world cities and time periods. This stripped away all of that in favour of half-baked city growth mechanics, and was absolutely just a test bed for Cities: Skylines. If you want a city builder, this is extremely mediocre. Get C:S instead. If you want a transport company sim, this is extremely mediocre, get CiM1 too. You won't regret it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A disappointment but can be salvaged Out of the box CiM2 is a frustratingly mediocre game. It is better at simulating city transport than the first Cities in Motion and yet arguably it's worse as a game. It's better at the former mainly because of the addition of timetables but it feels less polished and lost most of the charm of the first game. Unlike in CiM1 there is no era progression. CiM2 is modern times only and looks quite bland. Gameplay Timetabling is the standout feature of the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a 45 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my Son, who is 14 now. My son got this game for Christmas in 2021 from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So i decided to make a Steam account and get…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The performance is better than CIM1. CIM2 does not use as much computer and graphic resources as CIM1. But it is too complex for casual players. I don't like the trams returning to depots after one round. This is silly. Secondly, it is too complex. I love the fact that you can build roads, and the city grows, and that you can do curves the way you want to. But the depot, the complexity and overly poor interface prevents me from enjoying this game. CIM1 is much simpler in this, and thus is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2 and a half hours. Couldn't build a single metro track since it won't connect back to the depot. Couldn't finish the tutorial. Filtered hard.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Im addicted to this game, as you can tell, so my opinion might be swayed. People keep comparing it to C:S, and that is unfair. 1. They are different genres, CIM2 is a transport tycoon thingy, but C:S is a city builder. 2. More importantly, CIM2 is quite older than C:S. As time goes on, games evolve, and if CIM2 was released after C:S, it would be on the same level. I hate reading through reviews, and seeing half of them not recommended, just because C:S has a better feel. It is stupid. You…

Actual city planning is less tedious than this. Boring, not intuitive, and gooooood luck if if you try to build a tram line. Having not played the other games in the series, this feels like a game made by someone who doesn't know how to make games. It's just not fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Please note that the developer of this game went on to create Cities: Skylines, so it is very much suggested that you skip over this and go straight to that.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This could be a good game, it has potential, but without updates for years now, the game has many bugs and glitches, sometimes even crashes. All of my sandbox saves are slowly going corrupt, by the terrain just slowly going deeper ito the void, thus slowly getting rid of buildings and making you, going bankrupt eventually. This is a mess, it bearly runs, it's old and outdated, don't buy it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I only played this game in 2022 and I have to say I liked it. All in all it's what the game promises to be. That said, a couple of flaws: - The variety of vehicles is rather limited (3 buses, 2 boats, 3 trams...). Could have done with some more choices - The popularity rating is useless. If it has an impact on anything, I wouldn't know. But I finished the game with 0% and I can't say it bothered me - Ticket inspectors are god-like. It doesn't matter how many you hire (at some point I had 500),…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cities in Motion 2 is an improvement in some areas, but it still manages to be incredibly frustrating. The game has a lot of systems to manage, yet the interface and controls make those systems far more annoying than they need to be. Traffic management is one of the biggest problems. Vehicles constantly get caught in traffic, public transport can become completely unreliable, and routes that look perfectly reasonable on paper can quickly turn into a disaster. There is a lot of micromanagement…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Same! I could not play it for four days (I was in college), put it down, and did not touch it again. $60 down the drain. Cities in Motion 2 was literally "our previous game, but on Unity so we can get ready to build a full city builder" and then Paradox was like 'lmao we will never beat SimCity'
unlabelledView post →A buggy, broken imposter of the original.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So.. 4 hours in and I still can't make money properly. I can't decide if it because I suck or the game is just being randomly annoying.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very very addictive. But please dont buy this, if you arent ready to adjust the ticket pricing a million times while playing. This would have been marvellous if not for the micromanagement involved. But maybe thats the point.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The graphics are so bad I couldn't even make it through the tutorial - clicking on the Bus Depot to add it to the route kept going around in circles. Never a good start, and also the navigation was just painful. Unsure why there's a lot of love for this game - it's highly muddled and a lesson in how not to do UX. Sure it's old - maybe that's the excuse...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cities in Motion 2, like the first Cities in Motion, is not a city building game like Sim City. It's a transit route building game, more like a pathing puzzle game than a city tycoon game. Take Sim City and remove all the gameplay except placing bus stops and train stations, and you have Cities in Motion. The upside to Cities in Motion 2 is that it does have 4K support, unlike the version this obsoletes. Unfortunately despite being made in 2013, the developers never heard about DPI scaling…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Inferior to Cities in Motion 1 in basically every way. ESPECIALLY trains.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game for free and decided to give it a chance. Unfortunately it isn't my cup of tea. It is extremely boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Downvoting since it's Paradox game and they give no ♥♥♥♥ about breaking Prison Architect and not planning to do any emergency fixes
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In case you're wonding about the sudden negative ratings: A moderator on the Hearts of Iron IV Discord had an argument with and subsequentially banned a Turkish user that had an avatar of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, which then got picked up by some media as Paradox isulting Atatürk. Yes, it's really that dumb. And it has nothing to do with either the developers, nor the quality of this game at all. It's all about the Publisher. People reviewbombing every game of a publisher over Discord drama…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recent controversies surrounding Paradox have changed how I see the company. I overlooked questionable decisions for years because I enjoyed some of their games, but the pattern is becoming harder to ignore. Cities in Motion 2 is a pretty mediocre game, and this negative review also reflects how I feel about the company behind it. At this point, I don’t feel comfortable supporting Paradox financially anymore.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →hypocritical racists
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would reccomend it a lot! It doesn't have genocide of armenians like the turks had with attaturk!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i destroyed 20 buildings to make one elevated train line, the population of the city was knocked down by atleast 1500 people. i love displacing people and forcing them to be homeless because my failing subway needs expansion with the 2 morbillion loans i have (which is at like 2000% interest rn)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The camera action is so bad that the game freezes whenever I try to rotate or tilt it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was ahead of its time. Nowadays of course there are better alternatives but it is still very nice and nostalgic to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simulates public transport in more detail than any other such game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No game will get a good review from Paradox, because they are liars and literally began to steal money on promises for players.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the only game which does urban public transportation. it's aging, but still fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cities in Motion 2 Is a city builder simulation with management focused on transports. You have a few means of transportation availble: Busses, trolleys, trams, waterbuses and trains. The game is designed towards taking loans and with different transportation being better than other. Trains are the best and trams follow a bit behind while the others aren't nearly as good with profit. The Good Stunning visuals and simple easy to learn gameplay overall. While it isn't great the game has a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not quite what I thought it was, but that's on me for not doing more research. If you enjoy working out transit systems for cities, then this is for you. I should state that this game is NOT like Cities Skylines. The cities are prebuilt, and your job is to set up busses, underground metros, taxi services and train lines for the city.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Disappointing. Seems great in theory, but it's oddly difficult to make lines profitable at all, let alone profitable enough to make a meaningful amount of money. I've spent hours trying different strategies and made very little progress. It's too frustrating for it to be worth spending any more time on.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Trains are nice and all that, but very, very boring
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →first one is way better in my opinion 4/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommended, but not the best. Sadly it is abandoned. And they are not going to ever make a sequel because Cities Skylines got so big and popular this game was left in the dirt. These type of games are bascially dead genre already. But it is fun on Sale, with the first game as well
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Make the america great again
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah this isn't a game I've enjoyed and definately regret buying.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game that could have been! Fatal bugs which the developer never addressed or assisted players with (refer to forums). Seriously avoid this game. It is sad, as this game had so much potential after CIM1!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →İt's a not good game without DLC's. Booring
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Developing tons of historical games couldn't help you learn history, maybe destroying your company for biased discord mods will teach you history, not the past but future will be a great teacher for you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is absolutely unacceptable. Banning someone for using a photo of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and then justifying it by calling him a “fascist” is not moderation. It is a political judgment being enforced as if it were an objective fact. What is even worse is banning everyone who objects to that decision. That is not community management. That is silencing disagreement. Atatürk is the founder of the Republic of Turkey and one of the most important figures in Turkish history. Your games also…
