53 of 53 · most liked firstIt is hard for me to recommend this game. I love desktop defender. I Started both games at the same time and in Desktop Defender I am LVL 272. I am still on LVL 15 in Card corner. I do not know what I am doing wrong and it seems the game has no plans to tell me... or else... this is the full experience. If so - yawn. I am hoping it gets updated or they add some guides because nothing makes sense. Maybe I am dumb tho. Either way, not fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just like Destop Defender, bought on launch and it's already a great thing to have in the background with other games running! love the fact that both game windows snap together, love the minimal input required, pretty damn satisfying to watch! worth the couple bucks, keeps my brain occupied!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Initial gameplay has a bit of novelty, but it quickly gets ruined by extremely poor content pacing and numerical design. Most of the progression rewards feel like filler, level rewards are almost meaningless, and the price gaps between facilities are absurdly large. The overall progression curve feels very disjointed. I pushed through to level 100, expecting to finally see the so-called “endgame content.” What I got instead was the worst crafting system in the entire game. You can only place…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Way too repetitive and grindy, the endgame is just pure hell, can't recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is fine, it's very pretty to look at but I don't think it's that different from other idle games There's a deck; you can remove and add cards, but you're not really playing it, so the point is making a deck that guarantees you certain hands and leveling up those hands Either that or doing nothing/Adding every card possible and letting momentum carry you Game does what it needs to do; it looks nice in the corner of your screen, and it's engaging enough That said, right now I'm really…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gambling or poker doesn't really work (for me) if you have no active interaction with the game itself. It's just a reskinned idle game with a slightly inconsistent income, but without the satisfaction of playing cards and taking risks on draws.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →best 6 euros spent, got the bundle with the other game 2 days ago, spent 22 hours already in the background, amazing little distraction to keep my dopamine ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Similar to Desktop Defender, this is also quite a great game! You can even snap the 2 game windows together if you choose to play both at once. The progression is fair and you can play with an active or idle style without much trouble. The developer has went through a lot of work listening to feedback and making patches throughout the first week, and has continued to improve the game since release as of this posting. Hopefully one day the loot drop mechanics are improved since that is where…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool game ngl (every gamblers dream) I can watch some videos while playing it too so great job guys
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Could have been great if it wasn't 99% of it that idle unity asset all these games use. Super bad, unclear and more.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game to let run in background, give it some time and it will make sense
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Constant... Balatro...🤤
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a ridiculous grind. It is slow in every way, has little QoL features, and does not have depth until hundreds of hours in when you can build/combine accessories. There is a 'correct' build late game so it does not encourage different playstyles and in late game you can have it running for hundreds of hours until ascending to get a .5% boost.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's good to idle on, have on in the background (you can change whether or not it stays on top of your other windows), or even include with your other activities if you enjoy multitasking. Achievements are easy enough, given time, and there are a lot more (many I don't even have yet at the time of writing) than Desktop Defender has. Pairs well with Desktop Defender and a desktop pet.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too repetitive just pure idle and repeat
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Card Corner, developed by Conradical Games and published by Assemble Entertainment, is an unusual blend of incremental gameplay and card-based strategy designed specifically to coexist with the player’s everyday computer activities. Rather than presenting itself as a full-screen game demanding constant attention, it is built to run in a small corner of the desktop while players work, browse the internet, or play other titles. This concept immediately sets it apart from most traditional card…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like gambling
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like Card Corner. I think it's a fun little idle game that feels satisfying to progress in. However, I like Desktop Defender a whole lot more. The upgrades in that game are actually something you can visualize and understand easily, while I still don't understand the upgrades in this game. It's still a fun gameplay loop though.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →all my progress got restarted after 80 hours playing, and i got to lvl 70 something :( and had a 8m mult on

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far I have really liked the game and I find it a good side thing with a other task, But I don't know if its me being dumb but I with there was more of an explanation about the money system. I see all the numbers but I don't fully understand it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyable game that can be run in the background. Start the game, check back later, make progess.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it fuelled my boredom
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty cool idle game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its so addictive and its perfect for low cortisole gaming trust
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun little game to kill some time while doing other tasks. It can also connect with Desktop Defender on your desktop. My only pet peeve is that when you do this and have your settings cranked low, the backgrounds of both games don't match 1:1. If the checker pattern can be realigned in one of these games, that would be much appreciated, especially as someone with OCD. Edit - Reference image: https://imgur.com/a/XQeMcVt
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Goes great with desktop defender!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its much harder to "feel" the progression in this game compared to desktop defender as much as I didnt use burst mode in desktop defender I think this game should have it as an option as-well
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it tickles my brain. Approved
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yes. I have put no time into this. Yes this is worth your time and money. Yes I will be playing more of this and by me I mean the game will be playing itself. I found the dev from desktop defender and really seems silly... but number go up make happy chemicals in brain sooo... yea.. and for the price... I can't even buy a coffee for this price. Message to the dev... keep going!

unlabelledView post →The resetting loop is dedious and repetitive, there are better idle games out there.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: Skip this and play Desktop Defender (the dev's previous game) I genuinely want to enjoy this game, but it has been abandoned and there are too many issues to have a reliably enjoyable time. The dev's previous game, Desktop Defenders, was similar to this at first, BUT it was updated constantly and has loads of QoL features that make it tons better. It's surprising that this game doesn't have any of the QoL features from DD. The game is cheap so you do you, but don't get your hopes up.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love to leave this playing while watching anime.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very good game works well with desktop defender both very cheap both cheaper than minimum wage where i live and thats great
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I Enjoy keeping this neat little idle game open while i'm watching something, during breaks i simply do my upgrades, ancensions and such, as an idle game you aren't really meant to be sat staring at it every second and this really is all i enjoy about such, same with your desktop defender game. it takes away my stupidity to sink 12 hours into a video game when i should be touching grass, in result this lets me do just that and get some form of satisfaction that i trained my brain for a few…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →they made desktop defender cooler
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They updated the game for a week and then gave up. They promised a new update on march 18th and nothing new has come out and no updates have happened, I previously posted a positive review under the pretense that updates fixing the games main issues would be coming but I can no longer reccomend the game for the price in it's current state if updates are not being maintained. Many promised features have been abandoned and the game feels extremely unfinished.
