positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just make it free and load it with costly cosmetics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is dead and abandoned. --- Unless you bring your own friends, don't expect to find random people to play with. I've spent several hours over a couple of days waiting to find games and all I've seen are a couple of premade groups that were already full. In 10 hours across a couple of days I didn't once find anyone to play with. Number of people online ranges from 0 to 6 and those 6 play together in groups of 2 or 4. Also there's been no updates to this Early Access game in over a…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another forsaken multiplayer-online early-access indie project lost to the sands of Steam. Here's to a brighter future of active players, deeper tutorials, and hopefully a campaign, in this game or the next.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't buy this game it has no players, there is no offline feature. The developers have acknowledged that the game is no longer being developed. Nothing more to say.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4 years in early access with 0 patches, only to get a “we are no longer in EA and ending development” on the 1st of april. Jokes on you, there were no people playing for ages, and this game is a multiplayer only title. I have no idea how this game came from a studio that can make actually good games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dead and abandoned. Pity, it had great music and it looked promising.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has good gameplay, unfortunately the game is dead, no one to play online with. No update in 2 years, and there won't be new ones. unfortnuately i don't reccomend this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Never even received a single update. What a farce.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Totally online and totally dead game. Don't know if it's any good, just tried it today while going through my backlog. Don't bother.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A dead multiplayer game with no bots. Do not buy!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nobody plays the game no more and game is abandoned by developers don't buy it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks fun but zero person playing. The price is pretty cheap so maybe adding bots might be a solution. But even devs don't care about this game sooo..avoid. <번역> 재미는 있어보이는데 하는 사람이 읎다. 가격은 싸서 봇전이라도 돌릴수 있으면 될거같은데 개발진도 이제 신경 안쓰는거같으니...사지마세용~
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is currently in the Humble Bundle for March 2021. If you are interested in the game and it's before April 6th, 2021, consider picking up the game as part of the current monthly bundle. After an playing an hour to review for the Humble Choice March 2021 Bundle: Thank you Humble, you made this month’s worst list easy. And Frozenbyte, I liked Trine 4 last month, I’m taking back all the credit I gave you last month. This is a multiplayer game that isn’t just a low player count. It’s…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun gameplay, easily earnable and seemingly reasonable in game and unique loot such as varying types of weapons and armor that can be bought and sold on the marketplace also reasonably (at least when playing at the time of the first EA release) A lot of potential for growth with additional modes, items, perhaps moves/fighting styles or finishers etc. Issue is player base is little to none but many enjoy/enjoyed the game upon first release in Early Access. Recent sale may help, or perhaps…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No one plays this, and it's been in EA for over 4 years. It shouldn't even be sold anymore. === tried again in 2025 === Huh EA has been dropped, but right now 2 people are playing, and I can't find a match.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall, the gameplay is incredibly solid, with controls being simple and easy to grasp, and a combat system that is as enjoyable as it is intricate. Despite the (relative) complexity of the combat, it is incredibly easy to learn with a high skill ceiling. Unfortunately, the game seems to have been abandoned by developers for the time being, and the online servers have more or less died off. It being abandonware is the sole reason for the negative review, and overall I highly recommend the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While Boreal Blade shows promise with its cartoony graphics and For Honor looking gameplay, the lack of any playerbase and no updates since this game came out over two years ago render this game a huge waste of money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is dead. no offline, no players apparently, basically unplayable, might try to trick a friend into playing a duel because there's no other way to fight. devs need to do a bit of work on it, make it free and get some publicity, because no one will play otherwise.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely noone online to play with. So dont buy it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →PvP only game with no other players to play against... That's a fat no from me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe this game would be fun if it wasn't dead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's dead, 2 years... No updates. Devs acknowledge they're not going to update it anytime soon and just leave it up, even put it on sale to trick fools like me into trying to play even a single match. Has promise I guess but, it will never come to fruition. Should be removed from steam.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dead game, no bots to play by yourself basically, not worth it anymore.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandoned game with no pop
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good dueling game, but I can't in good conscious recommend this game as it only has multiplayer content, and the player base isn't active, if it was I would say this game is well worth the price and learning curve.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →-Quick Review- Boreal Blade is a team-based melee fighting game, released on Steam in 2020, and released on the Switch in 2019. Boreal Blade was developed by the beloved Indie developer Frozenbyte known mostly for their Trine Games. Unfortunately the community is basically dead, so if you want to play this game you should anticipate picking up extra copies of the game to send to your friends. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's dead Jim! Such a pity, this game had promise. Don't buy it because there is no one to play with. I got it free via Humble Bundle... (no wonder). Seriously someone should rip this game off, and repost it F2P with cosmetics cash shop.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game sounds great, premise has potential....but no player base. Started game, finished tutorial, found only 1 game. Other player has a spear (lvl 16+), player proceeds to totally whoop me given the obvious experience difference (I've literally played 1 minute), then boasts about his 200+ IQ. Tried to find another game to learn...it's just that one game. So unless the player base gets more numerous, this game is sadly stuck.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Being by a developer I actually respect, it leaves an even more sour taste in my mouth jumping into this dead PvP melee combat game. I was fortunate enough, to witness two players, or perhaps even ghosts, playing a match which was almost finished. Neither player continued playing, I'm fairly certain, as I sat patiently trying to match. Instead, I eventually played/read through the tutorial. I was confused by the level of charm and effort on display, and how quickly it disappeared, opting…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →who releases a game ...gets a ton of positive reviews.. and never posts again after the day they released it? its a fun game especially with friends but with no updates not enough people are online to play with. ad an offline mode.. even a post letting up know youve abandoned it would be better than this. edit: please put like a week into this game and do a minor update. its still has so much potteennttiiiaalll
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GREAT BUT DEAD Boreal Blade is a team-based melee fighting game, similar to Chivalry and Mordhau. If you like that style of games, you'll love Boreal Blade. It's clunkier (because it was never finished) than the "bigger" brothers, but still extremely entertaining. Unfortunately, the game is abandoned. No player base, and no support from developers. Going free-to-play could help, but it will probably never happen. Right now, the only way to play the game is to beg your friends to buy it and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun game but there's almost no lobbies and no way to play against A.I. It's pretty much impossible to find a fight or even practice unless you have friends who also play the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Early Access Abandonware. Throwing the sword is pretty cool.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Couldn't really test it since I couldn't find a lobby. Tutorial seemed good, albeit with a few unfortunate spelling mistakes in the Battle Master section. The game, if it had a playerbase, would be good. Visuals are great. The rest are some small changes that I think would help. Training hall should just let you pick all the weapons so you can test them out, instead of a few swords, 1 shield, and 1 spear. I don't know why the shield is there, I don't think I could interact with any of the npcs…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's interesting things about this game with a potentially deep combat system. It's just too bad there's 0 players and no campaign or story mode so you can't test the swordplay (or any part of the game, for that matter) out. The devs are really irresponsible for calling this a finished product instead of building out a campaign and charging a normal price tag. As is, the game is worth a price tag of ZERO because there's nothing to do.

unlabelledView post →i bought all of my friends this game for 99 cents and such a fun silly concept the game could have been good if there was a bot option so you can actually farm i t but we all played it drunk for 2 hours and never played again lol its sad the devs dont care about it its definitely a hidden gem that needs to be unearthed
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dead early access game, what a surprise Yeah I think this was a pretty bold and reckless game to make, despite how good it might be. I don't know if the gameplay is nice since all weapons are locked behind level, which I can't rise without getting a matchup... in a dead game. Yeah no one is playing this, and seeing the stats, it never had enough players for the matchmaking to be a good experience. Why are the servers still up? Just abandon this game completely, instead of leaving it in early…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is dead. i want a refund
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the game isn't bad, there are too many downsides. First of all, the game throws you into an actual game with human players where you get demolished because you don't know how to play. Secondly, there are very few people. While this game has a lot of potentials, it is not good now. Also, this issue may just be my problem but the fps is all over the place, same for the hitboxes. I would overall rate it 4/10 stars.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Couldn't find players on quick play several times in a row. Will try again, but I'm thinking the games dead already.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/eUewTFSZQ2U Without a player base for multiplayer or dynamic single player content it's impossible to gage what this game has to offer, even after the struggles with overly complex controls.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandonware. DO NOT BUY!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Whenever I loaded anything that wasn't the main menu, my character wouldn't move half the time. I looked in the forums for workarounds, because what I did play looked intriguing, but it became quickly clear that the game is just dead or close to it. Decided to not even bother at that point. It wasn't worth the dollar I spent on it at that point, so I got it refunded. Going to echo what others have said and say that they should just unlist the game if they're not going to work on it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely an amazing game, will admit not many players but from just waiting you find some people who will stay with you and play for a few hours all nice and helpful people. Truly Recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is pretty fun, but I would not buy that game! lol I got it from Humble B.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The player base is dead
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent game, combat feels much like most other swordplay games, might be a bit simpler, but still fun and the fatal blows are fun to watch. The problem is there is no community to play with. They need to add bots or you need committed friends to make this worth buying. If you enjoyed my review join our steam group. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I bought it a while ago, I thought it was a single-player game and found it fun, but now I've tried it and it's a dead online game with no players. I don't know why it's still in the store.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boreal Blade is a melee-centered multiplayer title that will likely divide players. Some will appreciate the depth of its freeform combat and the thrill of precise swordplay, while others may find the steep learning curve discouraging, even with the most basic weapons. Unfortunately, both groups will run into the frustrating connectivity and matchmaking problems that affect too many matches.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is there a particular reason this game has no audio whatsoever?!?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →updates, optimizations, servers and bots would be amazing... For the game; Possibly the greatest combat mechanics, easy to get used to, hard to master. You can change the angle of your sword in any place within a circle, which is unheard of in any other game. Think for honor, but you have not just three but like an open guard where you have to move the sword in the direction of the incoming attack. Sounds hard but its not too difficult because everything is a touch more realistic and slower.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boreal Blade is an intriguing melee combat game that excels in delivering a rich, tactical fighting experience. The game's standout feature is its deep, physics-based combat system that requires skill, precision, and strategy. Players can choose from a variety of weapons and fighting styles, each offering unique advantages and requiring a different approach to master. The intricate controls allow for a high degree of customization in attacks and defenses, making each duel feel intense and…
