Hopefully, more people will see this piece of cinema history. gofile.io/d/eN9ngl

As a kid I had the Dinky toy Black Beauty car and a GH annual, but never saw the TV series. The 2011 movie lost me right from the trailer, but on seeing it, yeah, first impressions were right. A poor film.

It has a deep black carapace and can also be highly destructive of homes if owners are not careful to watch for tell-tale holes. #carpenterbee #bee #katytx #pentax_us #macro

Also Animal Farm, The Sheep-Pig, Watership Down, Wind in the Willows, all animals' pov. Teacher was just trying to be clever. But I was clevererer.👀

Black Beauty would involve harnessing King Kong to a hansom cab in Victorian England XD (Checks Internet) (...where did that movie plot come from, it has nothing in common with the book Black Beauty except title)

unlabelledView post →I watched The Green Hornet from 1940, kind of fascinating to see a radio serial converted to a “photoplay” movie - lots of old timey long black sedans driving around corners super fast. Kato just drove the car, the Black Beauty, which made a crazy buzzing noise that would surely induce insanity.

Absolutely wonderful theme tune but the rest was an instant switch-off and can get in the bin; indeed I think that actually happened because most/all of the English language-dubbed versions no longer exist?

unlabelledView post →I really wish someone would remake the Black Beauty movie because the original does not do the book justice. I think making it an animated film would be the best way to go in order to avoid harming any real life animals. But it should be an animated film made like a Don Bluth film -- NOT like a

Sports movies, literary movies, period pieces, slapstick, now it's all Chosen Ones and IP.
