A couple of DLC is okay but if most of the cosmetics can't be earned in-game instead, the game quickly devalues itself. Another issue is the limited singleplayer offline support. Stop trying to bring the mobile gaming model to PC.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i think the coop is easily my favorite thing about this little hidden gem!! i had so much fun playing the whole farming adventure with my bf especially because he gets to play as my little pet companion instead of another farmer. and him choosing to be a bunny made it 100x cuter, i swear it was the biggest fluffiest little helper following me around everywhere xD we spent our time farming, gathering resources, exploring and taking care of the animals together and i really loved how the coop…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, before the avalanche of verbiage, here is the short version: This game is cute as a button. A fun and easy to play farm sim. Needs more development if it wants to be a life sim. At a sale price it's a bargain of goodness. At full price, you could be left wanting a bit at this stage, so buy accordingly. Now, those with weak eyes or needing food may want to depart, for here begins the voluminous gab! First, is it a grindzilla? Eh, maybe. It has an apparently infinite amount of fetch…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's more of a mobile farm game than a farm game at all. "Click here to upgrade", "Click here to repair", nonsense. There's also micro-transactions in it, couldn't not-recommend this enough, and it's looks rough as well.... dissapointed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just started the game and so far it just feels like a mobile game published on the PC. I love games like this, but it doesn't feel like it is on the correct platform. I'm used to the freedom other games of this type offer, as opposed to having to do quests to unlock different things on the farm.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very beautiful game. The environment is pretty and the characters are very cute. But what really bothered me was the User-Interface. It's too big, takes me by the hand with EVERY single step and gives me a lot of mobile games vibes. As a result, I somehow missed the atmosphere, where I build up my own farm and get to know my neighbours by myself, instead of a journal or an arrow constantly telling me what to do. Thus, I got bored very quickly and the game didn't really hook me. If you don't…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My main gripe is the quality of life and actual gameplay elements, but first, the farm is static, meaning, you can't really change anything it seems. I only played for a few minutes, so maybe later on you can, but it looks like each area has its designated thing it's for. There's already a fence in place to have a certain animal. There's already two plots in place to farm. It doesn't look like you get to place anything, or organise, or plan your layout, etc. All the stuff that makes a farming…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game itself is nice, but there is not enough content for such amount of money. the main quest can be done in +-20 hours and after that there is nothing to do. the possibility of construction is also excessively limited, unless you pay an even larger amount of money for dlc
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i don't like how they are so stereo typical to cats!!!! they portray cats as hissing angry terrifying monster thief! :((((
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really cute with great graphics but it’s not what I expected. It’s giving mobile game vibes with each feature that need to be unlocked before I can buy it. Everything is extremely quest-driven to the point that I’m just clicking from one dialog to another running from screen to screen and farming itself literally takes not more than 5% of my game time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It gets quite boring very easily. At most I would pay €2 for this game. It's very DLC heavy while the main game you go through the story very quickly. Was able to get all achievements; though at some point I was just waiting for time to pass in the game so I could gift residents to boost the relationship. There's no way to speed up time and you cannot go to bed until noon has passed. Meh.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I gave this game the good ole college try. I played it through as fully as I could bare and overall, I did enjoy the cute artwork and casual gameplay, but there's something I gotta get off my chest after playing this for 25 hours. Big farm story is like the toddler version of Stardew Valley. Let me explain. It's almost identical to the already existing farm game except it's missing the components that make a game worth working through. The plotline and storeyine are about as many as the many…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I see this as a kids game but not for adults. It's cute but too boring in my opinion.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is only worth buying on sale. It becomes very repetitive, and I don't like the dev's excuse that "this is how the game is supposed to be."
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →devs made the decision to kill online servers (not a problem tbh - this is favorable) but did nothing to try and migrate those "online" saved games to offline mode thus losing HOURS of playtime and progress why would i give these devs another dime if they are UNNECESSARILY adding online mode to games that DO NOT NEED IT only to GUT them later down the road erasing player progress???
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish there was a 3rd option for rating these games- an ambivalent option that would mean you felt "so-so" about the game. I didn't love this game but I can't give it a thumb's down, really. It has great music and a cute world and characters. The houses and animals are well done and the contracts are a great idea. But the economy is messed up. There is no progression in the money you make from farming and crafting. It seems like the profit margin is @20 gold on average for grown things and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't recommend because of the day length. More below: I really wanted to like this game. I played it for 24 hours before finally giving up on it. I didn't mind that it's clearly a mobile game that was ported to PC. I didn't mind the grind, I actually kind of like it. The characters are cute (wish there was more customization with the MC). I like the way you make your own decor and furniture. However... What ruined this game for me? Is how ridiculously short the days are! You do not…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was very short and very repetitive. The ending of the story seemed pointless. The side quests are simply that of "can you get that for me," which is usually just some basic gathering that you've been doing the entire game. I finished in 25 hours and quite a bit of that was AFK.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is simple and fun. You will not find yourself addicted to the point of hurrying home to play it, but you will find it very relaxing, low-key, and fun. You are given goals to achieve, some simple, some complex, so you feel like you are always progressing even if you are not achieving a complex goal. The scenery is pleasant, lovely colors, cute critters and always something to do. I for sure recommend this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried to give this game more time but it's just boring, collecting things isnt as fun as it is in other games. The conversations arent exciting and the towns people are pretty generic.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I don't hate this game. But I wouldn't say I like it either. If it weren't for the fact I've accientally played over the two hour mark I would return it. I bought the game and the DLC together on sale which otherwise I would never even have glanced at this game twice. Its cute and easy in a braindead way. I can disconnect my mind and just click on things on screen while mentally being three countries away but I'm not having fun doing it. I'm just there. Its a mobile game where you buy all…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels like a Mobile farm game I've played before get stardew, Coral Island, or story of seasons game so much better then this
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s hard to get into the game with the very limited and mediocre character creation options. Also, this game is DLC heavy which can add up cost-wise. Despite being a visually appealing environment, I still can’t recommend this game. This game does not seem finished at all.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Disclaimer: My played time is fully inaccurate as I went AFK often and for long periods of time while in the game. If you are a complex loving, min/maxing, action packed, dislikes repetition in games, move on, this is not the title for you. HOWEVER, if you don't mind simple, cozy games with a bit of repetition and A LOT of cuteness, THIS IS YOUR GAME! I loved it. Gradual introductions to new parts of the game, no pressure or rush to complete objectives, and absolutely adorable…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had fun at first but it became boring a little later. Reminds me of old phone farm games :/
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a cute little farming game. Enjoyable to play. Some things are annoying like having little micro currencies at different stores. Sell cooked dishes to get "gourmet" coins to buy recipes and ingredients. Sell fish for fish coins for recipes and ingredients. You get the idea. It's also annoying when you're in a menu, it exits outs when you complete an action. So say your at the mill and need to make shreds to make animal feed and then make fertilizer for your tree, you have to open the menu…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not much to do in a small world setting that feels empty.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay. I feel like I must write a review because two points here might help someone else enjoy the early game more. This review includes a story spoiler though. This is intended to prevent stress that otherwise might have hindered the enjoyment of players with excessive anxiety about fictional characters. I recognize that I am possibly being ridiculous about this, but I can’t be the only one. CONTENT SPOILER: Grandpa is alive and fine and he has chosen to farm in a new location. You don’t have…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was fun but it seems like it's not finished and isn't ever going to be finished, going by the comments about it. I am playing along, thinking I'm mid way through and suddenly the game is over and there are no more quests. I guess the mystery will never be solved.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is ok I just don't find it satisfying. The townsfolk are pretty two dimensional idiots and a lot of the plot feels contrived. I understand some people can find it charming but I just find it annoying. It's an ok game but I just didn't find it very fun. I also personally don't like collection mini games, like i don't want to have to do a timed mini game every time i wanna pick up some wood or a rock, I get why it's there but its not for me. Spoilers On the main quest I find out…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →yeah its a farminglite game, good for kids.Farming without the tedium ,fairly short though
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and easy. Leveling up happens fast. If you love to gather items and hoard stuff this is the game for you. Quickly get through the storyline just by gathering and having fun. Fishing is easy. Take care of cute animals, and your pet will help you find stuff. Very enjoyable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Zero combat, nothing but relaxing game play. Lots of items to unlock for decorating your house and farm and numerous story and side quests to keep you busy. I really enjoy being able to choose between different companion animals and working to unlock all the recipes for crafting and cooking. Great for my blood pressure!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Big Farm Story is a relaxing farm simulator that begins with a heartfelt premise: after a long journey, your character arrives at their grandfather’s old farm, only to find it in need of care and revival. From that moment, you’re drawn into a peaceful life of farming, discovery, and community-building. The core gameplay revolves around tending crops, caring for animals, and upgrading your farm to bring it back to its former glory. Along the way, you meet a variety of charming villagers, each…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nobody will read my review so I Will Eat 1 Tablespoon of ketchup For Every Like this gets.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Big Farm Story is a cute, put your brain in park, gathering, crafting, farming game with a (so far) lighthearted story. It has a few minor problems and feels more like a mobile game, but it's a good game. Graphics: Great. It's a low poly game so there's no issues on lag or anything and the style is adorable. It really is a pretty game. Music: Relaxing. Nothing really too far out from what you would expect with this kind of game. UI: There are a few choice things that I wish were displayed…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the game, made progress online...I come back after some time from having baby just to see that ALL my progress is GONE! Even though the Devs clearly state that you can still have your online saved progress! WHERE IS IT??? Uninstalling is happening right now because I am not starting this game over. Disappointed...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not the most unique nor innovative farming game out there. I didn't plan to 100% it but it definitely hooked me enough to complete it. It's one of those games where they are cosy enough for a rest day and simple enough for a low mood day. The story is simple but the end of it actually got me teared up and the event quests like Valentine's or Christmas are cute. The soundtrack is nice and calming, doesn't loop too much or be too repetitive or annoying. The controls might be weird…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fun and very cute. I would recommend waiting for Black Friday sales every year to buy this game at 75% off. I had played for one entire day and enjoyed every bit of it, however I am now finished with the game. The story could be a little longer and towards the end the game felt repetitive and stale. Sometimes quests seemed utterly pointless or against the plot especially the final letter quest. For the price I would say its a good game, but then again I have played the main Big…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Big Farm Story is good, but not great. There were quite a few times where I felt bored, and the game has a lot of dialogue that didn't really need to be there. The characters are bland, the quests are bland, and not much about the story stood out to me. What I did enjoy was exploring the map. Wandering around the world was easily the best part of the experience. If you're looking for a relaxed farming game with simple fetch quests, you might have a good time with it. Just don't expect…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Big Farm Story, developed and published by Goodgame Studios, is a charming yet flawed farming simulation that blends elements of life management, crafting, and light storytelling into a cozy rural experience. The premise is simple and familiar: you inherit your grandfather’s rundown farm and set out to restore it to its former glory. As you clear debris, plant crops, raise animals, and rebuild the homestead, you slowly uncover hints about your grandfather’s mysterious disappearance. The game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is def fun to play if you enjoy cozy non-action games. I only wish there was more to it. Hopefully they will come out with a few dlc's to extend the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm personally having a good time with this game but I think it's not for everyone. The game's progress is heavily story based and very linear. So if you don't prefer that kind of gameplay, I don't recommend. but if you don't mind, you'll have a good time. (except for getting all the fishes it's a pain.)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a hidden gem! There is SO much to do. I got this game on sale and I was 100% happy that I did. I think full asking price is fair due to the amount there is to do. The story of the game is okay, the NPC's have some personality to them. The graphics is nice and controls well. I played on steamdeck and it ran flawlessly up until the end of the game when it became a bit buggy but was still playable. Even after completeing the story I continued to get all achievements and that is when…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overly structured and quickly tiresome. I was happy to find this on sale only to find it didn't live up to my expectations. I'm fine with having quests, but the quests lock your progression in the game. There's little flexibility, and I find that exhausting.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been playing this game with my gf and have enjoyed it. It is pretty simple, but there is enough gameplay to get $20 worth. I don't feel like typing an essay, but here's a quick rundown of the game's pros and cons Pros: -Local Multiplayer It's nice that you can play this with someone else. The pet being a playable companion is a fun concept. It's particularly nice when you have someone who wants to be less involved in the game. That comes with a drawback though. The second player cannot…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sometimes very repetitive and annoying. It is hard to get money at first, you have a lot to walk,right,left,up,down...in the end I enjoy the game, still feels short, not many stuff in there. It is really a shame.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this game. The quests are simple and the NPCs are charming. My only complaint is the loading screens :/ there are so many when going to different town locations and it is a relatively small map, so very noticeable. If only that could be updated. Runs great on steam deck. That’s my primary way of playing this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →love the story so far and very chill relaxing but nicely paced game-play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Adorable game. It feels like you arrive in a real town with real people. The npc conversations and the story you find yourself in the middle of is interesting and enjoyable. Lots of things to unlock and things to do. Many years ago I played Big Farm Story online which was a browser game. This is so much better! The game runs very smoothly and loads quickly. There are loading screens in game as you go to different areas of the map but they load extremely quickly. The animals are so cute too. Has…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very pleasant to play, amusing, full of content, and all that packed in 400mb! This game is made with love. I hope there will be more
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s definitely a cute game but the story it’s pretty short wish there was more to it. You start with minimal or no resources at all. Towards the end there’ isn’t enough time on day to do your “daily” task and do quest or even gather other materials. I would only get them game while it’s on sale like I did because isn’t worth full price. Sometimes mechanics weren’t improved from the mobile game and you can tell when performing some actions like decorating your home, farming or even gathering…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a decent game for the price. The main quest line is unique and detailed. However, side quests are repetitive. The rate of story progression is nicely balanced and there is a decent varieties of activities for the player to enjoy. The NPC friendship system needs improvement. It can be tedious trying to discover what items certain NPCs like, therefore it takes longer to build friendship with them. I haven't encountered any bugs in this game; It is very stable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really cute game, enjoying every moment. Story line is lovely, and it is easygoing. Nice game to play while you chill of an evening.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple to understand and great story line! It's just enough that I enjoy it without getting overwhelmed!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game however, after playing and moving away from my steam deck It wont connect. It's an online only game and thats not going to work for me. Sorry, refund requested.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved it so much i bought the DLCs, Great game if your an achievement hunter like i am, all the achievements are relatively easy other then "catching an angler" but i love the story and endlessly playable after the stories completed <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game for a toddler rather than anyone else, i didn't expect much from the this game to start with but it offered even less enjoyment than i expected. You do not chop trees they are logs on the ground and to chop you have have a hit box wheel that indicates when to click. Also support is rubbish, you very rarely see a dev answering players questions in the forums. Day time goes way too fast and you cannot save game unless you sleep first. if you need to leave the game you will be unable to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a way simpler version of Stardew valley, it has a lot of repetitive tasks like SDV but none of the depth. The characters are too bland for my tastes and the mannerisms are the same for male and female making the male feel a little too feminine. Whole SDV had me playing for months this was completed in roughly 24 hours total. Decent to pass the time, if you have the time, but the bland story and little depth left me bored at the end. Maybe if it gets some updates or extra story I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game play, sad that the main story comes to an end so quickly but there are still side quests to complete and they are all achievable.
