Years later, the film also became one of the main inspirations for the hit TV series, BEWITCHED ('64-72), which became a motion picture in 2005.

He also played characters on ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS, THE TWILIGHT ZONE, RAWHIDE, and more.

She played the good witch Samantha Stephens, which earned her 5 Emmy nominations and 4 Golden Globe nominations. She died, aged just 62 in 1995. #ElizabethMontgomery

I had no idea he was quite the dramatic actor, understudying Lee J. Cobb in Death of a Salesman. This was his first film role, & he was uncredited. #TheNoirCollective #WhereTheSidewalkEnds

neutral · AI labelView post →We also watched I MARRIED A WITCH (1942) tonight, an absolutely wild film on so many levels. An inspiration for BEWITCHED but also so different in ways I wasn't expecting. The witch starting out "evil", for example, and the truly bizarre depiction of magic. And some surprisingly modern gags.

So much so you'll notice he's in bed for his last season on Bewitched. On set one day he ended up in the hospital. That's why he was replaced. York ended up an advocate for the homeless
