unlabelledView post →If you can, watch the movie "Behind the Curve" about flat earthers. Watch it to the end. It's frankly narcissism. With the rise of the internet, I think a result is pathological narcissism where someone will believe they are right in the face of facts.

unlabelledView post →Everybody needs to watch Behind the Curve bc you go into the movie thinking it is just going to dump on flat earthers but instead a scientist makes a point that all of them are actually inquisitive people that may have become scientists themselves if society hadn't failed them
unlabelledView post →Now watching: Behind the Curve (2018) I watch this when I want to feel smart.
unlabelledView post →We measure the distance of the moon every month by laser, targeting a mirror array on the moon. I watched a documentary, Behind the Curve, about flat earthers who drove to the NASA space center to explain how everything was fake. On the drive, you can clearly see them using GPS for directions in their car. They don't believe their bullshit, every flat earth influencer story has a point where they were losers and unemployed and they saw easy money in grifting simps.

There's a movie on the flat earth community that I found fascinating called Behind the Curve: link.tubi.tv/yuAVK6JhHTb And it not only shows how people can absorb ideas based on a break in trust...

unlabelledView post →"Behind the Curve" is a good movie about them if anyone is interested. tubitv.com/movies/10000... BTW, I find this to be a useful insight into the psychology involved: bsky.app/profile/conr...
unlabelledView post →There’s a pretty good documentary film called ‘Behind the Curve’ that addresses this phenomenon and the psychology behind it. It’s really interesting to see how many believers are truly earnest in their beliefs and how they reinforce each other.
unlabelledView post →(The movie Behind The Curve is an entertaining look at that world. I think it's on Netflix)
unlabelledView post →Yes - an absolutely excellent film as is a pre-Covid documentary about Flat Earthers called Behind the Curve. It’s denial but also a malign arrogance about having “seen behind the liberal lie” - “I’ve done MY OWN research” ie I follow loads of nutters on YouTube who assure me I’m the smart one.
