unlabelledView post →One Battle was a good-ass movie with the best car chase I've ever seen. Sinners was also dope. It's a No Country/There Will Be Blood year, where Sinners wins last year and next year. Hope people get that.
unlabelledView post →It’s essentially an emergency that you see One Battle After Another in the cinema immediately. Sean Penn will win an Oscar & it has the best car chase in many years. And those aren’t in the top 3 best things about the film. Jesus shitting Christ.
unlabelledView post →One Battle After Another truly is one battle after another. They even say it in the film. They say "it'll be one battle after another". And you know what? They're right!

unlabelledView post →OK, I’m watching One Battle After Anither right now and it’s great so far but why isn’t this movie set in the 80s? It would’ve made so much more sense to have a movie based on the actual groups from the 70s, rather than creating an alternate history where there were revolutionaries in the 2000s
unlabelledView post →Thanks to the Oscars, our local arthouse cinema was showing this again. No idea how I managed to miss this last year, because this is such a fantastic movie. I'd be hard pressed to declare One Battle After Another the better one.
unlabelledView post →Happy to be the first person on this site to remark that One Battle After Another is excellent. Absolutely the best time you can have watching a movie that feels this queasily current. Kevin Tighe is in it. Strongest possible recommendation.
unlabelledView post →One Battle After Another is legit. Best movie of the year? Maybe. Definitely the most important. Political and Timely AF. It's an Antifa ad. This is high praise.
unlabelledView post →I wrote about One Battle After Another, which is not the first great Paul Thomas Anderson movie, but may be the first one that freakin rules
unlabelledView post →Finally watched One Battle After Another. I really enjoyed it, but I’m not sure it’s a “best movie of the year” type film. Between the two, I would have picked Sinners.

unlabelledView post →Sentimental Value is the best film I’ve seen this year but I haven’t seen One Battle After another yet. Hamnet is also very good, and Brendan Fraser is great in Rental Family. Seeing Marty Supreme tonight.
unlabelledView post →Speaking as a longtime Paul Thomas Anderson aficionado, Sinners was a way more important film — and a much smarter film — than One Battle After Another, which was entertaining at times but also full of misogynoir and bad revisionist readings of liberation movements
unlabelledView post →I'm currently in a state of bewilderment on One Battle After Another. Another epic PTA film, just the most surface filmmaking I believe he's ever done, and I'm having trouble wrapping my head around that. Absolutely still a fantastic ride of a film. See this in theaters fam!!

The plot would go on to be the first story arc of Super, and it was cool to see it in movie form! The action was fast and flashy as well, and the animation looked awesome! It was fun to revisit this story arc!
