August Rush
Evan, a musically gifted orphan, runs away from his orphanage and searches New York City for his birth parents. On his journey, he's taken under the wing of the Wizard, a homeless man who lives in an abandoned theater. After discovering his talent, the Wizard gives Evan the name "August Rush" and devises a plan to profit from his talent. Little does Evan know that his parents, Lyla and Louis, are searching for him… From TMDB

unlabelledView post →Batman v Superman is definitely on my list, but I saw the movie August Rush at the dollar theater and almost asked for my dollar back. It was that atrocious. I was livid.
unlabelledView post →I just watched August Rush again, and cried and was moved and enchanted and delighted and swept into the power of a modern musical fairy tale. You guys... It's SUCH a GOOD movie! Epic #storytelling #music #family #love #longing #magic
unlabelledView post →The Fisher King for me. Though I have a soft spot for the very reprehensible character he plays in Dead Again. (And while I don't love the film August Rush, I did appreciate the way that Williams is acting in a much more fucked-up version of the film than any of his co-stars.)
unlabelledView post →Omg August Rush is such an incredible movie!!
unlabelledView post →Missed that reply...but she got a code elsewhere & is here now...all is well, thanks! August Rush is delightful. You will like it. Young male actor is fantastic. Kerry Russel also, always liked her. She's in another not-so-well-know favorite of mine, "Waitress". Another heart to the max film.😌

unlabelledView post →That movie has nothing to do with AUGUST RUSH except the RUSH thing and that it was released in August, but that's consistently the first title I think of for it when I try to remember the name of the JGL bike movie.
unlabelledView post →I finally watched today and I loved it. The 3D graphics were outstanding. The music choices great! I noticed that after the great performance from Celine Dion singing Édith Piaf’s Hymne à l’Amour, there was a snippet of August Rush one of my favorite Film and Sountrack. youtu.be/Ow0R7n94hzI?...

unlabelledView post →3/ This week, I’ve been transcribing “August’s Rhapsody” (technically “Rhapsody in C Major”) from the 2007 film ‘August Rush’, about a young orphan who uses music to try and find his parents. It’s a cute modern-fairy-tale sorta flick, and the music – composed by Mark Mancina – is a tour de force.

unlabelledView post →5. August Rush. I’m a sucker for a heartfelt tearjerker movie and this one has great music on top of a fantastic cast. Robin Williams is perfect despite it being a more villainous role than he usually has.
