unlabelledView post →Army of Thieves is a lovely heist movie that I enjoyed. Not so much Army of the Dead (save Tig Notaro's part, ofc)
unlabelledView post →ARMY OF THIEVES is a brilliant film. If you are ever in a mood for an utterly ABSURD heist film, I recommend THE HURRICANE HEIST (2018), directed by Rob Cohen (THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS). It is utterly LUDICROUS in ways that I find just delightful, combining Disaster tropes with Heist tropes!

unlabelledView post →Army of Thieves (2021) A very popcorny heist movie. Not much to say other than it's quite fun and like I said, popcorny 🍿 like, the story behind the locks is interesting but it doesn't feel complete to me but still entertaining. Apparently it's a sequel-prequel? Might check out the other title.

German actor Schweighofer reprises his role & directs this prequel to Zach Snyder's ARMY OF THE DEAD. Presumably, there'll be less horror mayhem & more comedic crime capers. #filmsky 📽

unlabelledView post →By the way, my first introduction to the Ring Cycle was this movie. No music, just a backdrop for a Ring Cycle discussion. Fun movie if you are OK with a mindless heist movie. Army of Thieves g.co/kgs/SZhmqNh
unlabelledView post →Army of Thieves, the near zombieless prequel to Army of the Dead is a far more compelling film. Would recommend.
unlabelledView post →If, like me, you were disappointed by #Lift on Netflix, go rewatch #ArmyOfThieves. It holds up nicely as a great heist movie. Nathalie Emmanuel s a luminous asskicker, and Matthias Schweighoefer is magnetic and hilarious.
unlabelledView post →…anyway yeah Army of Thieves is much better. 😛 (not the greatest but more or less a light movie. If you want a *really* fun and great heist movie on Netflix go for Red Notice)
unlabelledView post →If you watch Army of Thieves before you watch Army of the Dead and don't know the context, it's a fun heist film where every so often people look at the news on the telly and are like "whelp, looks like America's still got zombies" then shrug and nothing comes of it (complimentary).

unlabelledView post →Army of Thieves is a pointless prequel to a movie that didn't really need it. It's just a very mundane heist movie, that feels really uninspired. Matthias Schweighöfer feels like he tries to emulate a Zack Snyder movie there are some really strong visual moments, (1/2)
unlabelledView post →Correction - Army of the Dead. Army of Thieves is related but not a zombie movie
unlabelledView post →I’m not knocking Zack but here is another old recycled project. Does he not have anything new to work on? So the lead was in Rebels Moons & Army of Thieves but the cult says only James Gunn rehires the same actors. Idk this movie sounds very meh & bland like Zacks career.
unlabelledView post →Last night’s home feature: Army of Thieves Really enjoyed this one! And as much as I liked Army of the Dead, I think I liked this movie even more☺️ #ArmyofThieves
unlabelledView post →"Army of Thieves" is the best zombie movie I have ever seen.
unlabelledView post →We watched Army of Thieves this weekend - a fun heist movie where a mastermind puts together a team of specialists for the big hit. The main character is a huge safecracking geek and very appealing. Strangely there’s a zombie apocalypse going on in the US in the background - we felt that…
unlabelledView post →Was there a director’s cut cut of Army of the Dead? I want to give ZS the benefit of the doubt on that one, because Army of Thieves was a much more entertaining film.
unlabelledView post →Also as a warning to others, if you watch Army of Thieves and think oh that was kinda fun I guess I’ll watch Army of the Dead, NO, they are WILDLY different movies, one is a kinda fun heist movie and the other is brutal and sad and not fun at all and nearly EVERYONE DIES
unlabelledView post →"Army of the Dead was far from surpassing any expectations, but amid its several issues, Zack Snyder actually created a rather interesting post-apocalyptic world. With Matthias Schweighöfer taking on two of the most significant roles in filmmaking - director and leading actor - Army of Thieves feels more like a character spin-off than an actual prequel to an apparently new franchise. In that regard, the passionate protagonist, Dieter, is compelling enough to carry most of the stylized movie.…

If you drink a sip of alcoholic beverage for each obvious plot hole, you'll miss the second half of the movie entirely. 🙄 #hype
