positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Requires an account now for the "Kalypso Launcher" for an offline singleplayer game. Unacceptable. Instant uninstall. Stop letting companies hoover up your data for no reason. Kalypso, remove this pointless bloat and respect your playerbase.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tried to play after having not played for a while. Apparently Kalypso feels the need to force you to sign up with them in order to continue playing. The game is not very impressive in general so giving people another reason not to do business with you was probably a bad move.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They added their own launcher to the game, which doesn't always work correctly and always requires authentication, but doesn't always accept it. As a result, the already average game has become almost unplayable, and I don't recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Forces to create an acoount on proprietary launcher of Kalypso media. I played the game years ago on email that doesn't exist any more and don't have access to the account so I tried to register a new one but get prompt that 'key already used'. When trying to log in on Kalypso website with newly created account (to make a support ticket) it gives an error that couldn't access data for the account. F U KALYPSO!

Gameplay / Story We start on a green meadow, the sun is shining and nothing points to a horror trip. The idyll is only clouded by the realization that we can no longer remember anything. Still, we know the place. We've been here before because the hut in front of us looks familiar. From our dreams... In this meadow, next to the stream, while the birds are chirping peacefully, we…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Look, the game itself is totally fine, but for some reason since the last time I played it they decided to add a launcher to the game which you CANNOT SKIP. There is ZERO excuse as to why I need to give my information to another frickin company just to start up this game, which I used to play years back without issue. This game should be DRM-Free at this point anyway (every game should be but that's another conversation), and instead they decide to make it worse. I'm not giving them my info,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has some Kalypso launcher where you have to make a separate account. I'm not doing that.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Came back to finish this after playing it a bit several years ago. Don't remember if it was the case then, but it requires 3rd party DRM, which is a no-go for me these days.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →How is a 3rd party DRM / account able to be required after I originally purchased it without that requirement ?? Do NOT buy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decided to retry the game after so many years. Requires to install a separated launcher to even play the game Yeah... no
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I truly wish that I had looked at the reviews for this game before purchasing on a sale. I've heard the game is fun, but I have been unable to ever play it. I bought it a while ago and just got around to playing it. As many others have stated, I launched the game to be greeted by another account creation page. There's not an option to skip it and when I tried to create an account and use my key, it said it was already in use and wouldn't let me play the game. I'm sure I won't get my money back,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoy the game and was looking forward to playing it again after a long time, but because I have uninstalled the game on my previous computer and have tried to install it on this new one, I am being barred from playing it because the product key i was originally given is not reusable due to Kalypso's awful launcher/business policy. Do not support this developer AT ALL. If you like this game and have already bought it in the past, you'll need to pirate it. Don't pay for it again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Requires an unreasonable amount of login.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →FORCED 3RD PARTY LOGIN
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game doesn't work anymore. Don't buy
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can no longer launch the game. Although I already have the game in my steam library, the Kalyspo DRM is telling me that my 'product key is already in use' ...for a game that's ALREADY IN MY STEAM LIBRARY! Don't support this nonsense.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You need to download and install and give your information to a third-party launcher to play this game. I don't think this used to be required. I also don't think it's worth your time to do so.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Third party DRM that demands you create an account and the ability to sell your data.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The hell is up with that extra launcher?! If this were a game considered great, or one I couldn’t wait to try again, I might go through the hassle of registering for it (it’s not like it’s hard to create a throwaway email account for the task), but that’s not the case here. Bad move. I’ll keep the memories of a game that was quite fascinating, and also pretty to look at, but suffered from really obscure puzzles.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have so mixed feelings about this. This game is pure nostalgia for me, because I used to really like it a long time ago. It has a great atmosphere, an uncomfortable ambiance, and for its scale, the visuals are not that bad. The story is also quite interesting, I used to be really hooked by it back when I first played it. Unfortunately, the gameplay is the big problem here, you basically have to play it with a walkthrough, which makes it feel mediocre.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Randomly found this game again, after a decade since I last played it. This game used to be in all the bundles, back when bundles were still a new concept. The game itself is actually quite uninteresting, and I remember the only reason I did play it was that I thought the graphics were impressive for a small indie title, lol. It clearly didn’t hold up, and now it's just an unappealing game with a boring story and uninteresting gameplay. Since this game used to be practically free, don't spend…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this probably back in 2013. This game requests me for a product key i already submitted years ago and won't let me play the game. It might be years ago but this product is well wasted and there is no fix to my problem.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice, finally wanted to play this game and what do I get? First I need to set up yet another account just to play this game (Kalypso), all my other Steam games don't put me through this crap. Then, I give in and create an account and now it is telling me that the key is already in use. Wonderful, I got that key from Steam. Nice waste of money!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Product key already in use. Don't want to take the effort for a work around. I think I only paid a few dollars for this on sale, but even that isn't worth the money to try and figure out their DRM and nonsense. Don't buy. I'm just deleting it entirely so I don't even see it in my library.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just downloaded this old game to give it another play through. Why do I now need a launcher and an account to pay this on steam? On second thoughts this game isnt worth the effort. Uninstalled
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game a few years ago without issues, picked it up again recently and experienced the same issue a lot of people are talking about with Kalyspo DRM that says my product key is already in use--of course it is, I already own the game and have been playing it. I've already played the same, I don't really have a need to continue, but I want to come back to not recommend picking it up at this point because there's no reason to support this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is broken. This is a single player game. I bought it a few years ago. The company that made it sold it to another company who updated the game to require an account with the new company. Yes, an account with a company I did not purchase the game from in order to play a single player game. This is BS. It breaks the entire model. Essentially they stole the game from me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yet another mediocre, single-player, Kalypso title that requires you to install their launcher and signup with a Kalypso account. Bad process; bad policy. Maybe with enough of these reviews, Kalypso will get the hint!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the things that has stuck with me about Anna as a game is how weird things seem to be always happening within the house, with little to no regard to whether you're there to experience them or not. It creates this weird feeling since so often games make it so that everything occurs around the player, while in Anna's case everything seems to just be happening, regardless of whether you're there or not, what you do, you're trying to escape but the house is not becoming active because you're…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I walked into this abandoned sawmill thinking, "How scary could it possibly be?" Five minutes later, a random supernatural event happened out of absolutely nowhere...I nearly launched my keyboard into low Earth orbit. Every creak, whisper, shadow, and object moving on its own had me questioning whether my monitor was haunted or I was. This game doesn't rely on cheap explosions every five seconds—it slowly crawls into your head, rents an apartment, and starts paying property taxes. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Requires external launcher. Not a chance. Waiting the minimum 5 minutes to post this review.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Came back to this glitch game to give it another go as it was updated. There YET ANOTHER LAUNCHER. This is a nasty trend on steam now. This was frikken legacy game with no value. The launcher is there purely as an advertising platform. Stay away spend your £8 on pretty much anything else. I'd refund this but I got it ages ago.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ive had this game for yrs, bought it from steam and enjoyed it. thought i would give it another go and got this stupid kalypso data miner bull. ffs, what is this crap? uninstalled, wont buy any other game with this
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Whats with the sign up. your making your game unplayable!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I should probably state right away that I am not familiar with the original game and I went into it without knowing anything about the story. In Anna, we follow a college historian teacher on his journey to a long-abandoned sawmill somewhere in the Italian mountains. Dreams about this place are haunting his mind even though he has no recollection of ever visiting it. His mental health turns quickly unstable, resulting in his collapse during one of his lectures. On sick leave, he accidentally…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like many of the other reviewers I cam back to this game to install and play it after purchasing it years ago. Unfortunately, that is not as easy as it should be, as the game, once installed, sets a screen resolution that causes my video card to constantly change modes. I did eventually get the game running in windowed mode, but the mouse sensitivity is laggy and weird, and I had to Google how to avoid registering with some nasty third-party launcher just to get the game started. I just got a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried to play it many 9 years ago on my mac but the game was chopped and laggy. I tried to play it now with a brand new mac... and it's still the same. The game was just badly made. Too bad, i enjoy the first two rooms before the game run like someone pour a barrel of glue on my motherboard.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is an interesting horror game with puzzles, everything you need to know from a game like this, we can say is the same as the others horror games that includes puzzles. I love the game! But this one is very great <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Anna is a creepy little point n click. weird story but enjoyed this game way more than i thought i would. also has a speedrun achievement which i got a kick out of (not crazy hard but not super easy either, felt good getting it). only downside is a 3rd party launcher, something i normally avoid (looking at you, rockstar, ewwwplay), in this case found it totally worth it - haven't had any email spam from them, isn't broken crap (rockstar was for years) and didn't ask me to update every…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The initially contemplative search for answers begins at a sawmill. The obvious entrances to the weathered building are barricaded or locked. How do you get in? Similar to Dear Esther, you accompany an anonymous man, but he only reveals his thoughts in texts in between. And there is a big difference to the poetic journey in the far north: This adventure is not a storytelling experiment, but relies on classic point&click virtues with puzzles, combinations & co.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥♥♥♥ KALYPSO LAUNCHER!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not my cup of tea and I don't like Kalypso wanting my email, I don't support gaming companies that want me to sign in, I have already signed into Steam and that should be enough!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The original game was somewhat interesting, at least what I remember of it. I was looking forward to continuing with the game after a handful of years, especially now that the extended edition exists. However, now there are substantial barriers to playing the game, including having to create a Kalypso account and use a separate launcher. If you want a particularly stressful read, have a look at the privacy policy. It's enough to put you off - at least it did for me!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i know that this is an older game, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... the launcher for this game is wack af. why does it require a 3rd party account for a single player only game? like wtf?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Walking simulator plus puzzle solving. ok game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →note: i only played the extended edition. it's not a bad game but i feel like it's not worth recommending. in fact i really did not feel this game at all. finishing the game took about 4.5 hours and i put A LOT of extra time into the game to get it 100% completed and see all the 8 (!!) different endings. at that point the game felt kind of ok and i almost started liking it but i guess most people won't bother with all that extra work. graphics aren't that good and the main protagonist gets…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I used to love this game. Tried to play again but now it has a launcher that is completely bugged out and doesn't work.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful game that unfortunately makes you do 3 back flips mid air while juggling a bowling ball with your chin. The game will make you download their own launcher and then you'll have to create an account, verify account, put in a key, etc. Just a bunch of nonsense. The worst thing is that the launcher feels like something straight out of 2008. That being said, if you're willing to do all that to play this game you won't be disappointed. This game does what so few games in the horror genre…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ohhhhh boy, where do I start with this? Just finished playing this on my Youtube channel (link at end of review for anyone who wants to see a gameplay sample before buying), and this is basically one of those games where I really wish Steam had a neutral rating option. Here's the thing - I'm giving Anna: Extended Edition a very tentative thumbs up for just two reasons. 1) Because I will admit that I did like the premise, the visuals and the atmosphere; and 2) because as stated above, there's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →★☆☆☆☆ Terrible! Adventure I was trying hard to like this game, or at least trying to actually play it to see what it is. But that task is just impossible, because this game is an horrible technical mess! First you have to spent an hour just to familiarize yourself with the clunky controls and the horrible mouse sensibility. After that you think your problems are gone, but they're not! You found a lot of things you can do with your collected objects, but very soon you realize they don't make…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay Gameplay wise the game is pretty bad it tries to emulate from Frictional Games like Penumbra or Amnesia with its physics however, when opening doors or shells isn't that bad finding something on the Ground is harder than it should be, the game is also fueled with puzzles that sometimes don't make sense, and are hard to complete without a guide Story The story in the game is pretty intriguing and interesting, and requires some interpretation from a player, so the majority of people…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game unusable and Refund Refused, stay away from this developer also will sell your info to third partys
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I agree with the other users that the whole Kalyspo DRM nonsense with this ancient, decrepit game is complete rubbish. It forces you to create a Kalypso account and the stupid DRM crashes the game when you attempt to run it from Steam. Beyond that, the game mechanics and logic are seriously flawed. Maybe the game is just showing its age at this point, but it is extremely clunky and aggravating. Often times you will actually figure out a puzzle, but because you didn't click in exactly the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved this game when I played it, years ago, two or three times. Good story, tense, scary, somewhat puzzle heavy but not insuferable, and with an increasingly oppressive atmosphere. 8.5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game doesn't work. At all. You literally can't play it anymore. Stay away.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Came back recently to play, turns out now you have to sign up for an Kalypso rubbish. I have never had to sign up before. Now I do, but I won't, so I've just got the RELOADE version from TPB instead. Delete this from your liberty and never worry again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Needs second account on second system bleh.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was a good game back in the day, might be a bit dated now but it was (and probably still is) painfully underrated in my opinion. Dreampainters are (apparently) working on a sequel to this which as the forum suggests, has many eager fans such as myself patiently waiting for it. The DRM still being apart of this is nonsense in my eyes and needs to be removed (game is 12 years old and not selling much anymore). It puts a lot of people off playing it and smashes the review aggregate scores.…
