One of my favourite works, Debussy’s Prelude Faune. Utterly magical. I first came across it when I watched the Italian movie, Allegro Non Troppo.
Here you can listen to the fantastic Allegro non troppo (1st mov.) from Brahms' Symphony No. 4 in E minor conducted by Karajan with the Berlin Philharmonic Orch. In this 1964 Lp recording. A favorite! youtu.be/lZH1Sc9ZqUg?si…
Part 1 I'm like that animator from the old Italian film Allegro non troppo, whose director demanded cheerful cartoons, but he kept slipping into angst. It was supposed to be a happy New Year's picture. But everything went wrong again😔 #Phaistelle #Khaslana #Phainon #Castorice
Benvenuto! ALLEGRO NON TROPPO is now playing at @Metrograph in celebration of its 50th Anniversary. New Yorkers, catch the satirical symphony from Bruno Bozzetto this weekend! 🎶
