Alive
After coming face to face with death, 40-year-old Nora is consumed by an urgent need to feel alive. A lovable French found-footage hangout flick about a vampire musician who humorously chews through the industry; a cool-as-hell blend of Only Lovers Left Alive, Suck (2009), and What We Do in the Shadows.

neutral · AI labelView post →Yeah. The ritual is not great in that respect either. Also I didn't know that No One Gets Out Alive is based on a book of his. That's a great folk horror film. I imagine the book is grossly sexist too.
neutral · AI labelView post →Had a co-worker who would do a power walk at noon. Told her how Stayin Alive is 120 bpm because that's the pace of a brisk walk like JT was doing in the movie during the song. Every time I'd see her walking she'd go Stayin Alive, Stayin Alive.

positive · AI labelView post →Dead or Alive: The Movie. Rewatching the movie now. It is still not good but I feel it is an enjoyable in a “it’s so bad it’s good”. Aspects of what they got from games is also mixed but I’ve come to appreciate this movie during both this rewatch and the marathon I’ve been doing.

neutral · AI labelView post →Dead Alive (1992): Gotta be one of the goopiest movies I have ever seen. I can't believe Peter Jackson made this. it is truly one of the most zombie movies of all time. Just A LOT OF BODILY FLUIDS EVERYWHERE AND IT IS ALL GOOP AND THERE IS AN EVIL BABY. Very fun but nasty movie for a group watch.
positive · AI labelView post →105. BRAINDEAD / DEAD ALIVE even being fully desensitized to disgusting and vulgar content, this film still almost got me to puke. peter jackson going on to be a triple A box office titan director after making this somehow doesn't surprise me. it's great! just uh, go in with an empty stomach.
