I'm concerned that Aliens in the Attic is an actual game that that movie was based on. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility

This averagely funny movie called Aliens in the Attic had a really ugly-hot little alien leader guy that grows massive at the films climax using a growth ray and going "WHOS LITTLE NOW". Ever since then Small characters turning the table and growing big/shrinking others has been a favourite.

This is by no means a waste of time. It is a fun, whimsical, engaging story about kids doing their best, with parents interfering with their duty to protect the planet. The writing is ok, the casting great, the directing and effects certainly good enough.
