Now showing on US #Netflix "Agent from Above". Taiwanese TV series about Chinese mythology/folklore (ghosts, demons, gods, supernatural creatures etc). If you like that sort of stuff set in a modern day world, very interesting watch. #Taiwan decider.com/2026/04/03/a...

After visiting Taiwan recently, I have discovered two: Xingzi (Teensy) 星子, who wrote several long fantasy series, one which became a Netflix TV series called 'Agent From Above', and Tian Yexiang 天野翔, who has written horror novels. Sorry, I only know Pinyin.

I have started the short Taiwanese series Agent From Above and this is my jam. It's very Constantine-like: A man who committed suicide after a mistake he made killed his family is resurrected to work for the *Crown Prince* of the underworld, dealing with ghosts. It's really well presented.

Didn't think I'd enjoy this, but it turned out pretty good. Love how they put a modern twist on traditional Taiwanese folklore - gods, spirits & humans all colliding in a surprisingly fun way. Hard to explain the concept, but if you know, you know. #AgentFromAbove #乩身 #TDrama #Fantasy #NetflixTaiwan 《乩身》｜三太子現身｜Netflix

Agent from Above/乩身, series 1 - took me a while to get into this but ended up really enjoying it. I wasn't expecting it to be so dark though. Fab concept and great visual effects. Yes, I cried at the end. #AgentFromAbove #乩身 #TVSky
