Based on Agatha Christie - The ABC Murders book this game contains the real represantion of Hercule Poirot from Agatha mind.. Have to admit at first i was a bit dissapointed as wasn't expecting the game to be a clicker (As i played before the Death on the Nile and Orient Express) ..and wanted '' run '' with classic Poirot but since is a clicker game you cant really do it ..at least not in this one but after few minutes in the game once the mystery captivate me i started to enjoy everything…

A solid point and click mystery with a great art style, very reminiscent of Telltale's style to an extent. The puzzles are somewhat disappointing, but the choice of voice actor for Poirot is excellent he sounds very much like the man, the myth, the legend, David Suchet. I haven't read the novel, but from my distant memory of watching this murder mystery in film form, it's pretty close to the source material. If your a murder mystery enthusiast and love point and clicks this is right up your…

I love Agatha Christie, but these games don't work for me. The mechanics feel tedious, you wade through tons of dialogue for very few puzzles, and at no point do you actually "solve" anything. At the end of the game, the case is solved without any input from you. Feels more like a visual novel than a game.

On A, I thought I was having fun because of interesting mechanics, charming graphics and decent voice acting On B, the plot thickened, with new characters, more twists, and quaint settings But by C, I was getting tired, of the slow gameplay, the repetitive nature of the puzzles, the pixel hunting and the moon logic, plus endless pop-ups celebrating every mundane click with meaningless achievements, And by the time I finished my ABC and got to D, I was ready to uninstall this uninspired game…

It pains me to give this a negative review, but my god is this game dull. Most of the interaction consists of simply highlighting your cursor over obvious hotspots and listening to Poirot's reactions. "Hmm... I believe the madam is quite smoker." - proceeds to confirm this by clicking on hotspots such as a cigarette in her hand, an ash tray, and a pack of cigarettes lying on the table. Just mind numbing and feels like a murder mystery designed to be played by elementary schoolchildren.

Hours Played: not nearly enough ( solving puzzles, admiring my moustache) Recommended? YES Personal Award: “Majestic Moustache” Bought this game thinking it is a calm detective story. Instead, I got Hercule Poirot sass-slapping suspects with his Belgian accent and solving crimes using 80% logic and 20% eyebrow raises. You play as Poirot, who is essentially Sherlock Holmes if Holmes had sarcasm. At one point, I spent 15 minutes trying to open a drawer because I didn't "observe it from every…

I became a fan of Agatha Christie – and Hercule Poirot – after reading Murder on the Orient Express. So, it was a joy to be able to play as the famous Belgian detective in Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders, albeit much belatedly as a fan of Christie, Poirot, adventure games, and mysteries in general. As far as point-and-click adventure games goes, The ABC Murders follows the genre’s conventions quite closely. Yet, it does what it does well, featuring a mix of observation puzzles, puzzle boxes,…

Great alternative to Frogware's Sherlock Holmes' games. If you are looking for a similar fix and tolerate a lower production value, you'll find it here. Obviously great source material that was respectfully adapted in this game. Well done, can recommend to adventure and detective games enthusiasts.

This game is a wonder in making you feel you're way above average intellect. The observation skills of Poirot are those of a 10-year old kid, to the point you're going to be surprised on how obvious the things you should be observing were. The "little grey cells" moments are just amazing in a bad way: the conclusions are so mind-bogglingly obvious you probably got them way before Poirot even tries to think about them. You'd think the best detective in the world probably noticed something…

I love Agatha Christie. I was very excited to play this. However, the game holds your hand the whole time. There is no need to think about anything. Your cursor changes whenever there's something you can interact with, you know how many clues you need to find in any set area, there are hints popping up even when I don't want them (ex: inspect when he dropped when he walked in), etc. Also, there are SO MANY loading screens. It's a faithful, restful, and visually interesting representation of the story Whether or not you're familiar with the ABC Murders you won't be left wanting by the game's telling of it. There's also the trademark mix of stylish and basic settings, and the points for behaving like Poirot is a nice mechanic too. A point-and-click adventure is just right for Poirot; you don't feel as though you don't have time to appreciate the details, so it's a leisurely game. But there are so many issues with…

I really enjoyed the game, especially the cel-shaded art style and the slow, relaxing pace. It’s also a great pick for the Steam Deck. Unfortunately, I haven’t read any of the books yet, so I couldn’t relate to the characters as much as I do to someone like Sherlock Holmes. I think I would have enjoyed the game even more if I had read the book beforehand.

Agatha Christie – The ABC Murders is a thoughtful and atmospheric detective adventure that places players directly in the polished shoes of Hercule Poirot, one of crime fiction’s most iconic sleuths. Developed by Artefacts Studio and published by Microids, the game adapts Christie’s famous novel into an interactive mystery that blends point-and-click exploration, puzzle-solving, character observation, and deductive reasoning. While it remains accessible and streamlined in its mechanics, the…

This game is VERY VERY buggy and has super slow pacing, at times it feels like a chore just to get through certain parts if it's not crashing. I can't even complete the game because of a bug, and it just locks me in the sequence and crashes, no matter how many times I try to reload my save.. or contact support. The puzzles aren't great, a bit too easy in my opinion as if tossed in to be tossed in. I don't recommend this game, and not worth $15.

Even if it’s been a while since I played it, The ABC Murders stuck with me as a genuinely enjoyable detective experience. As someone who enjoys games, puzzles, mystery & murder, and Agatha Christie! I recommend this game to you if you're the same way. The story line kept closely to the original plot but you get a more interactive feel to it in a game version. My favorite part is probably the voice acting! It gives the game a more cinematic feel and the voices matched the characters pretty well. The art & style stayed in the 1930s aesthetic and the music and ambiance matched the scenes and gameplay. This game is a blend of adventure and visual novels, with some simple puzzles thrown in. The voice acting is really nice and I appreciate this game's depiction of Poirot and Hastings. In terms of the narrative, it stays true to the original story its based on, which will appeal to new and old fans of all things Hercule Poirot alike. It doesn't overstay its welcome too and can easily be finished in 4-6 hours. Highly recommended to play on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

It's alright, the artstyle is a bit distracting, the animation is frequently odd ("She looks sad" with her unblinking, unmoving fish eyes), but Poirot is mostly in character, the story is a decent adaptation, several of the minigames are well implemented (except the clock, that one is shockingly unintuitive), and Mr. Cust was fantastic. First off, the art style really stands out. It feels like you’re playing through a graphic novel, which fits the dramatic murder-mystery theme really well. Gameplay-wise, it’s pretty straightforward. You explore crime scenes, search for clues, and interview suspects. Each conversation and piece of evidence slowly pushes you closer to the truth. It’s not super complex or difficult, so don’t expect hardcore brain-melting puzzles. But that simplicity makes it easy to just relax and focus on the…

Unfortunately, as a mystery lover, I cannot recommend this game. To be frank, I don't even mind that you are not really "solving" the case. It's just that the dialogue choices and puzzles are too non-sensical! For example, "little grey cells" is an endearing phrase of Poirot, but in this game it's just a really annoying illogical "mind map", feels kind of insulting tbh... The only thing holding it together is the sound structure of Agatha Christie's novel, while the game keeps dragging it down.

After the trainwreck that was Murder on the Orient Express, I thought it unwise to try another Poirot game, and yet...the character art in 'The ABC Murders' - which faithfully captures his likeness - plus a steeply discounted price - were *just* enough to convince me to embark on what would hopefully not be a fool's errand. Probably a great game, but defently not for me. I had such a boring time, slowly going through dialogue with annoying characters. This is one of the first detective type games i've played, and this one just seemed very unhelpful with letting you know what you can access, and where you can go. Took what felt like forever just to get through 14% of the game. This is a game for someone else, just defently not me.
