Critics, per Wikipedia
Aryan Khanna noted that the series shifts into mature storylines while maintaining the original charm, comparing it with The Legend of Korra and some other series reboots for new generations; Khanna argued that this results in a fascinating combination of existential inquiry, appealing adventures, and whimsical comedy. Reuben Baron of Paste said that the series is "targeted specifically at a young adult audience", called it a show for "hardcore" fans, and compared the first two episodes to Bee and Puppycat and Steven Universe Future. Around September 2023, the first season of Fionna and Cake received a 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 10 reviews, and 78/100 on Metacritic…

Adventure Time (S1): A cute start to the show. I remembered more than I thought I would. It's a little inconsistent so far, but it's a chill watch!

Kept it real simple with these because I’ve just been so overwhelmed with other work lately, but I still dig how they came out! I really wanted to do it traditionally & I’m super rusty. Can’t wait for the show today! =]

I feel like if I'd followed along and been an active part of the fandom while it was going, I probably would've drawn thousands of pics. Ah well, making up for lost time. Adventure time.

neutral · AI labelView post →Adventure Time - Fiona and Cake: So far this show is simply remarkable. It's Adventure Time for the adults who grew up with Adventure Time ... but it's not edgy, or HARDCORE, or dark and gritty. It's the same style, same heart, but it acknowledges adulthood now.
