60 of 95 · most liked firsthey, nerds, ADIOS, my CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED video game about a man who decides to stop disposing of human bodies for the mob, is the LOWEST DISCOUNT it will EVER GO! 45% off! less than the cost of a wendy's mushroom burger meal! store.steampowered.com/app/1271400/...
unlabelledView post →In case you missed it, Mischief just announced our first game since Adios!!!!!! It's in a city @pabastien.bsky.social and I have been dreaming about for years, and is a postmodern pastiche of... all the games we didn't make! And there will be a shotgun in it. ;)
unlabelledView post →Hey, everybody! Adios is 45% off! That's the lowest it's ever gonna go! If you want to play a game that 94% of people love, you should definitely check it out! It's just $10! store.steampowered.com/app/1271400/...
unlabelledView post →Adios is 45% off on Steam! That's the lowest it's ever going to go!!! If you a game about a pig farmer choosing to give up disposing of bodies for the mob, check it out! If you love it, please leave a review! We're 1% away from Overwhelmingly Positive. store.steampowered.com/app/1271400/...
unlabelledView post →Hey, if you want a great, short, sweet game with fantastic voice acting, you should definitely check out my game Adios. it's 45% off, the lowest it will ever go!! store.steampowered.com/app/1271400/...
unlabelledView post →Hey look it's my game Adios, which made people cry!! If you like it, please leave a review so other people can check it out and because I read all the reviews and they make me very happy
unlabelledView post →www.humblebundle.com/games/indie-... You should buy this bundle and get every game! Yes, my game Adios is in it. It's $13 for the entire collection; it would mean the world to us if you picked it up. You have about two days to do it!
unlabelledView post →30. Adios You play as a pig farmer who doesn't want to work for the mob any more. It's a short game, you can easily finish it in an evening, but it's incredibly tightly paced and I've compared it before to a Coen Brothers movie.
unlabelledView post →Games I'll never make: an Adios-style game about people reminiscing at a funeral about a guy who died too soon and they're all trying to talk around the fact that his death was extremely funny and stupid. He deserves dignity, but it's hard not to laugh
unlabelledView post →Adios was very difficult to write because I had to write a game that situates you in the character's head even though the character is not you. Some people wanted to roleplay, to make decisions. They couldn't empathize with the character--to embody him even though he isn't them
unlabelledView post →I recommend everyone play Adios, a game I wrote about a person choosing to leave a bad situation. I'm fascinated by characters who do not possess power. Can't wait for people to see what we got coming next, since that's a game where the player character is _decidedly_ less powerful than most.
unlabelledView post →my theory is that the most interesting innovation Ive ever seen comes entirely from people who want to create moments in time they've never seen before in a video game, and the shit that blows us away is those moments, and I tested that with things like Adios and the experiments with dialogue
unlabelledView post →you all should buy this bundle to play my game Adios
unlabelledView post →the reason? the actors fucking struggled with it. this is also a guy who wanted to voice characters in the game and name them after himself apparently he's gone around telling people he actually created Adios, even tried to sneakily change his credit to a role he didn't have to 'prove' that
unlabelledView post →this endorsement of Adios by @brendaromero.bsky.social remains one of the kindest things anyone's ever said about the game. @krisknigge.bsky.social and I are back for our next game pretty soonish Anyone here know if I can get in touch with Brenda for a possible game consult?
unlabelledView post →Adios was a game about dealing with some of the worst pain I'd ever felt. Waifu Death Squad (I almost typed the real name, oops! not yet! NOT YET!) is about figuring out where you belong and facing fascism. I _really_ want to make this game about picking up the pieces and building a community next.
unlabelledView post →and on my old twitter account, I pitched a game about a guy selling spam musubi from a food cart getting approached by someone who said "hey, I know you. you used to kill people. i want you to kill someone for me." and it turned into a very johnnie to style video game that's about Hitman from Adios
unlabelledView post →There was someone who said they didn't like my game Adios because the characters never outright state "I want to quit helping you dispose of bodies for the mob" even though the entire game is them talking about this without saying it aloud. Some people only want stories to be direct messaging.
unlabelledView post →Oh, I'm adapting Adios, the video game.
unlabelledView post →44. Adios Short narrative focused game where you play a pig farmer who disposes of bodies for the mob, who decides he doesn't wanna do that any more. I compared this to a Coen Brothers film at the time I played it, and I stand that, it's very well written. store.steampowered.com/app/1271400/...
unlabelledView post →i want you to note that he's sending me edits telling me how amazing the scripts are in December 2019 we started production on Adios in August I wrote the entire game, solo, while dealing with jaw surgeries and severe pain, from about mid-september to December. And this wasn't fast enough for him.
unlabelledView post →Thread: Just played Adios, by Doc Buford. A really short, beautiful game about a pig farmer who's been letting the mob use his pigs to dispose of bodies for quite awhile. You've decided you don't want to do it anymore. @docseuss.bsky.social
unlabelledView post →I'm thinking about writing a complete and comprehensive history of the development of Adios, complete with a ton of logs since the game was developed mostly in text. Would people be interested in that kind of thing? Just tons of stuff you've never seen before, early drafts and documents, etc.
unlabelledView post →If Adios wasn't a video game, I couldn't have hauled all of Farmer's record collection outside, one by one, to frisbee them shits into the duck pond.
unlabelledView post →the "nice try" achievement is literally that in Adios; I set the game up so that you would point the gun at the guy, and most players do, and they get the achievement, which is me winking at them and going "yes I know what you're doing to do because I designed it that way"
unlabelledView post →Left a review for Adios. Narrative that hit some close to home heart strings unexpectedly. A handful of mini game esque chores but the narrative is the important part. I'd play a sequel.
unlabelledView post →"one of the things I provide as a publisher is telling people their game names won't translate well if they're too long" I laughed cause this is the guy who wanted me to name Adios "a game about two men who have to put aside their differences or one will have to kill the other"
unlabelledView post →oh my god this is the fucking asshole who introduced the chestnut blight to the united states, resulting in the climactic emotional moment in hit game Adios
unlabelledView post →don't worry Farmer from Hit Video Game Adios, Hazel from Hit Video Game South of Midnight got revenge for your ass
unlabelledView post →Adios is in some great company here. Also if the game made you cry you should tell me about the experience
unlabelledView post →That moment in my game Adios, where you get to read the lines the farmer thinks but can't say, is reflective of my experience discovering my grandmother's Alzheimer's, an incident where she nearly killed herself
unlabelledView post →I did not expect myself to be haunted by a game. I shared a post by @docseuss.bsky.social a few days ago. In it, he mentioned his game "Adios". It was one of the many, many games in my Pile of Shame, thanks to an Epic giveaway, so I pulled it out and played it through. Maybe it played me.
unlabelledView post →The sequel to Adios is about a lot of things. One of the catgirls shows up in it. Horse Game, which is about the horse from Adios and the murders he commits after Adios, features at least two more catgirls. Before Laur passed, she created a 'nyanbinary' one who works at a Waffle House postwar
unlabelledView post →Just added to the Video Game Soda Machine Project: Adios. The game's protagonist, a pig farmer with mob ties, repairs and restores soda machines in his spare time. Truly a noble hobby! Thanks, @docseuss.bsky.social!
unlabelledView post →I'm discovering that VGEN has a "Indie game" category in the shop now and a lot of artists publish BL games made with their bare hands there. I'm gonna loose so much money. I'm lost. Adios.
unlabelledView post →I think Adios is fun. It's a game where you tell your dead dog to take care of your wife while you're burning in hell
unlabelledView post →"how does doc plan out a game?" well here's how I mapped out Adios early on 6-11-2019
unlabelledView post →Would you click the "Adios is 45 off" post and share it with a quote tweet and your review of the game?
unlabelledView post →Adios is ten bucks, and it's the kind of game that is worth ten times that
unlabelledView post →the phone call scene in Adios was the first time in my adult life that a game made me cry play Adios
unlabelledView post →Damn... My plan to make Adios, a game about talking to your dead dog about why one day you'll make a better game than xevious, has been called out
unlabelledView post →Adios is an excellent game, and you really should give it the, what... two hours? it's two top-notch hours
unlabelledView post →I personally think we're likely to do the latter the next time we have a self-published game, or if our publisher is cool with us bundling Waifu Death Squad with Adios
unlabelledView post →Adios is really fucking good you should all buy it How many times have I told you to buy a game It's like, this and Outer Wilds that I do this for lmfao
unlabelledView post →Adios is a special game to me because like a few of my favorite games, it takes away your player agency at just the right time for maximum impact.
unlabelledView post →Play ADIOS. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST. PLAY. THE. GAME.
unlabelledView post →Adios remains the one game where I just kinda sat looking at once it ended, trying to process what the hell just happened. Do highly recommend.
unlabelledView post →yeah I'm quite literally telling you the secret that makes Adios work. Right here. This is why my game is rated 95% on steam.
unlabelledView post →Played Adios again. Cried again. Recommend 100%. The animation could use a little work, sure. But the dialog... It's not so much a video game as it is a masterwork short story. www.gog.com/en/game/adios @docseuss.bsky.social
unlabelledView post →Adios is a game i don't think i can handle but godDAMN does this post make me want to try anyway.
unlabelledView post →Between this attitude, the gross QBs, and the overt racism of a game where 70% of the players are African American, I've had enough of football. Besides, I'm in MN. I won't miss the Vikings. Adios, NFL.
unlabelledView post →Adios is a damn good narrative game. I still find myself occasionally thinking about it even years later. And I think it's a steal at $10.
unlabelledView post →my review of Adios is quite old at this point, but still rings true. I don't know if writing for games is still something I want to do, but the game touched me and inspires me nonetheless.
unlabelledView post →So when a game like Adios suddenly says, actually you can’t choose these choices that you’d like to choose… it can hit me kinda hard. I know that sounds odd, so let me share. I think it’s the sudden jolt of remembering that I’m experiencing the world as someone else, the world of someone else.
unlabelledView post →Adios is a phenomenal game that made me cry (TWICE), and you should really pick it up if you haven't. Then you should play it (immediately, you can clear it in an afternoon), so that you can cry too.
unlabelledView post →Adios is a great little game because it made me care about the protagonist even though I have like zero things in common with him. Also I loved how it showed you some potential responses that you could not actually select. Quite impactful
unlabelledView post →Stream Schedule - 31 Aug to 06 Sep - Wednesday 9pm BST : Adios & Demos Saturday 3pm BST : No Stream Sunday 3pm BST : TBD - Maybe No Stream... not sure yet Weird schedule this week due to IRL stuff 😅
unlabelledView post →Adios is crazy good. I made a whole new section on my steam curator for must play games just so this game could be on there
unlabelledView post →This is a game about the last day of a man's life. It ends the only way it can, but as the story plays out you shape what kind of a man he is. People talk about games where "choices matter," about reactivity, but Adios is an exercise in creating choices that matter to you.
unlabelledView post →Bombigol in Houston. Adios this game.
