negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was completely enjoying the game until 40 minutes in when game crashed in the reactor room during the ABC rod sorting for no reason. Played a second time and the game crashed 10 minutes in the unauthorized intruder check after going into a second round of checks unlike before. I don't have the patience to try again now especially since this is clearly a game stability issue and not my PC. Fix stability and maybe I'll try again and update this review.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone who loves both puzzle games and escape rooms: This was entertaining, but i feel like it focused on wrong aspect of puzzles. Instead of focusing on "i wonder how i can find X" or "How do i solve Y" its more about "You know exactly what to do, just need to do it". You know those infamous "Minigames" in video games, where you need to "connect 3" or "spread the fluid between bottles" or "wire the electrical circuit"? Yeah. That's what this game focuses on. If you enjoy that sort of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played all of the puzzle games in the collection, and sadly this is one where I feel like they went backwards in the puzzle design. They were way too simple, the 60 minutes adds a sense of urgency but not enough to make it feel special or make you nervous since the time is generous which is nice. I'm not refunding because I like all the games in the series and I want to keep supporting the developers but I hope the next one is better and they get rid of the timer for more thought out…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Who would build a reactor like this? It's nonsensical even for a puzzle game. As soon as it became "look around for codes written on the walls" I knew things were going downhill. It started off strong with the well written manuals and processes (I could forgive random wires trailing across the room), and visually it's very pleasing, but the gameplay just falls apart with obvious time wasting mechanics I don't feel like I'm fixing a reactor I feel like I'm in a funhouse attraction
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is timed, with no checkpoints. This would be fine, if it didn't constantly crash causing you to start over. Since the answers are static, it makes the timing unnecessary cause you'll probably crash and get to breeze thru all your prior completed puzzles anyway. I ended up refunding as my game crashed 3 times, ~15-30min in each time and I don't want to commit hours competing with the crashing.

unlabelledView post →A new escape room from mc2games, with a time twist! Great puzzles as always, and the timer is well measured :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Game crashed at 45 minutes in, I had just finished the stupid maze puzzle and the game crashed... No saving, have to start all over.. I guess you really only have about 45 minutes to escape before crashing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mixed. Very much mxed. The game is very simple when you're used to time-ctitical tasks. Might be harder for someone without the experience or the level head. Everything is extremely logical (except for one very specific point design-wise that had me stumped for good 10 minutes). All in all, less than an hour required: a few minutes sitting in the menu; way too easy for my personal taste and barely worth the price. I did enjoy it somewhat and will not refund, but think carefully if a game that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The timer creates genuine pressure, and the atmosphere is fantastic, an improvement from previous games. The puzzles are clever and well integrated into the environment. It’s short but intense, perfect if you like real life escape rooms!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like a real life escape room but 1/5th the price
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Engaging and fun. But... If you can get 100 hours out of a $70 game, and that's 70 cents per hour, this game is $8 per hour, giving it 8.75% the value, assuming it's equally fun. It'd only be worth the price then if it was more than 11 times as fun as a full feature game. Is it? No.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved all the mc2games escape rooms so far, but this one is just not for me. Puzzles are way too easy. The only challenge are the time consuming controls, which feel necessary to at least somehow justify the 60 minutes timer. Literally spend more time on waiting for animations after pressing a button than on solving puzzles. In hindsight I'd rather play any of the six previously released games from mc2 again instead of this one. Edit: In addition changed settings reset to default for me after…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lots of puzzles are too simplistic. "Put the square in the square hole... But with a timer!" The timer itself is nothing but annoying, just let me take the time to think about it? I can't even pause the game, pressing escape doesn't stops the timer. The long animations for certains elements are also very annoying combined with the timer. Thankfully I had time left but never put a timer if it has no other purpose than being annoying. I'd recommend the other puzzle games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed the game. At first I thought the timer might be a problem, but it doesn’t. It adds tension through the experience and it adds a layer of satisfaction when you finish. The technical and graphical update from previous games is noticeable, the UX feels great.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't work that well under pressure, so the time limit was super stressing. But still, I had a lot of fun playing and I even managed to save the world on time lol. If you enjoy puzzle games, you will definitely enjoy this one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Extremely short. I 'solved' the main puzzle with 21 out of 60 minutes left on the clock and that's basically it. Feels like there should have been at least two, if not three times the amount of puzzles. Also it has the audacity to run pretty badly despite not looking all that good. No matter what settings I chose it basically always moved between 40-60 FPS. Yes my PC specs may look bad, but I assure you I played way better looking games at rock solid 60 FPS than this. It does not look good…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty cool. Solved it on the first run with 6 seconds to spare.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not super difficult to actually complete on your first try if you have some common sense, but it's only around 60 minutes total gameplay, so buy while discounted!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3 out of 10 game - Gameplay time is roughly 1 hour (assuming you beat it on the first try) - No replayability (Same Puzzles)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've read some reviews before purchasing it, and one of the things I've noticed is how some say this game is not one of mc2games' best works That said, I wanted an experience under 1 hour for a short relaxing game session as a break, and bought it on sale I personally have not been too good at escape room games- always asking for hints which then makes the payoff of solving the puzzles in the end less worth it. In 60 Minutes to Extinction: Escape Room, the puzzles are relatively…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed the game. It's more atmospheric and more polished than their previous releases. The timer kept me on the edge the whole time, and that makes a huge difference. In retrospect, the puzzles are far from difficult, but the limited time is always in your mind making it seem much more challenging than it actually is. While I still recommend the game, there is one aspect I really don't like and that's the unfair game mechanic: If you have managed to gain access to the reactor with "too…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A bite sized escape room with a timer Difficulty: ★★☆☆☆ It is short, but very fun. While the puzzles aren't anything difficult, the atmosphere and the timer adds real pressure and tension, making them feel harder than they actually are. If you have an hour or so of uninterrupted time, this is a great way to spend it. FInally a better, more polished UI and no jank with the 3D world and movement from mc2games. They are improving :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really cool escape room. The 60-minute timer adds real tension, and the puzzles feel logical and satisfying to solve. The atmosphere in the bunker is great.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Satisfying puzzles, fits well into an hour without feeling like you have too much time
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The perfect amount of stress.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short but sweet. Worth it if you enjoy the genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →yes, it's basically just one hour long. but the first two rooms, especially the compressor room, have decent complexity to them, that make it worth your while. Straight recommendation, especially at a sale/ discount.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of MC2games's games that I've played. Its fun. Would still recommend. I guess I can see what people say this might be their weakest title. The puzzles are a little too strait forward and spelled out very extensively in in-game instruction manuals. The devs put a lot of time into neat interactable things and then realized to had to explain the how to interact for players to be assured they even had a clue they were going in the right direction. I did not appreciate that the game was too…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played all the games from this dev and like others, it's my least favorite. It's still good, but it's very heavy on reading manuals so if you have a reading associated cognitive disorder, or just don't like games of that nature, this is going to be a tough one. The other games they have made are much better, but this is meh. I had to run it twice because reading the manuals demolished my timer the first run.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed this game. I enjoyed the puzzles, the atmosphere, and the execution of the game. I needed a bit of escapism and this provided me with exactly that. It's a fun little mission and if you like escape rooms - this may be for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This SUCKS!!!! The game won't even start. re-installed 3 times. shut down my PC rebooted and still nothing Actually each time it gets worse. Wasted 8 bucks. I'm getting really tired of Steam games not working
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is really bad it keeps crashing just make it less laggy DO NOT RECCOMEND (if I could give this a -1 star I would)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Didn’t think I’d get this stressed solving puzzles 😂 The timer makes everything way more intense.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks great and feels more immersive than their previous games. The time mechanic is nice, stressful, but manageable. In general a really good experience. I felt more like a real escape room.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bruh.. I beat the main section with less than 3 minutes remaining. Way to get my heart rate up at 2 am
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Forced motion blur, seems to be some sort of weird mouse smoothing too. Pretty much completely unplayable garbage. Had a look on the dev discord, questions about motion blur are ignored. Same in the discussions on steam. Seems like pure incompetence.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Enjoyed it, hope they make another one similar.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, it was a decent game. Very short though. Performance might have been choppy, but that might have just been because I was streaming to Discord (A friend wanted to watch me play it), as when I ended the share screen for a moment, it was perfect. Might just be one of those games that doesn't like Discord for some reason. I will make a note that the game crashed once when the door opened to get to the Reactor.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can you add like side things that you can turn on in settings that allow you to get like achievements because I kind of want more achievements in the games so you can turn it on in settings to get more achievements and stuff but not everyone needs to do it I thought it might be a good idea
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →actually, its just a puzzle game with a nuclear power plant theme and has nothing to with real nuclear power
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1 hour of gameplay, zero replay value, one-shot achievement, and the puzzles are broken. Not worth it if it was free.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I COULDNT ALT TAB BACK IN AND HAD TO RESTART THE SECOND ROOM WAS TOO MUCH READING FOR A GAME ON COUNTDOWN IMO BUT PRETTY COOL,
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1.1 hrs on record. i'm still alive.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Per other reviews with crashing issues, mine did the same thing on my all in one computer. Since then, I moved up to a gaming computer and problem solved! That said, this game is not my cup of tea because there is just too much to do in the allotted 60 minutes for a solo player. It took me several segments of redo's to get through to the end but it wasn't fun to be under the time pressure, particularly when you have to solve "physics final exam-like" problems. As such, I'm glad it's over.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →That game is servicable. The puzzles are mostly fun and well designed. Visuals are solid. Controls are a bit wonky. Sadly the puzzles are mostly static, so there is no replay value. There is no save system, which is annoying if you start it up to check it out or just have a bit of time. But if you exit you have to start from scratch. In the current version it will crash two thirds through the game. There is a workaround by forcing DX11 mode. I felt the extra pressure for the last puzzle was…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was torn on whether to recommend this or not. It is not the dev's best work, but it was an enjoyable 1.5 hours. Not sure I would pay full price for it given it was just over an hour of game play to complete. I had to reset because I got locked out of a room that had an answer to a puzzle I needed and I did not write it down, which was furstrating but otherwise it was good. If you prefer to take escape rooms at your own pace I would skip this one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a fan of Escape Rooms, I can say with certainty if this were one that was put together in my city, I'd definitely go and play it (unless it was priced like some of the premium ones around here. $35 per person for an escape room is a little steep). For about $10 CAD not on sale, this gave me similar vibes to one that I did that was similar in nature - although instead of shutting down a reactor, I was tracking a stolen nuclear warhead during the Cold War. In terms of simplicity, this is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've never felt this tension in a game. I completed in the first run and I loved it. In the beginning you relax and think easy going but the atmosphere and music rises and you feel the adrenaline. Well done developers. Wait to see more of them...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't entirely reccomend this game: - Avoid this game if you either really hate or really love puzzles. People who dislike puzzles won't get a kick out of this game, and people who love puzzles will find the puzzles to be way too straightforward. This is my first real puzzle game, and I found it to be a little too easy. - There's no replayability here. Once you beat it, you're kind of...done. Be warned, $8 is a little steep for a one-off experience. - Level design is lukewarm. Good, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Much shorter and easier puzzles than their other titles. This is more akin to an experience of an in person 60 minute escape room. As judged as such I thought the game was perfectly fine and a fun time. I do wish there was a real pause button though as i had to take a phone call, and even while paused, the timer ran down
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short and fun, worth the 8 Euros in my opinion. Not much replay value as most of the puzzles are not randomized in a way that makes them interesting to replay. 10/10 made me want to punch whoever built the place
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommending because it delivered exactly what I expected from the description - up to 60 minutes of puzzles. I finished in 51. I felt the format constrained it a bit. It was completely linear, and the puzzles were all balanced at a "not immediately obvious, but able to be figured out pretty quickly" level. The automatic hints when you spend too much time were unwelcome. I'd rather only begrudgingly manually request a hint after being stumped on something for half an hour, but I guess that's a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The puzzles are fun and simple. Need to implement the randomness in all puzzles, and make the reactor minigames more varied. Would love to see the updates.
